Ureterolithiasis at the Ureterovesical Junction (UVJ) with Twinkle Artifact

A stone located in the ureter is not always seen on ultrasound but in the right clinical presentation and by identifying hydronephrosis with ultrasound ureterolithiasis can be our leading diagnosis and management can be implemented.
In this brief video we see a patient with ureterolithiasis located at the ureterovesical junction which is a common area that passing stones becomes lodged. In addition to identifying the ureterolithiasis we can see twinkle artifact which a a reverberation artifact when color doppler is utilized.
