  • As someone who lives in Japan, everything he is saying about what Japanese toilets come equipped with is true. They also have options such as the sounds of nature to drown out the sounds of you taking a poo. They also have a special gas they release from the bowl with covers the smell as well. And yes, they DO clean you way better than toilet paper. I haven't had to use toilet paper in 6 years.

  • I went to a Japanese hotel in Manhattan for work- it was the only hotel available in the area. The concierge kept saying "each room comes with a smart toilet", but I didn't understand. I finally tried one out. After you go, there were 3 different cleaning cycles to choose from, sort of like a modern car wash. Also, you could choose "back" or "front", I assume the latter is for menstruating women (as a male I did not try). A little arm swings out under your butt, and proceeds to do a power wash. Even the gentle cycle was almost too much for me. After that, a tiny hair dryer swings out and dries everything up. No toilet paper needed.

The tons of fuel burnt so you can wipe your butt is definitely greater than the toilet seat which should hopefully last for decades? Also, people don't realise that tissue and toilet paper actually contain micro plastics (aka cellulose), these go on to cause real problems for municipal filtering and likely end up in our drinking water / ecosystems anyway. Im sure you clean your butt in the shower, so why not do it at the toilet as well?

    • Every person I try to recommend this to in real life thinks it's weird. Doesn't matter how many analogies I try to use like wiping shit off your bare hands using nothing more than a paper towel, it's always the same.

    • I had the attachment, ended up using more paper than before to wipe the water off of the butt (it would wet the full moon too tooo much). I don't think I can afford (or have room for) the jet dry.

  • I lived in Japan in my high school days, I remember the Japanese Toilets.. so fancy! I do wish ours had all those features. They even had a different room with the floor tub toilet, now I wish I had one of those back home. Having a house with two diff toilets in two diff rooms was awesome. The grandparents loved that tub toilet.

  • I stayed in Berlin for a couple of days and my room was equipped with a Japanese toilet just like this. Upon trying it out for the first time I basically had the exact same reaction as Randy, perhaps even with more enthusiasm. An experience I can only hope and dream to have again.

  • I'm mixed race Japanese and South Park tends to nail satirizing Japanese culture. If I recall, one of the creators has a Japanese wife and speaks good Japanese, so that explains it. "Let's Fighting Love" along with most of the random Japanese dialog throughout the show is comedic perfection.

  • This to me was a return to form, to me there’s kinda a difference from just doin a current event parody n making a statement about a global problem I really hadn’t laughed n had this much fun with a South Park episode in a long time cheer guys easily one of my fave episodes!

  • I love how the Home depot guy was eavesdropping, but when Randy came out he took two steps back.
