The BIGGEST difference is from 2016 to 2017. A lot of comments on voice improvements, but what I'm not seeing in the comments is how his timing/pacing got better, and the overall arrangement was perfected. For example, if you watch 2016 he's rushing the silences or rests between some of the sentences, but for 2017 he's finally letting those spaces breathe.
@mudling CAN you help me? I'm having a problem with the first performance-2012. It doesn't look like him, act like him with facial movements, fingers are too long etc. I don't think it is Dimash. What do you think? Elizabeth

What evolution in 7 years ... But for me the two best versions are first that of "the singer" 2017 (which is too bad not to have put... pure love if you watch live performances of SOS in 2019 you can hear he is straining to reach notes more than normal. I think that’s because he has been touring so much his voice was getting a bit tired of 2 hour shows every night.

I’m so glad he added that beautiful run after the last high note in 2017, that run is so beautiful and added so much depth and drama at the end! The song is not the same without that run.
About 2019 one, I wanna say something: This young man have already done what others isn't capable to do, he's BEYOND amazing, beyond spectacular! He's leaving a legacy! What he can do with his voice, combined with his charisma, emotion, humbleness... Is unique! And we can cleary say that he's the greatest singer alive today! He's gift really touchs me. Soooo... I really hope guys he's not charging himself too much, that's self sabotage!!! If sometimes he haven't sang this song soooo amazingly great like before, IT'S FINE! HE'S NOT A MACHINE that brokes and can be flixed!!! Vocal cord it's not a guitar with broken cord that can be changed, he's not an alien like people usually say to describe how absurdly amazing he is, HE'S A HUMAN BEING! Vocal cords needs to rest! After 2h concert, a person gets tired for example, and of course, he won't be able to perform on the same level, THAT'S COMPLETELY NORMAL! Doesn't people understand that?? And that's why lipsync comes in sometimes, to preserve vocal cords's health, and it ain't discrediting his work in absolutely nothing! Is Dimash being charged to much to be ALWAYS 100%?? Or worse: is he charging himself to much?? Nobody can handle with that kind of pressure! Of course, we always have to overcome ourselvs, being better... But I'm worried with him and I was thinking about that, so please understand what I wanted to say. And I hope and pray that Dimash may understand that too, I wish the best for him, may Jesus blesses him as well!

Aqui te das cuenta que el tipo es un perfeccionista, lleva cantando mismos tracks desde hace mucho hasta llevarlos a un nivel en las que él mismo logra superarse. No es que sea un prodigio, bueno en parte sí por lo que hace con su amplio rango, pero me imagino las horas y horas que le dedica a mejorar su técnica vocal, y hasta me da un poco de miedo lo que el ser humano puede hacer por llevar su trabajo a un nivel que no cualquiera lo podría hacer.
Es mi imaginacion o a dimash ya le cuesta llegar a notas altas?
Puede ser, osea es muy bueno, pero es humano y se cansa, y quizás su voz un día no está en óptimas condiciones y le cuesta mas. Igual hay videos donde se nota que hace playback (se nota en que ciertos detalles azarosos que serían imposibles de replicar como por ejemplo, la pronunciación de una palabra en un momento de poco aire, etc).

Paulina Rodriguez no tengo los link a mano, pero es fácil notar que los videos de sinful passion mayoritariamente están con playback, a excepción de uno que solo hace playback en el final para ese gran glissando que hace. Se nota. Haz la prueba, abre 2 videos de sinful passion donde suenen muy idénticos y verás que son iguales, idénticos, duplicados.
A mí lo que más me impresiona es su evolucion. El no necesita playback y me gusta saber q ay quienes creen q lo usa, eso kiere decir q es increíble dimash.
Impresionante como el trabajo lo ha ido puliendo como a un diamante! Tanto vocalmente como su imagen. Quizas cuanto mas aun pueda seguir creciendo ahora que es profesional! Me deja impactada!

Me gusta como canta Dimash y la pasión que pone al interpretar cada canción. La realiza con el alma e irradia paz y ternura en su mirada.
To say, his way around the song improved, would be an understatement. SOS is almost unrecognizable in 2012. In 2015, the song had found a shape and from there he went on experimenting, but i think the overall style was there already. Starting from there, the song grew with his voice, but effectively, 2017 = 2018 = 2019. The differences are in the individual performances, but overall, his Song is unchanged since then. The Performance in 2019 sounds off to me, which is not meant to trash on him, no, actually, i am glad, that he isn't like a record, sounding perfectly the same all the time. Also, his contest performances seem to be stronger, as if he loves to compete. ^^° I liked his Performance from 2018 the most.
