I am so proud of Stan. He has made me feel back in place and the song centres me. Stan is already a national treasure. He is too humble. He needs to be celebrated more.
Stan IS💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🤩💞
He truly understood the assignment! Ava being so royally talented she recognizes real. Though her discovering Stan was no accident yet spiritually intentional in order for him to continue to gain awareness of his beautiful indigenous peoples❣️ I was so excited the night this showed up on my feed as I play his music EVERYDAY! I cried after the video. It was so Stan. He’s so inspirational and my life is so wealthy to have personally discovered his music 2 years ago.
Totally!
You cannot ever be too humble. Wishing him different is disrespectful.
This song resonates with so many indigenous people out there. To hear the Māori language in an American Movie... wow! 🥹 Ava, thanks for tracking Stan down and giving us this ❤
This song and it’s powerful impact is resonating on a primal soul/heart level with many of us non indigenous people too! This song speaks to deep parts of me,parts that seem to understand it’s message.
@@mandiibloomfield1783glad someone said it. Indigenous vs non indigenous is becoming the new racial divide.
@@craiglyle2966 I think you took my reply to mean something that I didn’t mean. I just felt the lyrics in my bones, even though it’s in Māori, predominantly,& I wanted to express that,& my gratitude to an amazing song, despite not understanding the language,& being a white Australian. I also think it’s wonderful that the world gets to both see,& listen to alittle bit of Māori culture,& their language ,& I can only guess how amazingly proud New Zealanders must be of this song,& Stan walker, and what it represents,& I think that’s a beautiful thing to be honest.
@@mandiibloomfield1783 no, when it’s put into context with the original comment you’re replying to, it makes perfect sense. The fact we’re all referring to indigenous and non-indigenous, is precisely the point.
Stan you killed that song. I shit you not i spent a whole day watching reactions to the song and didnt get bored of one single scene at all. The scene that makes me want to cry is when you go into the second chorus and Maori people fade into the scene . it was like this is us, we are here and this culture, and culture in general is still very much alive and we are not going anywhere. Such a powerful song. my favourite song ending in 2023 is I AM
Totally agree with you!!
Totally agree❤
Haha me too with reactions. Watched heaps and still want more. Most of them have been American men who are just blown away and with on point commentary!! He’s truly blessed and guided 🙏
Me too..!! This song will resonate around the world..
Isn't he just the most beautiful, humble man? 😍 The world needs more 'Stan Walker's' Bless you Stan! 🙏
Yes, he is extra beautiful because he is humble, well-spoken, and over the years, he has demonstrated a strong desire to help those less fortunate. The last part of the interview brought tears to my eyes. He has the love of God in him, because he's doing all the right things, for the right reasons. I am praying that Stan receives the Oscar for the express purpose of “empowering” those who need it most.
Stan I'm so proud of you, to be Maori, to be a Kiwi and to be a New Zealander.
Hes very proud to be māori 😊
@@chanelgarrett3835 Yes, very much.

Stan is a national treasure. (I'm an Aussie - his love of his culture over the years has always been so moving - NZ should be so proud of him)
I'm a Kiwi and this song has blown me away to the max... It sooo resonates with me and our current world... We, People are the change... It's time to stand as One... How can we stand by..... I don't want to be the same... Ly Stan, You're One Amazing Soul...

Being Stan getting an Oscar wasn't his focus to achieve what he did in a short period was meant to be and become a phenomenal global sensation. You know it’s the youngest country’s on the planet that go on about colonialism, what makes young countries so special they don’t have to go through anything old country’s have again and again?? England was “colonised” how many times?? Over how many thousands of years? France.. any other old country but the newcomers who think they’re so special they don’t have to go through the birthing process of inclusion in the world stage? It was a painful, blood covered experience for every single nation but new countries think they’re exempt somehow. Then they say what incredible warriors they are but never fought anyone but themselves.. are these cultures more precious than all who have gone before?
Yes
Hi Kiwicali, is everything OK in your life to why you needed to comment something so out of touch with reality or is there a deeper reason why you had to share nonsense under this interview, that is clearly inclusive to all nations not just that of "young countries". You're comment is narrow yet the meaning behind the film and behind the song is about inclusiveness of nations across the world, which is broad unlike your comment. NZ may have been established as a young country but as a people are not young at all. And not once do we say "we deserve exemption" and only us, we just know how to speak louder and to speak on behalf of a collective. You're really angry and mad.
But also, saying that we haven't fought anyone but ourselves.. do you genuinely believe that to be the truth?
Always gta be one sour apple in the fruit bowl ...just shut up U loser
