But wait, why would this version of Mjolnir have the "worthy" enchantment? That only happened because Thor attacked Jotunhein. This version of Thor is friends with the frost giants, so he didn't attack them, so Odin didn't take his powers and enchant the hammer.
Think prior it was still enchanted so only thor can wield it. I mean it was specially made to help harness his raw lighting powers
@@NibbleMyKibble that is true
That is a good point as far as MCU continuity is concerned. In Marvel comics the storyline of the enchantment is different and would have survived this change in plot.
Good call! Odin never cast that spell, so Carol should be able to easily throw off the hammer.
I don't think Captain Marvel's eyes stopped glowing. Pretty sure she just blinked. It's the natural reaction to getting hit in the face. You can see her slow blink and her eyelids block the glow at 13:00.

I like how Loki, being raised by his own family and not in Thor’s shadow, does not become evil. In the main continuity it’s his inferiority complex that brings out his dark side. But here, he is the rightful heir to Jotunhiem and does not need to constantly prove himself.

About Loki Variant in 8:56 i dont think the one in Loki was a mistake, Loki was shrouded by Odin's magic to literally look like an asgardian, so this variant may still work, especially seeing this variant is wearing asgardian clothing, it could be just the sacred timeline Loki, if he retain his skin color one way or another, that he would get when syncing with the casket, it doesn't mean that Loki was always supposed to be giant sized
I don't think it's Odin that is shrouding him. If you rewatch "Thor", Loki shapeshifts to look Asgardian the moment Odin touches him and Odin looks shocked. Loki is a shapeshifter and I think that this might be a reflex.
@@AndrewJohnson-oy8oj that could be it too, but keep in mind, forst giants couldn't do magic, at least not asgardian magic, and whatever he did was definitely an asgardian magic that Odin probably got taught by Frigga, who then teach loki to do it too
9:53 If you look closely at Thor's right arm, you can see his "Science" tattoo that he received earlier. The writers truly don't miss a thing.

Yes, it's more likely that Loki, who becomes a better and better shapeshifting through his life, just shapeshifted into as large a form as he could manage. We see in Thor that as soon as Odin touches him he reflexively shapeshifts to look Asgardian.

No your are right Odin put the worthiness spell after Thor attacked Jutenheim. But before that Mjolnir could only be lifted by Thor, The worthiness spell allowed other people to take it and prevented Thor to have it if he wasn't Worthy.

I noticed in the fight Thor drops his hammer like Aria in Game of thrones. Catches it and hits Capt Marvel.
Actually "Thor's worthiness" is just his strength because the hammer gets cursed when Thor is sent to earth and learns his lesson. He isn't worthy, just really strong. Also i love your videos they are so awesome and point out so many details I don't catch!
Odin enchanted the hammer after he banished thor so after that anyone who wants to use the hammer needs to be worthy it not about strength cuz Cap could still hold it easily granted he has super soldier serum in him
Cap also had the power of Thor cuz "whosoever be worthy will hold the power of Thor"(Odin cursing Mjolnir)
Considering the frost giant variant we seen in Loki was a hologram, we can't really judge what size he was, but I agree that he does look more human sized considering he is still wearing "fine Asgardian leather"
I think it's more like if Loki like his real self more after he found out and in that universe he never been stolen

You just spam this under ever ep 7 video?
*To be honest I make fantastic videos but people don't watch them😞*
He was a frost giant in this episode, because he was returned to Laufey, so his appearance was never changed by Odin.
In this episode notice no one says Loki was abandoned. There was a battle and afterwords Odin simply found baby Loki and returned him to his father. No one actually says Loki was abandoned in this timeline. Laufey wanted him back. Different timeline…
Right at the start of the episode it's said that in this timeline Odin found baby Loki (just like in the regular timeline) but didn't keep him and brought him back to Laufey. Who in that scene seems overjoyed to be reunited with his baby son. So, at least in this particular timeline, Laufey didn't abandon Loki but the baby probably ended up alone near the battlefield by accident (perhaps some mistake during evacuation?) and his family was searching for him. Odin saving and returning Laufey's lost son also obviously lead to a much better post-war relationship between Asgard and Jotunheim. Here Asgardians and Jotuns don't despise each other but are on good terms and there must be regular visits between the two realms. The result is that the princes of those two realms not only know each other but are very good friends.

He is aware what should happen in one universe, but if a variable arrives from another universe this probably breaks what's supposed to happend.
There multiple watchers in comics that watch different groups of timelines. So the watcher in the end could be a different watcher that isn't supposed to see it.
Well here's the kicker. He IS all knowing. Ultron was just able to operate outside of that.
16:44 Also when Captain Marvel says "Hello, I am Captain Marvel", Frigga says " Yes, I know you, thanks for EDUCATING my son" by lifting one eyebrow. Even though both Captian Marvel & Thor are lying, being a witch Frigga can read Captain Marvel's mind When I saw that scene, I thought "Oh, definitely this will include in The Canadian Lad's video"
4:39 I think it also makes a reference to the Norse myth in which Thor tried to drink a horn of beer that would never end, but it was actually the sea

Nicely spotted.
Loki in the sacred timeline was small for a Frost Giant, which may be true in other timelines. In this timeline he’s of normal size and was never abandoned by Laufey and left to die when he was found by Odin. He was wanted and and Laufey was grateful when Odin returned him, setting the stage for good relations between Asgard and Jotenheim which is why the princes are bros.
7:09 foreshadowing for jane as the mighty thor in thor 4
Two things, first I think the "infinite mug" thing was actually referencing the time Loki tricked Thor in Norse myth by connecting a drinking horn to the entire worlds ocean and challenged Thor to drink the whole thing. And second if in this timeline Thor being kicked out of Asgard never happened wouldn't that mean that Odin never placed the worthiness enchantment on Mjolnir? If so then it shouldn't be able to hold someone down like it did to Loki and Cap M, especially so since Cap M is as powerful as she is. What are your thoughts?
It wasn't Loki who tricked him, it was a giants, Loki actually traveled with Thor back there. Also Loki was also tricked by the same giants
10:22 a little detail here (right before Thor gets punched) is that they animated his face reacting to Carol most likely pulling her fist back before punching him (offscreen). I loved this episode, both because I’ve always loved Thor as a character and he was hilarious in this episode, and because we finally got the tying plot of this whole series: UltraVision. We all know that this is how The Watcher finally interferes, because UltraVision is a multiversal threat. The Watcher would have been able to see UltraVision coming if he was in the same timeline as Party Thor, but he didn’t. This means that UltraVision has the power to travel in between timelines. Why did Thors hammer had powers(c. Marvel coudnt lift it) ? When Odin didnt curse it?
There's a fun bit when you were describing the different sparks between Thor and CM in the first fight. When CM grabs Thor's left wrist holding the hammer in it, he drops it into his open right hand to catch it.
That reminded me of the Bucky vs Cap fight in Winter Soldier, when he drops the knife to catch with his other hand.

The reference at 5:00 to Thor's refilling flagon is actually a reference to Norse mythology. It is the legend of how Thor is responsible for making the tide of the sea ebb and flow. A drinking competition and someone tried to beat Thor by connecting his horn or meade/ale to the sea and it kept refilling. The scene in Doctor Strange is also a nod to Norse mythology so the timeline of the MCU doesn't matter.
Another detail at 7:39 is that the font of the tattoo is very similar to the upcoming film's font Thor love and thunder.
I think the reference to the never ending drink was probably referring to the time that Thor got given a lot of challenges to do in order to get his hammer back in Norse mythology, one of the challenges being to drink a never ending cup of mead. Maybe, maybe not, either way it made me think of that.
the drink in mytholody only "never ending" because it's connected to the sea (and I don't remmber he doing that in order to get his hammer back, it was only a challenge to see how much he can drink), but either way, he might have learn the magic from the frost giant to cash the same spell to his and his friends's cup, maybe to connect them to a large pool of beer in asgard or something like that.
@@barry8871 Yes, it was a drinking contest - to drain the horn. And it was 1 of 3 challenges thought up in order to teach him humility. I like to think the whole "worthiness" bit in the comics comes from that objective. He also had to wrestle with an old lady, and lost. xD
*To be honest I make fantastic videos but people don't watch them😞*
I thought it was a reference to doctor strange in Thor ragnarok lol
Fun fact. Thor changed the ocean level significantly whilst drinking the unending mead from the sea
Captain Marvel wasn't knocked out of her 'binary' form and then recovered it, as shown by the fact that her hands were still glowing with energy. Thor flung Mjolnir hard into her head. Her eyes squeezed shut from the pain of the impact, then she opened them again.

6:56-7:08 Kurt Russell also played Elvis in the 1979 biographical drama “Elvis.”
Wow, good call.
7:15... I thought that was just a cool af red aura around the hammer. xD
I think the never ending glass is more of a reference to Norse Myth itself. In one story, Thor was challenged to drink from a horn that no one had ever finished. Thor failed to drink the rest of it, but it turns out it was connected to the ocean and he lowered the waterline by quite a lot. But considering not everyone knows Norse myth, I guess the Doctor Strange one makes sense.

So weird fact on the pineapple that I heard at one time, Pineapples are symbols of welcoming and hospitality, which is why a lot of swingers place them out for people to see to let them know a party is going on.
Thanks for the cultural (subcultural?) reference.
4:07 it's of left hand just like in infinity war, but was of right hand in odin's treasure room
When they were fighting in France, it was dark, while fighting in USA, it was day again... Loved to see this huge detail... And... So on your face, flat earthers...
*To be honest I make fantastic videos but people don't watch them 😞*
Captain Marvel shouldn't have been pinned down by mjolnir because Odin wouldn't have ever put the "worthy" curse on it
Why not?
Marvel's way of dissing a certain someone I think. You know who. Ah... Mackenzie Davis should have taken the role instead. They said.
@@DJ-tx3ux So Marvel waited all this time until the Disney plus shows to diss on you know who even when they are prepping for their sequel and wasn't even the voice actress for this character? Bruh ya'll not even trying anymore.
4:09 it’s a left handed gauntlet and in the mine timeline it’s a right handed gauntlet
Kurt Russel starred in a film called 3000 Miles from Graceland where he robbed a casino dressed as Elvis Presley. That's why the Elvis Impersonator looked like Kurt Russell.
Ultron consciousness in the main timeline only can be seen as red-eyed one, and the rest are white-eyed. This ultrons are all red-eyed.. He has a big power upgrade that enables him to have consciousness from his minion bodies too
What are you talking about? He’s alway’s had it he just never chose to use that
The "never-ending ale stein" I think could be a reference to an actual Norse myth involving Thor getting tricked into trying to empty a drinking horn only to find out that the horn was connected to the sea and he could never empty it.

I know me an Dionysus gave him it lol
@@thegodofimagination No, it was the king of the frost giants who set a challenge for him because he kept boasting about how much he could drink in one go.
@@eevee7663 we must gave him different one I am sure we did though to be fair haven't seen Dionysus in a while so maybe I should go check when we did. Either way you say ice giants have them hmm I think I need to visit Jötunheimr

The scene in 16:30 it takes place in Florence because in the background there is a Cathedral called Cathedral santa Maria del fiore located in Florence Italy
the way Thor call Rocket as rabbit is not somethings randomly, he called him that way to make a reference of a cute way he's called in my country. So when we type in our keyboard, "Thor" becomes "Thỏ" which is rabbit in english
13:20 -> The worthiness spell isn’t there. This just means no one can wield the hammer but Thor - regardless. That was the original power of the hammer. The legendary weapons making Dwarves make weapons with Uru which is sensitive to magic. Odin bequeathes it to Thor. No one but Thor can use it. *Until* he enchants it so that Thor’s powers are tied to worthiness - and not simply inheritance. Oh and Thanos Gauntlet was also a magical weapon tied to his will power - per Etri. That’s why they could not take it off his hand until his will faltered when Quill asked “Where is Gamora!?”
Except Hela also used the hammer as well.
So that would have also made captian america unable to use mjolnir in endgame because the worthiness requirement isnt added with inheritance, it *replaces* it.
When Odin *died* his power wanes, so Hela was now the most powerful living Asgardian. She broke his spell trapping her in hell, and she easily destroyed the hammer. The hammer in Endgame is from an alternate reality where *Odin is still alive.* So it retains it’s worthiness spell. The reason that Thor called it to him is that he wasn’t sure and didn’t believe that he was still worthy is Odin’s eyes, but he was.
@@RiskierGoose340 No. I don’t now why you can’t follow the logic of what Odin did, why he did it and what it means. Listen carefully: -> Odin put a spell on the hammer that has two juxtaposed effects: 1) If Thor is unworthy he is stripped of *his* powers. Not the powers of the hammer - *his* power. 2) Even a mortal can possess *Thor’s power.* Again: Not the power of the hammer. Thors power. Steve Rogers can gain the power of Thor because he is worthy and possesses the hammer. Odin’s enchantment still had power because *the hammer is from an alternate reality in the multiverse where Odin is still alive.* Hela can destroy the hammer from this Universe because *Odin is dead* and his power wanes making her (Odin’s 1st born) and not Thor the most powerful living being in Asgard. The reason why Hela escapes from hell is *because* Odin died. The reason why she *easily* destroyed the hammer is because Odin is dead. The Hammer in Endgame is from a reality where Odin is still alive and his sister is still trapped in Hell.
To me all of this is less interesting than why MCU Hela is named after “Hell”. Lol. I believe that there is an untold story about Odin - agreeing to sire a child with the Celestial Goddess of Death (like Lady Death from the comics), and that child turned out to be Hela. This would have happened before he met Friga. But this story has officially not been told by the McU, yet. 😎
"but Friga being a witch can feel something's wrong" honey, she's a woman AND a mother. that's enough to smell his bs lol
Truth
Too bad no in the MCU mentioned that Thursday is named after Thor and Friday for Frigga.
So true lol
Kinda weird Loki's that size when he's a runt
Technically it's a more of play on word of b**ch
Jane getting the Thor Hummer tattoo was an Easter egg of Thor love and thunder huh
Seeing this breakdown after watching all 9 episodes and the Stonehenge detail on how the stuff will be linked is just 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 kudos dude
My favorite detail was the infinity gauntlet callback in the background that was seen in the Thor movies.
Brooo this one is left handed but in main timeline hella pushes a right handed gauntlet
my fav part was darcy mentioning heimdall as he-man
