    • Brown dude here...used to work at Starbucks when it was introduced. I got in trouble for correcting people. Also, if another South Asian came in to order it I would ask if they'd had it before. Nobody ever answered "yes," and I would warn them that it is nothing at all like real chai.

  • Tan is just the cutest thing. I love them both. Tan just warms my heart because he's so earnest and kind. Hasan is hilarious and brave. I want them both to be wildly successful. I also love their chemistry together. If they made a buddy movie of a roadtrip they took to, well, anywhere, but to Pakastan and/or India would kick ass!, I would totally watch it on repeat. I feel like I learn things from both of them and I appreciate who they are.

  • As a white woman, I’m soooo happy to see more ethnicities being represented and not just as white + another race. This comment section is giving me life. I know how happy it makes me feel to see women being represented on tv that I can only imagine what it’d feel like to finally see your ethnicity being represented with no shame as well.   • That really really struck me near the end when Tan said "You really are the first person to represent people like us on this kind of show. I want to prepare you, saying 'bitch, don't look for that positivity, you might not find it. Go in with a realistic expectation.'" How the whole video is contagious laughter and then that tough-love line dropped, it's so moving. Like it fits the light-hearted tone sure but it's super grounded and serious and almost cynical, idk. Really moving.
