They judged this fight based on his antics & outside of the ring persona, it seemed that the game plan was to take Santingo to deep waters then tire him out and outbox him, I think AB needs one major victory over like Teifimo Lopez then retire and get into real estate or invest his money and be able to pass it on to his children. He skipped over 140 and went to 147 to take Malignaggi's belt because he lacked the discipline to keep his weight down, but he still got the belt. If he does have 2 more fights this year and keeps his weight down, he has a shot at being a champ again at 140.

Honestly I would because his last 8 fights, minus this one has been all elites and all these too welterwights who call themselves the best, haven’t fought the caliber of fighters AB has. But honestly speaking, he lost this fight. He still is not the same AB. He needs to let his hands go. He needs focus on training, he needs become young AB again. He seems a bit more humble but has some ways to go.

    • id argue Danny has only lost one big fight which was Spence. He beat Porter and arguably Thurman in my opinion. AB in my eyes is still a top contender but HE has to want it that much. If he let his hands fly like he used to and stayed discipline, man... And AB has lost all his big fights but because he’s had multiple big fights man. Name another welterweight fighting the type of people he fought before this dude? Crawford is considered to be like the best in the world and that fool fights school teachers and can drivers consistently. Only dudes taking big fights are the same two you mentioned, and Spence and could argue Ugas. Everybody else in that division and throughout boxing is straight ducking each other on some soft shit. There’s only a handful of cats who are really down to call out fellow Elites and actually follow through. So while you calling them losers, I’m respecting them for actually taken the chance at being great. Your favorite fighter ant doing that right now. Most fighters ant, very few do it.
