Dogs are amazing creatures. They are your first defense against intruders, predators and even pest. This video shows how our German Shepherd and Dogo Argentino work together as a unit to locate something under the ground. Having more than one breed of dog is important because they all have different characteristics and skills.

Thank you Sam, I needed this today! After temps in the mid 80’s this week, today is around 50° and a cold rain for the next 2-3 days. Thunderstorms all night last night with very heavy rain. I ache all over, watching your dogs from my bed. ❤

Poor Hammer looked tired or bored with trying to get the critter!! Or maybe he realized Samson was running lead and needed to steer clear?! My dog Nyssa could smell something under layers of snow and kept digging till she caught a mouse living in the hole of a block of cement!! She was very proud of herself and so was I !!!

We have a schnauzer mix, and he digs a foot a minute. That's their breed. Your pups are so sweet. I would honestly choose 4 legs over 2 legs any day. No offense to the fowl family 🐓😅

Really' enjoyed watching this team go at it. Wow, the brute strength of the Dogo is stellar - he's a regular plow! My 1st dog was a Shepherd when I was a little girl in Holland. Dad brought Boots in as a young pup. Great fam dog...pulled my baby sister gently around in a wagon. I've had Labs, (my mom a brown miniature poodle), & SC grown Boykin Spaniels, & now God sent me, Cookie, a sweet 2nd stray cat (the 1st I found on a rainy day crying up in a tree on my 23rd B-Day). Love all God's creatures - yours too! Watching animals play & do their thing is a relaxing pass-time pleasure. Thanks f sharing!

They also have 17 muscles in each ear and their hearing is like I think 80 times better than ours or something like that I don't remember the numbers but yeah hearing and smelling. And it's important to notice these things about your animals and to enjoy that because they're part of the family they're not just work tools

Yes ma’am. Hence the reason they are both considered power dogs.
Plus their pads are like hundreds or more of nerve endings so even if they didn't hear it they would feel it I often tell my dogs if they had opposable thumbs and could make people understand them they could rule the world 😁

@@starkeyfarmstead oh yes! I have a wolf dog though and a great dane/bull massive . Wolf dog 14 years old so he thought Jasmine whos 1 year. She's already getting birds and rabbits but the weasel hole under garage has them occupied whenever movement near. The dang thing git into my garbage inside canopy on back of truck. Through the down holes. No way a mouse could drag a chicken carcass across back of truck and eat the bones 😫 😐

The property I'm ranting is infested where is going to send prairie dogs as well as field mice and other things so that's how my dogs started out but after a while they've gotten better and have caught quite a few of them. Once they have to hunt for their food they'll get better at it too
