i just appreciate what you said about the difficulty of the choreo. a lot of people are expecting a harder one because she’s the “main dancer” or what others would consider the best dancer right now, but they also have to consider that lisa is going to be dancing AND SINGING at the same time. heck i literally run out of breath just dancing let alone sing at the same time. lisa has lilis films where she showcases her abilities as a main dancer and ofcourse she’s going all out since she’s only meant to dance while solos (not just hers but most of the other solos as well) will require her to sing and perform since she is, after all, an artist and not just a dancer lol

this choreography is PERFECT for her, she can promote very easily and not get tired, although I thought the money choreo was a bit hard tbh, like the synched jump and the dance break and stuff
I mean just look at Taemin and Kai's solo. There are hard parts but most of the time it's just slow or they showcase body fluidity than just putting a lot of energy. They're the ones who'd sing the whole time so they definitely don't need hard choreo.
@@kandrai Lalisa's stages were sang live, if I'm not mistaken (since it even had mr removed) but after seeing her performance once I already know people are still gonna complain even if she already showed us a lot of her skills in her dance performance videos in lilifilm 😌

I agree that the YGX dance crew can only step up their game performing with idols when they perform with Lisa , cuz we all know that Lisa can only match their level as professional dancers cuz Lisa is literally the best kpop female dancer 👑 she’s indeed a QUEEN

@@shauniek You gotta be kiddin me.. after I read your comment I immediately went and watch it.. There’s no way you could say that. Mino’s song was so upbeat. It is incomparable. They can’t give out the same movement in this song. If you’re aren’t a dancer you wouldn’t understand. Like Jeff said this song has different genre, it has contemporary and hiphop, and has alota levels.. Whereas, mino’s song was constantly hiphop which dancer were expected to have the same level. You arw blind if you didn’t see how intense this dance is..and it is amazing to see that Lisa could do this kind of choreography with the same energy as the entire crew. She wasn’t swallowed by there perfomance.. you eyes will be glued on her and left satisfied.

Everything is in the eye of the beholder, so no need to be offended by me pointing out that they ALSO went hard in another YGA's performance choreo.

We are talking about dancing here… and how an idol can keep up with great dancers such as Lee Jung Lee.. hence, the 1st comment was brought up..It doesn’t make sense comparing it to what the first comment was trynna say. I am not offended I was making a point. I was even interested to watch Mino’s vid, to watch his dancing skills…to see it for myself and to my surprise he didn’t dance and the song was more hiphop rapping and upbeat. Hope that clears everything up… I guess nobody is blind here. We all have our opinions but hope you understood what we were trynna say.
@@string_cheese_lover My opinion still stands. The comment said they only get to go hard dancing with Lisa. Doesn't matter if Mino danced or not, they danced hard in that instance too, so therefore dancing with Lisa is not their only opportunity to go hard. That's just how I see it, they dance hard in many performances through the years. The comparison makes sense to me, if you don't agree that's of course, fine. But my perspective is the same. I'm a fan of all the above Lisa, YGX, Mino, so being a fan is not the point here.
It's really incredible how Lisa can match with men's energy as well. She's the only female idol who can do that in Kpop. Fight me all you want, but ya'll gotta watch her city girls dance practice too, she was literally fire there. She knows how to be girly and snappy with girly concepts, and she knows how to move so manly and so fluid on boyish concepts. That's why many professionals picked her as THE BEST DANCER IN KPOP. Because her stage presence is really insane. Imagine rapping, singing, and dancing at the same time doing so many facial expressions (from cute to fierce to sexy) in one performance. Her confidence is really like a western performer. She has a lot of space in her moves. A lot of the kpop idols just dont reach the international standard of performance, because kpop standards are so limited with looking either cute or sexy only thats why most of the idols only look like they're executing the performance and forcing the facial expressions rather owning the stage and actually enjoy their presentation. This why Lisa's trainee days were very much enjoyed by the judges, hence she was the only top A student in YG (and the fact she's the first non korean full foreigner in YG makes it more amazing). Her facial expressions, her confidence, her aura and energy comes so naturally when she's on stage that there is NEVER a single time wherein she looked awkward or off with her moves.

Right he said close to her or better bahahaha better. Bahaha. Even Lee said it wasn’t hard for Lisa. Lisa seemed tired on lili films but not once did it look like it did it show her not understanding or not getting it easily. Kekeke I do love how you broke it down for everyone about the whole group being the show. But I wish you would have pointed out all the technical dancing Lisa was hitting. She was hitting things I missed that other dancers were pointing out in their videos but she’s moving so fast you have to slow it down to see
This Dance practice is literally a masterpiece
Lisa's attitude while performing is just so satisfying. From cute to sexy baddass v.v real quick. She truly deserves all the recognition she's getting if only YG gives her more opportunity showing it.
I love how Lisa doesn't get washed out by her backup dancer. No shade (cus I telling the truth), some artists, usually some solo artists, gets overpowered by their backup dancers and there's nothing wrong with that, I'm just giving Lisa some credits. 😊
Because some soloists are not really dancers. They're only trained but not talented in dancing like Lisa and other idols
If it's about Kai, nah people are just being gay for the backup dancers bc she's pretty not bc of her dance overpowered his. And antis using her for clout

This choreo got too much critiques, everyone expected a lilifilm tipe of dance but she have to performe this live in concerts with many dancers, i don’t see the need to go hard on this, i think is one of the best choreographies yge pulled out in the last years.

I'm amazed at the synchronization on all of those jumps/bounces and landings. Always on time, and always to the same levels. A great performance by the whole crew, that draws attention to the star. Great analysis, Jeff.

Reaction from a dancer really makes a difference to describe the technicality of the dance. I am not a dancer but I am interested in dance a lot and I can see how difficult it is to perform this but many people don't get it. She did it with clean moves. Really hope we can see a live stage of this song soon.

Lisa's Money and Kai Mmmh is one of a kind. I love how powerful they are as soloist and being supported by their backup dancers in the back. It in facts complement each other.
I loved how you emphasised the difference between a solo and a group choreography. When Money came out, people was fast on saying that YG didn’t give any justice to Lisa as the choreography was “simple” and that Lisa “could’ve done more” than this. Yet, Lisa herself said that the choreography wasn’t that easy and that she had to double time to learn the steps. People, when Lisa says its hard, its hard. Why? Cause in the words of the great Jisoo “Cause she’s Lisa.” Periodttttt.
Can we acknowledge the fact she's dancing in jeans that's also long and flowy. I kept thinking she'll slip but Lisa danced like it was nothing and slayed as usual 🔥🔥😍

When you mentioned MAMA, I literally paused. They never attended MAMA. YG never permitted them.
Because MAMA isn't fond of YG Entertainment and never will. GD would never make a diss rap song about that shitty award show if they treat them good. I remember BP won an award before but gave it to Momoland what the heck right?

The choreo for this was actually made by Leejung Lee together with Kiel Tutin (who usually does BP’s choreos) and Rie Hata (was on Hit the Stage with U-Kwon)
Lisa's charisma is overflowing and her dance is on point her rap is so insane and her vocal is so unreal so good she nailed it and Lisa's visual is aren't joke. Her visual is outta of world and she's so beautiful and so gorgeous, Her Stage Presence is on fire she ate it!!! 👑😍🔥
Yes finally someone saw this choreo the way i did. The first thing pop into my mind is how this feels like a dnace competition kind of choreo! It definitely not smthg bad but i guess everyome was so hell bent on wanting her to go "hard" so they criticise it a lot tht they fail to see the art and beauty in it

When jeff mentioned mama, i was like “ HOW WE ALL WISH IF ONLY YG PERMITS IT” 🥲 i think it’s about time they allow the girls to attend year end awards again. It’s been a long time. Seriously.
I also want it so badly like yeah YG and SM starting to not go to awards especially MAMA since 2017 I think and ofcourse as a kpop stan we want to see our fav but that mf snake mnet have to change their attitude and also have to be fair with all artist.. Why have to manipulate votes and hurt fans which make idols don't want to see their beloved fans get hurt... I still remember what happened at 2017 MAMA.. My thought exactly, the dancers are the highlight of this choreography, your final statement is exactly my thought, when you watch the dancers, you will understand how amazing this choreography is, lisa just needs to pop it at some places and use her charisma to make you focus on her as the center, but because she is an artist, she can't just go hard alone at the choreography, am tired of explaining to people that wants more

I agree with what you said how guys are afraid to do feminine movements. You can always see it in Kpop when a boygroup is making a dance cover of a girl group song. They're afraid to move their hips or any feminine movements and would sometimes change some moves to cater what they wanted. It's unfair when girl group covers their songs with such intensity and swag.

Finally someone appreciated the dance break part. it may look simple but definitely powerful. I think Lisa is the only one who can pull that stance off for that dance break. i love how you pointed out the imagery of the back up dancers. not all people appreciate the back up dancers when in fact they are actually the crucial and essential part of the soloists choreography. thanks for pointing that out. ♥️
i absolutely love how this dance showcases lisa's duality between fluidity and power in her dance! i was actually more overwhelmed than underwhelmed with her solo debut. the hate she gets in this doesn't make sense to me. is it bc her solo debut more fits concerts and live performances, is it bc people don't like many things fitted into one or is it bc it's lisa?
