For a few brief moments on April 8, 2024, the moon blocked the face of the sun and a small part of the Earth went dark.

I had totality over my home luckily and it was breathtaking. I cried watching my daughter's wholesome reaction. ❤
It was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen with my own eye.
I’m still waiting for the peoples reaction who said judgment day was coming😂
I dont need to watch an eclipse. I drive an eclipse. 😎
💀🗣️
I don’t need to watch the eclipse. I chew Eclipse gum.
Remember, when you wear a seat belt, make sure eclipse (it clips).
Looking at the eclipse is speechless Amazing jaw-dropping Spectacular beautiful to stare at. Happy Eclipse occasion celebration!! Day!!! yesterday (April 9, 2024) 🌑🌑💯💯💯👍👍🤯🤯🤯👏👏👏
Cnet please bring back Car Auto Tech reviews..... it just hasn't been the same.
I missed everything because it got cloudy where i live 😭
Stupid weather ruined it for me 🤬
Same :/ At least it got dark
Didn't even get dim
@@creole75 Aw that's rough
Hopefully you can see the next one in 2044. If you have the money to save for a vacation to catch the one in 2026 that’s a cool add on and justification for a trip!
2044 ? Well, good luck staying alive! We will probably be working on mars constructing buildings 👷♂️ for the corporations sitting on earth 🌎
Regular day in south La.
Got 75% Partial and clear day. It cooled down along with getting dimmer. Very cool
Totality was amazing. The moon started shimmering like a diamond
@@HughJass-jv2lt I bet. I will for sure be going to a totality zone next time it happens
Amazing
Solar Máximum Chase ❤❤😊
Beautiful 😍
Those who have experience the eclipse, I understand and those who have NOT been experienced, it's alright because there is a LIVE television broadcast.
Not the same. 😂😂 Its okay if you don't understand.... You weren't there ❤❤
I think we know it happened on April 8th 2024.
Why couldmt we see the moon before it come in front of the sun?
TLDR: a solar eclipse
No offense to my loving wife and amazing daughters. But it was the most beautiful thing I’ve had the honor of seeing.
You guys so lucky I only saw this on Heroes the drama series. Nothing to see at Asian. :(
during fatality 2024 new word for you nerds totality lol
Central America IS in North America … no “and.”
The Sun is 400 Times Larger than the Moon?....😮❤
Yes.
The sun is only 400 times bigger than the moon?
Yes
You need to understand the difference between *VOLUME* and *DIAMETER.* In terms of VOLUME: 1,000 Earths... can fit inside of Jupiter. 1,000 Jupiters... can fit inside of our Sun. Comparatively, 64 million Moons can fit inside of our Sun. But in terms of *DIAMETER:* The Sun is 400 times _WIDER_ than our Moon. Hope that helps! ☀️☀️
I missed it lol omg
“Millions of people across north en Central America” humanity is really stupid some times, I don’t know how she got that job or how she keeps it, how someone on that position doesn’t know Mexico is part of North America and not Central America
I only saw a few sunspots. It was an incredible experience.
Mexico is not in central America... 🙄
Why not?❤❤
I saw the coronas 🍻
The Sun is not 400X the size of the Moon. It is millions of times larger. However, it would take about 400 Moons side by side near the Sun's surface to block it's light from reaching the Earth. The Moon is also about 400X closer to the Earth than the Sun.
😂😂 What color is the sky in your universe? Back here in reality... Facts are Facts. ❤❤
I figured out your disconnect. It comes down to the difference between *VOLUME* and *DIAMETER.* In terms of VOLUME: 1,000 Earths... can fit inside of Jupiter. 1,000 Jupiters... can fit inside of our Sun. Comparatively, *64 million Moons* can fit inside of our Sun. _(this was you remember) But in terms of *DIAMETER:* The Sun is 400 times _WIDER_ than our Moon. Bringing it all together: When we look at the Sun & Moon in the Sky... We do NOT see a "SPHERE"... We only see two-dimensional Circles. So a comparsion in terms of _RADIUS_ is appropriate. ☀️☀️
400 times bigger than the moon?? The sun is over 1000 times bigger than Jupiter.
