The drag operator is waiting for the dozer to make him a set. The set must be level, compact, and uniform for the drag to operate efficiently. The drag shouldn’t have to wait for a set. A good dozer guy always keeps the drag swinging.

Hi Bennett, is this a 1550.? Looks like the one we had in the u.k. Big Geordie, 69- 93,scrapped in 2003 what a waste, like poetry in motion to watch.

eebygumful I think this is a 1450. Yes it does look similar to the 1550 apart from the four cord boom and mast.

That's a different dragline it's showing a Bucyrus 1450w and down in the pit is a Marion 8700 that's casting up to the 1450

Warum haben diese großen Bagger keine Kettenfahrwerke ? Damit könnten sie sich doch viel schneller bewegen !

Sie sind so konstruiert. Evas Erklärung. Wenn die Trittdregline auf Raupen wäre, würde es im Boden begraben und nicht in der Lage sein, sich zu bewegen. Sie sind nicht umsonst so gemacht. Die größten Wanderdreglines, die jemals gelaufen sind, waren Tempo. Die größten waren Russen und Amerikaner. Amerikas größter Name war Big Muskie und der russische Name war ASH 100100 auf den Regeln des Urals. Und diese Firma wurde Uralmash Institute genannt. Und dieser Amerikaner hatte 126 ccm Volumen in einem Löffel. Und die russische hatte eine Kapazität von 100 kubic meter in einen greifen fon eimer. Er war 100 meter hoch. Aber der amerikanishe war hoeher. Wie hoch weis ich nicht.
