I think they really nailed it with the 1.3 / 1.4, so much that I have five pairs total, three of which are FG and the others IC and TF. I'm still not sold on the new Ultra, including last year's version, and for that reason I bought ahead with the 1.4's to hold me off a few seasons.

Ultra 1.2 for me, were the superior with that upper material and comfort and aggressive soleplate
Would you recommend going up 1/2 a size from last year model, I was a spot on 10 in the 2022 ultra ultimate.
Ultra 1.4 I believe was on to something. My nephew loves playing in them and I’m continually looking for it but they’re getting harder to find.. I think puma moved on from the ultra way too soon
The fg ag is really safe an ag pitches after wearing Nike and adidas fg boots on ag. Feels really safe
I have the Teal ones they where very tight espesiallly because i had gotten the female version i even tought i had gotten the wrong size but i kept them and once i broke them in they have been amazing and perfect

I don't understand what's wrong with the knit being tight but the difference between the guys and females version of the ultra boots is that the women's has the knit much lower as opposed to the gusy which is much higher so i think that the female version is better in that hwo they put hte knit lower

Personally, these are step back from the Ultra 1.4. Puma had the lightest boot on the market while still being reasonably comfortable and they threw it away.
I can vouch, I've used the Ultra 1.4 for a few months now and it is incredibly light and barefoot while still being fairly soft (although it does feel a tad bit plasticky in the hands, it's not noticeable on foot)

I bought the "150 euro" model for 50. Broke them in today. Simple facts: -good fit -roomy -my passing and finishing and feel to the ball was top notch. - heel touch is nuts. -passes felt subliminal / Downsides: have the High ankle model, kinda starting to hit my heels at the end of practice. Left foot somehow felt more tight than right model.(prob breaking in thing.) White, so they already are durty. Spot on the heel thing. I feel some tape fixes that. Just tapes your heels/ankle with this boot.
This is just a step back from the 1.4 I guess puma never heard of the term if it’s not broken don’t fix it
Most people will benefit from using a shoehorn to put these on, especially with grip socks.
What boot feels most similar to the upper of the ultra 1.1 and 1.2? They’ve been my favourite boot for a long time
The Ultra 1.4, hands down.
Personally I felt like the 1.4s were too plasticky, I was a big fan of that knitted feel of the 1.2 and 1.1 and how the forefoot of the knit seemed to have a bit of extra material as padding to take away the slight rawness of hitting a ball
The new balance Furon v6 or v7 these were the lightest boots with a ridiculously soft and comfortable upper

How to win dribbles against defenders trying to contain ? I find it relatively simple to beat defenders that go straight for the tackle ( by just pushing the ball out of their reach and running past them ) but how do I get past defenders trying to block and contain ? I cant figure it out for the life of me best I manage is a cross pass any help is appreciated
I don't think its relatively bad to face players that just block and contain since you could pass the ball easily, and that is a good thing. Soccer is not just about taking players on all of the time, and is just to doing the right option depending on the situation. BUT two skill move that is really effective against these types of players are fake shots, and consecutive feints, but in order to execute these skills you need to make it second nature. Dont always dribble straight into open spaces. Dribble straight towards the defender who is containing. When you go straight at them you will confuse/freeze the defender which will allow you to now move into the open space.
Have they changed the padding in the heel? Cause the last one gave horrible blisters and pressure points.

@@catroyal2121 Haha indeed, the last ultra ultimate gave me an horrible inflammation in the heel due to some weird pressure points as well. Besides that the boots felt amazing to be honest, just couldn't wear them..🤦

It seems boot technology for the Ultra has peaked so we see similar variants of the same boot rather new generations which are genuinely better than the predecessor. Sideways move Puma.
Any tips on how to put them on? Tried to help my 9 year old son and it is virtually impossible.
You can Google " tool for putting on shoes " you'll find a plastic small stick which will help your child to put them on easily

Ag is better because of safety. Its not a good idea using fg on ag because you ron the risk of injury.

@@fame1hunna they are very tight! So just a half size down for me was suffocating. I also couldn’t even put my foot in, that’s a problem I se lots of people have, not being able to put on the boot. But the upper feels nice, it’s thing and allows you to feel the ball, you could get some power shots In.

If you have wide feet, Mizuno is great. Others, I would prefer, Nike or Copa sense from Adidas. Puma just gives me blisters😅
