Between that and Iran capturing our sailors both situations were a total disgrace. "We don't negotiate with terrorists" smh. When Iran captured our sailors I'd of called the president of Iran and threatened total annihilation until their release. Every day they arent on American soil thatll be another airfield gone. Another cargo ship. Factory. An if they start executing them then I'll level cities. Hiroshima Nagaski style. Put them in their place. I dont know why they even surrendered to begin with. Should of just unloaded the 50 cal on the boats that pulled up to them. If I had been the captain I'd of told my sailors either fight or swim. I dunno maybe there wasnt time. As a former Marine... I agree, we went to war for a punitive reason. We loss more people on both sides at the end of the day. With that said, if this dude was trying to get out because the military wasn't for him. It was the leaders fault for keeping him in. You could have just discharged the dude which would have given him no monetary benefits and he would have gone his way back to the "civilian" life (I know, locals use to hate me all the time when I called them civilians or hung out with them and that word slipped out - but that's how military people view it so I stopped using it). I think the government needs to put something in place to let the people who find themselves not a fit for the military to be able to leave. A focal center for every military branch for these individuals. It's because I still remember people who wanted to get out, but couldn't and that made it worst for everyone who was still in. You see what I mean? So we had to carry their weight on our shoulders and even risk our lives. The military is no different from a job. It's just that we aren't afraid to die at the end of the day. The dude didn't want to be a part of the military, discharge him and go on your way. This cost other military member their lives. Let what I wrote be a statement.
Wow, this sure sounds like the plot of series Homeland lol

Didn't Homeland end up getting really good and kinda anti-Israel and anti-imperialism in the end there? Maybe I should watch it. I know it's shit up until that point.
@@n0vi dude, the show is actually very good, right from the start. The best part are all these plot twists, and the way the show evolves (and changes) through the seasons. I don't wanna spoil too much, but the main cast changes through the seasons a lot, but imho it works very well. The first few seasons are more about the POW that is rescued and who has been brainwashed, and the next seasons take a look at the bigger picture of the middle east through the eyes of intelligence officers. I would say the later seasons get waaay more action, but the first few seasons are just really well written and acted, so they are also worth the watch. I would recommend watching from the start at the very least because you don't want to miss any of the character's background stories as it will be easier to follow in later seasons. Sry for such a late answer, but I never got any notifications for this... I somehow found myself at this video again (that I didn't even remember watching a year ago hah) and I noticed my comment, lol
I thought I was watching the onion lol I was so confused
The dude realized being in Afghanistan was the dumbest thing since Vietnam.
His actions directly resulted in the deaths of other US Servicemembers who would not have died if they were not out looking for a selfish, entitled individual who deserted his post. He is no hero, and as a veteran, I’m disgusted that anyone would think he is!
The guy should be in prison for life for treason because five Marines also died trying to find him
SuperAgentman007 dont you think that doesnt do justice for what they did? Youre going to waste their lives on prison time for someone else? They fought for a cause, and I feel like their cause should be supported. This man should be labeled as a deserter, but I dont believe it’s just to waste another life
I.e. let him live. Its stupid to kill someone that so many people worked to keep alive
Chicken_Nuggets_Are_Pretty_Good I think it would do justice if he did spend the rest of his life in prison because for what he put the US through he allowed five terrorist to be released back into the battlefield I probably costed more Americans lives plus he costed five Marines their lives trying to find him and Obama said well let’s just trade them for the five terrace and let them go now if I was president at the time I set a trap the moment that they would’ve released there hostage I would’ve released the five Terrace and once they got out of range I would’ve had a drone take them out I would still have the hostage in custody but like I said I personally think he should’ve went to prison but instead president at the time praised him and all that even though he caused all my problems because he abandoned his post and decided to leave yeah you are kind of right what purpose would it serve if he spent the rest of his life in prison well one thing it would be a deterrent from anybody else trying to do the same thing
SuperAgentman007 that’s a good point, but as the saying goes, “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”. If we’re always concerned about killing people to get square, we’ll eventually kill way more than what was necessary
So he is finally free. Putting him in jail for the rest of his life makes the death of the give marine 100 percent useless.
Difference between a prisoner and defector.

He joined in 2010...it was the hight of the Afghan War.The US military was desperate.
the coastguard bootcamp is tougher than the marine bootcamp lmao
Coast Guard Bootcamp is amongst the most rigorous because it’s such a selective small branch.
The US military NEEDED WARM BODIES BADLY....They raised the enlistment age to 42 and LOWERED THE STANDARDS TO ROCK BOTTOM......and as I said, Rock Bottom became the New Glass Ceiling...
But the real question is, why is he doing Ballerina?
F for the Korean & Vietnam war POWs that were forgotten by there government
no one deserves to be left behind . bring all POWs home . Always.💖😇 cheers to the Brave men that went to get him..true Valor much respect. 😇💖👀🙏
The guy in the thumbnail looks like Chris Evans.
This guy lived 5 years in fear of not knowing if he survives the next day. Even if he did a mistake there is no need to rub it in. Just let him live his life.
i totally agree, wish more people thought the same :/
What about the real American hero’s that died trying to save his dumbass
Let him live his life, what about the one that did not come home cause this dirt bag left his post on his own accord!
I could be wrong but didn’t he try to get out of the military many times and he kept getting refused? This should serve as a good example as to why you should not force someone who isn’t mentally capable to keep enduring deployment, this whole thing could have been avoided if he was allowed to leave. This is a terrible situation all the way around and the fact that heroic soldiers died in efforts to recuse him is heartbreaking to say the least, I can’t imagine how their families, friends, and fellow soldiers must feel. I think this was a lose/lose situation all the way around and I hope this serves as a wake up all the military to listen when someone says they need help. We should only be sending the best and those men and women should be of a sound mind first and foremost, sending people like him overseas has proven deadly
I thought they were gonna get carpet bombed after being handed over.
the cars that dropped them off were still there, so they would have killed the prisoner and the us agents there.
Just a valuable lesson to learn and remember, even when you disagree with how your team is running the show, you obey your squad leader.
Or just leave the army. He prolly wasnt under a contract so he couldve left
@@memeprez1281 I don't think that is how it works, when you join the service, you loose your right to be able to quit your job, speak freely, and do anything you want. Once you join, the army owns your ass and hole, you follow orders that are giving to you with no IFs, ANDs, BUTs and DICKs. So when you leave you post or your squad, you are disobeying your squad leader, and if I am not mistaking, that is something that you can get dishonorably discharged and can go to prison. In a C.Q.B operation, your team leader will go over the plan for how to approach lets say a medium business office building, three or four floor building structure, your team leader goes over plan and now you are in the building but your team leader decides to change the plan without saying anything, you can't tell him what the f are you doing. All you can do is follow his lead and keep his ass in one piece, you don't leave him because he went a different way the what he or she said before you entered the building, you follow him and keep his or hers 6, safe, and you don't have to like it, but you do have to follow his orders weather it gets you killed, you are doing your job and that job can lead to tragic deaths but that is what you signed up for, doing a job to keep your country safe, and knowing the risks can be high, you signed up to fight, not to flee your team.
Absolutely

USA: We don't negotiate with the enemy (terrorists .by western standards) Taliban: We have your man USA: We never leave a man behind. Name your price?
HAHA
The taliban don’t have a country, they seized it. And if your country is used as a base to attack the US, you are so right it will be invaded.
Western standards? Should we use the terrorists standards, then? If we beheaded people on tv, or burned them alive, you would prob complain. But, no, it is all relative, isn’t it?
TJ Murphy so the fact that they well 98% of the Taliban are not even afghani makes it their country in your mind how ? Yup you’re an idiot just crawl back under your rock please and ty.
They should of located him left him their an just dropped a 1,000 pounder and cleared him out an the people he ended up with
Who is watching this again after the taliban victory 2021..and now no one will ever dare to Cross the border of Afghanistan till the end of this world.. InshaAllah.... We have lots of expectations with u.. Lots of love from indian occupied kashmir..
“Homeschooled”. Well. That’s a start to finding the issue right there.
“Death before dishonour” Abandoning your brothers, post and country doesn’t make you a hero, it makes you a coward. We all bring hell upon ourselves one way or another but most don’t choose to walk right into it, only to beg to come back out.
I literally thought this was steve Roger's before the super solider serum until I clicked.
He is not only a deserter but a traitor!!
This sounds like something someone in gmod rp would do
4 for 1?! WHAT?! This is a joke? Also he deserted? Wht the hell really happened?
5 for 1
They said 5 for 1 half a dozen times throughout the video, where the fuck did you get 4 from?
Shit i thought it was 4 v 1. MENDELLA EFFECT
@@mathew2378 nah, you just forgot what they said in the video

😂😂Why did his parents build a tent outside for him..didn't they want him living in the house with them?
DJ ZILLA to soften the effects of potential PTSD
Bowe resented his parents.. They were extreme religious zealots that overprotected him to a fault.. They stunted his emotional and psychological growth.. He moved away from them as soon he was legally able.. he spent the rest of his time before he enlisted trying to play catch up emotionally and mentally to adjust to the world in reality that we live in.. I have not a bad thing to say about him from the short time I knew him, in the transition after leaving his parents.. I generally think that he was a really fine young man.. Just mixed up.. I just felt a bit sorry for him.. He was in no position to understand his choice in signing up.. He just wanted to better himself.. He always, just wanted to better himself... F****** tragic...... All the way around...
😂😂😂😂😂
0:28 that jacket is 🔥🔥
That guy loves his son a lot and that is what God honors and respects (:

Cant believe no one liked this post. Hadn't thought about this yet.

Talk like a normal person you backward twat. Only code breakers can decipher your shit and once they do there's only one word... imbecile!
Hahahaha agreed
13 sentences n one period... Hmm 🤔....
He's no pow!! He's a traitor!!!
@Kevin Bright HE WANTED TO RELEASE THOSE 5 TALIBAN MEMBERS
At first i thought damn what did Captain America get himself into 😂
The greatest example of insubordination. He deserted his country at the worst possible time. Traitor.
If I was in boot camp with this guy, and he told me he was a ballet dancer, I would asked, “what are you doing in the Army?”.
You know little about ballet then.. They're quite a few football players and sports figures that do ballet ..look it up.. There's a lot more to it than just tutus.. It's a very disciplined art, as is the martial arts.. And you get to hang around with fine, beautiful women ballerinas... Bo was generally a good kid .. And he worked hard in the ballet.. I know because I was right beside him.. Psychologically he wrestled with some demons of his upbringing.. The father you saw fighting so hard for him to come back.. he resented very much .. he never wanted to have anything to do with his father .. Bo lived as a roommate with a woman that I was dating who ran the ballet studio.. Bo was a strong tough kid .. never did I feel he was "light in the shoes" so to speak.. He was overprotected by his parents and stunted in all areas including his psychological capacity.. but he was fighting hard overcome all that. But psychologically and emotionally I don't think he got there yet.. He shared once that he wanted to join up with the French foreign legion.. a bizarre thought, for me to hear from him.. But the next time I talked with him he said he was going to sign up in the US army.. And I wished him the best in that endeavor.. evidently there's not a very high bar on the psychological end of testing , or he still looked potentially like a good hire for the military on his own merit.. but psychologically I worried about him.. to throw this kid into action, was probably not a wise choice by our military.. He needed a job like loading airplanes, or a mechanic away from the front lines.. It's a sad story all around... But he made the choices that he made, even the one to desert .. he got a lot of people killed trying to rescue him..and potentially a lot more people will get killed by the terrorists that got released, for his release.. It's a f***** up deal.. he should be locked up for desertion upon return.. Just like anyone else... But I think he's probably living his own personal hell at this point.. f****** tragic... He just needed a few more years to fight those demons and mature before he was ever able to make the wise life changing choices in life .. overprotecting religious zealot parents, probably meant their best, but they did not prepare him for the realities in life.. One has to live life to see reality ..
