Ich wurde in den 80er Jahren geboren, wuchs in den 90er Jahren auf. Wir sind die letzte Generation, die auf der Strasse gespielt hat, die Erste, die Video-Spiele gespielt hat und wir sind die Letzten, die Songs… aus dem Radio auf Kassetten aufnahmen, wir sind die Pioniere der Walkman-Zeit. Wir haben gelernt, wie man den Videorekorder bedient, spielten mit Atari, Super Nintendo und Game Boy. Wir sind die Generation der Thunder Cats, Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles, Transformers. Wir lebten ohne Handy, fuhren mit drei Personen auf einem Fahrrad kilometerweit weil Mami uns nicht durch die Gegend chauffierte. Wir hatten keine 99 Fernsehsender, Flachbildschirme, Surround Sound, MP3, iPod, Facebook oder Twitter ... aber dennoch hatten wir eine tolle Zeit! ich vermisse diese Zeit sehr :(

while I don't disagree, I still think that the 80s "Italo disco" style is more energetic and positivity inducing music than most of the hits of the 90s. You should listen to these songs if you've not done it already, to see what I mean... Just listen to the best Italo Disco songs of the 80s, or listen to the ones I listed above and youtube will recommend you more similar songs and you can go from one recommendation to another until you find dozens of them that can take up the #1 spot for positivity and energy inducing in any ranking of any decade after the 80s :) And it's not just the Italo disco genre that induces a lot of energy. It's also many other great hits of great bands like ABBA, Harpo, Modern Talking, Yello, Al Bano & Romina Power, and countless others that I don't remember right now, like I said, but which could fill an entire physical booklet were I put them all on paper... EDIT: Dschinghis Khan is not part of the Italo Disco genre, sorry for the misinformation, I just got carried away because I like them too much and didn't initially notice that they're a pop / rock / folk / whatever band (I don't know how to label their style, sorry). Do you know the feeling when you hear the song and you get goose bumps on your neck first? He continues towards the back. Suddenly tears welled up in your eyes because you remember how carefree and joyful everything was. In your mind you try to smell and feel what it was like back then. Es war nicht alles besser, aber sehr viele Dinge waren um Längen schöner und die Welt war noch ein großes Stück ehrlicher!!! Auf alle Fälle war es eine der schönsten Zeiten die Ich erleben durfte und dafür bin Ich verdammt dankbar !!!!!!!!!!

Ich habe das Gefühl das heute alles so kühl ist,d.h die Leute sind nicht mehr so locker drauf wie vor 20 Jahren.Damals war alles Irgendwie anders(auch Stimmungsmässig),und das hat auch die Musik wiedergespiegelt.Heute sitzen fast alle Kids/Jugendliche und Erwachsene in Öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln vor ihren Smartphones/Tablets chatten auf Facebook und co und bekommen gar nichts mehr mit.Schade das es sich so entwickelt hat😢 Und genau deswegen bin ich auch verdammt Stolz darauf,In den frühen 80ern geboren zu sein(bin Baujahr 1981),und meine ganze Jugend in den 90ern verbracht zu haben.Denn dieses Jahrzehnt hat gezeigt,das man(auch wenn es heute ganz Praktisch ist)auch ohne Smartphones,Tabets,Facebook,Twitter etc überleben kann😉😄 Lieder wie United(besonders der Anfang wenn der Refrain losgeht),oder von DJ Bobo,2 Unlimited,Haddaway,Masterboy,Snap,,East 17 lösen bei mir Gefühle und eine Gänsehaut aus,das man nicht erklären kann😉 Vermisse dieses verrückte Jahrzehnt😭

I have the feeling that today everything is so cool, that is, people are not as relaxed as they were 20 years ago. Back then everything was somehow different (also in terms of mood), and that was also reflected in the music. Today almost all kids / teenagers are sitting and adults on public transport in front of their smartphones / tablets chat on Facebook and the like and don't even notice anything. It's a shame that it has developed like this! And that's exactly why I'm damn proud of being born in the early 80s (I was built in 1981) and having spent all of my youth in the 90s, because this decade has shown that one can (even if it is very practical today ) can survive without smartphones, tablets, Facebook, Twitter etc. Songs like United (especially the beginning when the chorus starts), or by DJ Bobo, 2 Unlimited, Haddaway, Masterboy, Snap, East 17 give me goosebumps and feelings that cannot be explained. Miss this crazy decade !!!!

R.I.P. Prince Ital Joe. Popmusic always reflected the Spirit of Time (Zeitgeist in German) to express everything the generation felt about life, about the world. In that time, the wall did fall. Decades long confrontation of east and west and the real danger of total nuclear anihilation had ended like from one moment the another. We felt all so free, so much peace vibes. All people from Eastern Europe came to the west, people from the west visited the east for the first time. We saw, no enemy anymore, we saw only lovely people. We were happy. The positive vibes kept on all over the 90s. The love parades of Berlin. That meant much more than young people dancing, taking drugs. It was peace and happiness, positive vibes. We thought, there will be peace forver. Little did we know, what the future will bring. 9/11 made the definitive change to the worst again. How we were that silly, how the people of the world would accept new animosity in the world. I feel sorrow for the young generation, now and guilty that we lost it. Anyway like the words of this song, it represents to me the longing of a unified humanity than any other. Thank god for the life I was able to live.

Ohne Scheiss. Mein Sohn(19)kannte Mark nur als Schauspieler.Da hab ich ihm erstmal aufgeklärt,das er schon berühmt war ,als Modell und Musiker.Die besten Zeiten hat mein Sohn nunmal verpasst und ich muss alles bei ihm noch mal durchkauen.New Kids on the Block,East 17 ,Vanille Ice usw..Hab auf einem Flohmarkt einen Walkman gekauft und eine Hörspielkassete, stilecht von den 3 ???.Er stand da wie eine Ochse vorm Berg,und suchte den USB Anschluss zum Aufladen.Gut da war er 14 Jahre alt,aber trotzdem lachhaft. Stellenweise hab ich wohl hier und da ein Fehler bei ihm gemacht.Meinem Neffen gegenüber hab ich den Namen "He-Man"fallenlassen.Er dachte zuerst das wäre ein Transgender Begriff. Das ist erst 5 Monate her und er ist 16.Meine Nichte ist auch so ein Fall. Ich erwähnte mal "Bonanzarad"und sie fragte wie gross die Akkuleistung ist und wann dasauf dem Markt kommen weil der Name geil klingt.Sie ist beinahe 17.Ich glaub ich muss mal eine Retroparty veranstalten und alle verwandten unter 18 einladen.

Ich wurde in den 80er Jahren geboren, wuchs in den 90er Jahren auf. Wir sind die letzte Generation, die auf der Strasse gespielt hat, die Erste, die Video-Spiele gespielt hat und wir sind die Letzten, die Songs… aus dem Radio auf Kassetten aufnahmen, wir sind die Pioniere der Walkman-Zeit. Wir haben gelernt, wie man den Videorekorder bedient, spielten mit Atari, Super Nintendo und Game Boy. Wir sind die Generation der Thunder Cats, Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles, Transformers. Wir lebten ohne Handy, fuhren mit drei Personen auf einem Fahrrad kilometerweit weil Mami uns nicht durch die Gegend chauffierte. Wir hatten keine 99 Fernsehsender, Flachbildschirme, Surround Sound, MP3, iPod, Facebook oder Twitter ... aber dennoch hatten wir eine tolle Zeit! ich vermisse diese Zeit sehr :(

Ich habe das Gefühl das heute alles so kühl ist,d.h die Leute sind nicht mehr so locker drauf wie vor 20 Jahren.Damals war alles Irgendwie anders(auch Stimmungsmässig),und das hat auch die Musik wiedergespiegelt.Heute sitzen fast alle Kids/Jugendliche und Erwachsene in Öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln vor ihren Smartphones/Tablets chatten auf Facebook und co und bekommen gar nichts mehr mit.Schade das es sich so entwickelt hat😢 Und genau deswegen bin ich auch verdammt Stolz darauf,In den frühen 80ern geboren zu sein(bin Baujahr 1981),und meine ganze Jugend in den 90ern verbracht zu haben.Denn dieses Jahrzehnt hat gezeigt,das man(auch wenn es heute ganz Praktisch ist)auch ohne Smartphones,Tabets,Facebook,Twitter etc überleben kann😉😄 Lieder wie United(besonders der Anfang wenn der Refrain losgeht),oder von DJ Bobo,2 Unlimited,Haddaway,Masterboy,Snap,,East 17 lösen bei mir Gefühle und eine Gänsehaut aus,das man nicht erklären kann😉 Vermisse dieses verrückte Jahrzehnt😭

I have the feeling that today everything is so cool, that is, people are not as relaxed as they were 20 years ago. Back then everything was somehow different (also in terms of mood), and that was also reflected in the music. Today almost all kids / teenagers are sitting and adults on public transport in front of their smartphones / tablets chat on Facebook and the like and don't even notice anything. It's a shame that it has developed like this! And that's exactly why I'm damn proud of being born in the early 80s (I was built in 1981) and having spent all of my youth in the 90s, because this decade has shown that one can (even if it is very practical today ) can survive without smartphones, tablets, Facebook, Twitter etc. Songs like United (especially the beginning when the chorus starts), or by DJ Bobo, 2 Unlimited, Haddaway, Masterboy, Snap, East 17 give me goosebumps and feelings that cannot be explained. Miss this crazy decade !!!!

Decades long confrontation of east and west and the real danger of total nuclear anihilation had ended like from one moment the another. We felt all so free, so much peace vibes. All people from Eastern Europe came to the west, people from the west visited the east for the first time. We saw, no enemy anymore, we saw only lovely people. We were happy. The positive vibes kept on all over the 90s. The love parades of Berlin. That meant much more than young people dancing, taking drugs. It was peace and happiness, positive vibes. We thought, there will be peace forver. Little did we know, what the future will bring. 9/11 made the definitive change to the worst again. How we were that silly, how the people of the world would accept new animosity in the world. I feel sorrow for the young generation, now and guilty that we lost it. Anyway like the words of this song, it represents to me the longing of a unified humanity than any other. Thank god for the life I was able to live.

Mein Sohn(19)kannte Mark nur als Schauspieler.Da hab ich ihm erstmal aufgeklärt,das er schon berühmt war ,als Modell und Musiker.Die besten Zeiten hat mein Sohn nunmal verpasst und ich muss alles bei ihm noch mal durchkauen.New Kids on the Block,East 17 ,Vanille Ice usw..Hab auf einem Flohmarkt einen Walkman gekauft und eine Hörspielkassete, stilecht von den 3 ???.Er stand da wie eine Ochse vorm Berg,und suchte den USB Anschluss zum Aufladen.Gut da war er 14 Jahre alt,aber trotzdem lachhaft. Stellenweise hab ich wohl hier und da ein Fehler bei ihm gemacht.Meinem Neffen gegenüber hab ich den Namen "He-Man"fallenlassen.Er dachte zuerst das wäre ein Transgender Begriff. Das ist erst 5 Monate her und er ist 16.Meine Nichte ist auch so ein Fall. Ich erwähnte mal "Bonanzarad"und sie fragte wie gross die Akkuleistung ist und wann dasauf dem Markt kommen weil der Name geil klingt.Sie ist beinahe 17.Ich glaub ich muss mal eine Retroparty veranstalten und alle verwandten unter 18 einladen.
