Travel Hack #17 is still a mystery to me 👀!
Great tips! The personalized makeup bag was a nice touch. Where did you get that from? Would be a great gift idea for my spouse. As someone who works in digital marketing, if you go through a site like Tripadvisor to another third-party, it’s likely that it (Tripadvisor) is sending over a digital tracking tag to the destination site (Agoda) when you click on the URLs. This is a referral link and when Agoda sees that link has specific referral tag parameters, that likely triggers a discount between the two sites. You can sometimes see this in all the HTML URL tracking parameters in your URL window by all the &-tags after the first ? In the URL string.
This travel video was excellent; straight to the point, in a polished and professional manner! Thanks very much for sharing your knowledge.
This is a seriously amazing travel hack video. It was full of S+ level tips and I can't wait to try them! Especially the turn-a-layover-into-a-stopover hack. I didn't even know that was a possibility. Thank you!
Travel hack #1 might be true, but in this instance, the difference in money was in exchange rates. Air Canada was through the Canadian site using Canadian dollars, while the United site was through the American site with USD. So because the USD is stronger than the CAD, the price on United would definitely have to be lower.
this is so insightful and not the usual advice everyone gives
your travel tips are actually so useful! I’ve been thinking of getting the AMEX card aswell. Could you make a separate video about the credit cards you have and the pro’s and cons? I’m so confused to how it all works🫶🏼
Oooo aww I’m so glad you found this helpful! For credit card info, definitely follow Nerd Wallet cause they’re sooo detailed about each card and they lay out the pros and cons :)
Straight up, best travel video I’ve watched with actual tips that I can practically use! Looking forward to more of your content!!!
Mahalo for the useful tips! Some new to me. That was a lot of info clearly and concisely delivered in 13.5 minutes. Well done! Newly subscribed.
The Tripadvisor trick is so true!!!!
Definitely going to remember tip 18!
This has to be one of the most helpful travel videos on the internet! Thank you Maya!🤍
Glad it was helpful! :)
Another Traveling Video, plus the Travel tip Number 1 is my favorite
Thank you for sharing your travel tips! Pinned maps is a great time saver, won't waste time driving back and forth. :)

Thank you for these great tips. Your videos are always so useful.
So many great tips. Will try the bed bug tip and the trupadvisor
Thank you so much for these tips- so helpful! And thank you for explaining turbulence- that helps me😊
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much for these tips. I’m traveling next week for about a month alone and this video was very helpful ❤
Awww I hope you have the best time!
Thank you so much for these tips, great to hear some ones I haven't heard before. Would also love to learn more in depth of how you make your spreadsheets and travel itineraries if you don't have a video for it already.
I loved this video ❣️
Great tips! Thank you!
Thank you so much for allllll of this advice and information and tips!!!!! 💞💞💞💞💞💞
Wow! Travel partner tip blew my mind 🎉❤
Thank you for these tips. I recently started using my Google maps more to pin points of interest has been great. God bless
I just came back from a solo 2 week trip to Korea and I LOVED IT! I didn’t do many attractions that involved buying tickets for, I did a few but they weren’t expensive at all, but Klook seems like a great option as I was looking through it after seeing your video so thank you so much. I’ll definitely be using it for when I go back to Korea because I loved it soooo much I’m definitely going back 😃
Thank you ma'am for this video ,so helpful 💜🇮🇳 I love your voice ma'am as always 😊
Thank you for the information
Wow I didn’t know about any of these! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this. Definitely will get an E-Sim instead of a pocket WIFI when I go to Japan next year.
Good content and the same regurgitated travel tips from other videos. The one about booking through 3rd parties is important. Note, you do not get or points with the hotel property if booked via 3rd party. But you do get 'stay night' credits. This was true for the Marriott family.
You showed your Chase Sapphire Preferred card and you mentioned lounges. That card comes with the Priority Pass lounge card, which, for me, has been terrific worldwide.
7:33, That's the case for me (I am 20 if your wondering my age)and my dad 2 years ago when I flew United, Boeing 777-200ER from San Francisco to Kahului on a almost full flight in economy class, seating on a middle and aisle seat, but after takeoff and seatbelt sign is turn off, I move to a window seat for the view outside and for empty 3 seats and the flight is good, 5 hours. 8:46, Same when I flew Asiana, Airbus A330-300 from Honolulu to Seoul in June of 2017, they have bassinet and yes my baby sister is less than 6 months old and it works. I wish all airlines have bassinet.
You don´t need phone or data-connection to use GPS ( Google maps), just download the map of the area you going to visit while you have internet (home or at the hotel)
I got the BILT card because of you 😊. Can you make a video on how to us the points or transfer the points to flights or hotels etc. ?
Thank you & you are so cute!!
Pinned maps great idea
I'm number 15 hahaha every hour, feels nice to know I'm not the only one with a bladder that loves an airplane bathroom
Thanks for your video. How do you purchase plans once you get the eSIM? Is it quick to do at the airport?
The Universe is about to open that door you’ve been praying for. Are you ready for your blessings?
Here for MAYA
Thank you for being hereee ❤
The trip advisor tip and the airline alliances helped me understand because I was trying to book a delta one flight but it kept saying Korean air and I was so confused
Awesome dear friend 😊😅😅😅😅😂😂❤
Thank you! This video is actually very helpful but I still have heard that in different countries have different volts? Like do we have to have something to convert power if we was bringing hair straighteners or blow dryers? (My dad told me this im not 100% positive this is true or not)
Yes it is true :) I’ll make sure to talk about this in my travel gadgets video next month ❤
Great tips. E-Sim card drained the battery on my smart phone sooo fast. It wasn't worth it.
Oh noo!! 😭 I feel like my iPhone battery has been dying so quickly already so I didn’t notice hehe
@@mayaleex3 Another tip is to carry a powerbank, at least 5,000mAh
Can’t wait to travel with these tips
How about Kayak? Do you use Kayak to book flights and hotels. I always Kayak all the time and it work.
Kayak is an option, too!
Book in the hotel wed always cheaper them using any 3 party site
You can also make your pins as emojis. I use steak for my food places!
I will fly to Thailand as our honeymoon. If you tell the Counter, do they want to see any proof? If so, I would bring it with me :D
Thanks sooo much, this is so informative and helpful ❤ We appreciate your hard work🥹
Hi! What about the luggage incase we change from layover to stopover since usually the airlines themselves move the luggage to the next flight.
Good question! :) you have to decide to do a stopover in advance before your trip, and then the airline treats it like it’s two different trips/two different flights. So you’d be able to find your luggage at the baggage claim at your first stop because you won’t be returning to the airport until a few days later! :)
@@mayaleex3 Thankyou :)
I'm a little confused about the Pinning Maps tip - like pin in Google Maps? I can save locations in Google Maps but I can't edit the colors of the pins
Not Google Maps! It’s called “My Maps” by Google!
@@mayaleex3 Got it! Thank you so much, I'm definitely going to use this :)
Thank you so much for asking this! I went crazy for like 5+ minutes trying to figure out how to make this work on Google Maps! Grateful she answered too!
Air Canada would have Canadian dollar prices, about the same then.
$214 in USD on united is about the same as the $260 CAD on the air Canada website….
Please more vlogssss???
Next Sunday for sure :)
But the Air Canada prices in are probably in Canadian dollars and the United flights in US dollars. If so, maybe not a deal.
It was in USD for me but definitely double check :)!
Wait now I’m curious how tall you are Maya! 😂
I’m 5’7”! :)
2:26, Really? No way, wow. booking 1 year, before the flight is a long time.
During a bout of turbulence, the plane dropped about 10 feet. My hands broke out in a sweat from the fear and I grab my newly married husband. It was awful.
I still love my LV reverse monogram *preluxscom* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.
