  • Well the recent events with SVB make it unlikely for the market to make significant gains soon, so it's wise to manage expectations and prepare for a potentially long recovery period. It's recommended to avoid making significant investment decisions until the economic environment stabilizes in areas of concern. It's best to exercise caution and avoid engaging with the current turbulence.

    • Bad start to the year with these banks collapsing, META down 40k, ALLP down 35k, Draft Kings down 6k, NIO down 15K, ABML down 8k, and my wife doesn’t know. I'm just hanging on to Jim Cramer's words about opportunities in volatile times so perhaps, I either wait for a recovery or pick profitable investments to substitute for my loss.

    • I have stayed away from all of the issues that the erratic market presents. Today, reading, research, patience, and seeking guidance when necessary are the greatest ways to break into the market. I merely copy Dawn Maureen Humphrey , a CFA, whose actions I witnessed on Bloomberg Business News because I am unable to handle my portfolio owing to the nature of my profession. Ever since, everything has been easy.I recommend researching her credentials further.

  • 6:00 Warren rented a house 6:54 I LOVE the answer Warren gave and he made me ROFL! :) 10:00 Start of segment 2 11:23 Telling (a then 30 years old recently wealthy) Bob Woodward, “Investing is just about assigning yourself the right story.” 22:21 Start of segment 3 23:27 The Buffett Tax 25:13 What Buffett wants to be his legacy? 25:38 Money has no utility to me. Time has utility to me. (New Quote I LOVE) 27:40 The END of the interview. P.S. I've read, enjoyed & "reviewed" The Snowball (Alice's insightful biography about Warren) when it first came out and I quite enjoy watching this interview by David even though some of the info are obviously covered in Snowball. Thanks Bloomberg for sharing this post. P.P.S. Warren is still so sharp at 86 and still remember all those numbers from years ago!

I drink coke all day and eat McDonald's every day. i don't have a computer on my office etc fact is he is pretty ruthless and has destroyed quite a few humans through firings and sackings. • Buffett is brilliant at encapsulating ideas...re: On deciding to leave NY...."I was living in White Plains at the time, taking the train into NYC, and with a wife and two small children, it didn't strike me that that made a lot of sense." On the other hand, he could do the same thing better in Omaha, with no train ride 90+ minutes a day, plus grandparents living nearby.... It's funny...I have the distinct impression that although Warren has explained things to him, Mr Rubenstein still doesn't understand...which makes sense given Rubenstein's company is into buying and selling businesses as a means of making money....I love Warren's way of looking at the world, and respecting the trust of the owners of the businesses he buys....one of a kind for sure....what a life!
