#bowfish #bowfishing
In this episode we head down to south Texas in search of some Gator Gar. We worked hard for them all night but we was able to get some of the best bowfishing footage we have ever filmed. This is one of the best episodes we have ever produced. If you like bowfishing, this is one you don’t want to miss.

      @UnGuidedOutdoors@UnGuidedOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
    • Ade Bagus Fadillah the alligator gar population was nearly completely eradicated, so now they mainly populate the southern regions. Some of the larger adults can live to be over 50 years old. They do occasionally eat sport fish but their diet primarily consists of gizzard shad,small invertebrates, birds and turtles. To say that they need to be removed to protect gamefish is nonsense. You have to look towards habitat destruction and over fishing to figure that one out.

    • Depends on the species, gar can wreck the game fish populations, but they are also good eating when fried. Any of the non native carp are just bad for the native fisheries, we shoot those just for the fun of it to get them out of the waterways. Also we have a a farm that we use the fish for fertilizer and to feed the pigs, a lot of turtle farms will buy or take the fish as well.
