Ciao friends!! Today’s video is all about the Ancient Greek city of Crotone aka Kroton! So much history, great food and awesome beaches. Sunny came with us and was being a super cranky baby but he did great despite the 35 degree Celsius weather. Come with us as we walk around the old town, eat some delicious food and swim in the warm waters!

Virtually living in a Museum of History and Culture . just fascinating . all the charm and character of Old Mexico , even more so . Cactus , bouganvilla , la`architectura , tutto . a town for Artists and Romantics . I love it .
It’s so true. All of italy is basically an outdoor museum it’s crazy. Calabria especially has so much incredible history just littered around and it’s mind blowing to live here.

It's a cute town. Very cheap. And very safe: at midnight you can meet many mothers who carry their children in strollers on the seafront

I lived in Crotone in the seventies my friend and I had a fabulous year and met some amazing people it was a great time for an 18 year old thanks for this video I loved it so much .

What a beautiful place....love the old houses. I'm amazed people know Angelo ?....hahahaha.....im with sonny, sweet potato fries not my thing.
Angelo is a superstar and it just goes to show that networking and making friend can be very powerful. I always say he should get into politics because he would win anything he ran for. It’s annoying at times as the wife but I’m glad my sunny boy sees this in his dad. Sunny is the exact same way too. Talks to all the pretty girls and is very social

Crotone the ancient city that dates back to 750BC with the powerful greeks. The east coast of calabria is very hot n sunny in the summer
Crotone would have a lot of potential, if it were just a little cleaner. The new tourist area is located in the southernmost area, going towards "Capo Colonna" (very important archaeological area) where real tourist villages are rising and where a smallwater park has also been built. I think that area deserves a video made by you. Well done. Thank you as always.

But have you noticed that the beach and the sea are attached to the waterfront😄? Often in many other Italian cities you have to travel kilometers to reach the shore from the seafront, here only a few steps and in the city center itself. And then the historic center is a small concentration of art, with a mighty castle that watches over it. Happy holiday!!🙃
So true!! The beach is right there!! We love crotone so much and I can’t wait to back without my cranky 4 year old to really take it in!

i think he said many athletes from Crotone were winning the olympics, out of 10 first places, 7 were athletes were from Crotone (more than from Athens)

I am in Tropea right now until Dec 26th then driving up the east coast to Puglia. Where would you stop and stay on my way? You guys live in Catanazaro? RIGHT? OK between Tropea and Crotone is that where you would stay first night? Then after that????? Does he speak english? I would love a tour? But do not speak italian. Looks llike a great place to start a business or buy property be part of the comunity ...huh...It's ec 27th I will be there....or Dec 27 for a few days????? Thanx for the heads up. SParce hotels this time of year. That is why I am sitting in my hotel in Tropea today trying to see how to Navigate this East side of Calabria and drive it to Puglia...Not much English spoken is there? Just like over here...

Fyi Greeks didnt build castles
The Greek's tended to build their cities around highground which served as an Acropolis These sites were continually built upon with many becoming castles too such as Acrocorinth
