  • The fact that Curtis had to really think about who would win in an Aspinall Vs Jon Jones match up without providing a definitive answer not Only reveals the level of respect he has for Aspinall but also great regard for his technical skill AND as he mentioned the Old Guard Vs the New GuaRD!

  • As a Brit, I am a Huge Aspinall fan. Also, because he is a great Guy BUT I am also a HUGE Curtis Blaydes fan, it would be great to see these 2 fight again!! I hope Curtis wins his fight with Almeida, which is definitely winnable if he fights HIS fight. He deserves the Aspinall rematch, however we all know how in MMA AND the UFC it ain't really about whop deserves what, as things typically don't play out like that. Because if that was the case, then Belal would have fought for the title a LONG ass time ago! But having said that, Curtis deserves BIG fights & Big Paydays!!

  • Curtis maybe Tom’s kryptonite. Toms striking insane. He leads strike differential and shortest av fight time stat leaders. If he had needed 350 strikes to finish his opponents he would have met the threshold to be second all time for sig strike accuracy after overeem. We also know he has trained jujitsu from youth. Tom describes cormier as potentially hardest fight he has avoided. However Tom has 100% td defence and leads the ufc stats for least time in bottom position time and % of fight time so what happens if he is taken by a grapppler. Curtis will answer any questions about takedown defence. Both humble straight talking great people.

  • ALWAYS been a HUGE fan of Blaydes & A match up aKa rematch with Tom would be perfect as their next match-up for both fighters! I like how both have respect for each other & still recall the story of Tom's team inviting him for a drink post fight even though it was in somewhat unfortunate circumstances!! But I like hearing things like that!

  • This was a very interesting interview. About Curtis last fight he was not himself for sure meaning he was very far from being at at his best. Hopefully Curtis is close to being on top of his game when he battles Almaida because I believe Ameida is very sharp at what he does in his combat style, he's built very sharp and he moves very sharp and he's got great anticipation but if Blaydes really brings his A game overall he's going to present some challenges for Almeida too no doubt.

  • Almeida is also a well rounded heavyweight, he could strike too but very rarely he has to show it because he's so good at avoiding the strike game so he can grapple and wrestle his opponent to the ground and then has the technique to keep them there and his level changing is very good. Almeida is a unique heavyweight and the more he wins with that kind of style vs the top top all around fighters in that division the more unique it will make him.

    • @@grandmastersub Not really. His setups and takedowns became sloppy later on where we didn't get to see what he does best work because he had the ko loss back in his mind. Even the fight IQ became more dumb and he started to become more reckless and do mistakes he didn't do before the Lewis loss. Even the two Francis losses made him improve and looked better later on but haven't seen much. Aspinall one wasn't much of a fight and the one before it against Daskus was somewhat of a sloppy performance where he got afraid of going to the ground.

    • @@Yeshuaspupil That's because he was afraid of getting ko'd by Sergei going for a takedown and he became too predictable. Just weird how people haven't noticed Blaydes fight differently after the Lewis loss by being more gun shy in his wrestling approach. Didn't see him evolve at all...
