In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.
Greg asking if Dave cheated is peak school teacher energy.
How did he cheat? What did they say he did? I didn't quite understand that.
@gregoryhines7 He lost his pea, then got Alex to give him another one which he pretended to eat but really he stuck it into his tennis racket and pretended it was the ordinal pea. Replacement peas were not permitted.
wasn't Greg a school teacher before becoming a full time comedian?
@Matti2ooo8 Yes and you can really see it coming through here.
@@Matti2ooo8indeed! Drama teacher i think. 😂
"Bastards crying, innit" lives in my best dreams
"I'm starting to think we shouldn't be laughing at Paul" is one of the best insults I've heard in a while. Literally cried laughing.

The raisins gag at the start always goes overlooked - such a dark touch to offer the eyes and buttons of Sarah's melted snowman to Greg as a snack.
Literally some of the best foreshadowing is the one you forget about until the payoff. After learning some of the Taskmaster lore, Alex the character turns into Alex the mastermind. He really is one of a kind.
I literally GASPED out loud when he pulled out the raisins the 2nd time and I got the joke...HORRIFYING 😂

I once worked in forensics and came across what I thought to be a mass grave of snowmen. Turned out just to be a field of carrots. -Milton Jones
I laughed so hard I had to actually calm myself down. That was so incredible.
Why is noone mentioning how amazing it was sara threw the pea and it landed on the carpet every time??!!!
Fred is criminally underused….
fr, she would be the final boss in beerpong
If we were in the service I would give her all my hand grenades 🤣
and those rolls, she's a beast
"snow bear innit" "...Its a rabbit!" Paul was such an underrated guest on this show
When I saw the step challenge I thought “yes! The first time in my life being in a wheelchair would be a massive advantage!” And then they reached the fence.
😔
I am sure you could have moved around it, there was a way near the grass afterall. So most likely an opening. And yes wheelchairs can be quite nice to have. For example when you are at a con. And since most cities get more wheelchair frendy by the year, it will be better in the future.
@@berndarndt9924 There's currently a project here in Iceland, largely led by one man, to build at least 1500 ramps and do other things to improve wheelchair access all over the country. He just got tired of having to wait outside shops for his wife and kid, and now we have accessible self-serve gas stations and all sorts of things that should have been there years ago. And he made Elon Musk look like the twat he is. Amazing how one guy in a wheelchair can kick so much ass.
Pascoe yeeting that pea onto the carpet with the professionalism of an Olympic shotputter took me by as much shock as when Noel demonstrated football skills and one-footed jumping like an injured yet still graceful gazelle. I just did not expect either of them to be sports people.
"Bastard's crying, innit" Is one of funniest lines in the show
The differences: Not censored, no throws to ad breaks, and the audio during the snowman task was cut due to copyright issues in the original upload.
Thank you for taking the time to point out the differences. I was over here asking myself why they're uploading episodes they already had
Oh wow, I didn't even notice the lack of ad breaks, and I'm rewatching the episode after having watched the original version. In a way, that's something of a shame; I seem to recall some of the transitions to ad breaks being pretty funny, not to mention the little intro/outro for each break being unique and kinda interesting.
@@KelpTheGreatThey included the transitions just not the actual ads
@@KelpTheGreat I miss the ad break clips!
It makes me so happy that taskmaster listens to the fans. We said we wanted more full episodes and BAM. As a US viewer though I appreciate the full episodes a lot because KZhead is the only way I can watch the show in the USA.
FYI they’ve been slowly uploading the newer seasons too. It doesn’t show on the feed because they’re not new uploads, they just become available!
This was already a episode you could watch. They just uploaded it again.
Why don't people just learn to use a VPN and watch Channel 4?

I was thinking the same thing
And hair growth!

I felt like they should have Fred do a cameo every series.
The pea task was a real social study into how the mind works in individuals. Had everything!!! haha
Taskmaster often is. It's part of what makes it so fun.
I've finally started to listen to the Taskmaster Podcast (TMP!) and it's given me a whole new appreciation for Paul Chowdhry. I had never heard of him before, and I honestly couldn't tell if he was doing a bit during the series or if he was actually as confused as he seemed, and as Sara later put it, "I don't think we should be laughing at Paul anymore." Now, after listening to him on the TMP, I know it's a bit, and it's hilarious how committed he is in sticking to it.
Good to know he’s just playing a character, I was genuinely concerned that he’s not very bright lol
U saved the episode

Awesome comedians these dudes and ladies
They're comedians on a comedy show, they're all doing bits
So surreal watching this knowing that Sara's boyfriend is a) now an ex b)winning his current series of Taskmaster in c)a Freddie Mercury jacket!
I love how Dave Gorman always forgets this show is filmed.
Use to watch these on TV with my dad when he was alive. Just started to watch the seasons I have missed since him dying. I didn't think I would be able to watch any past seasons again but it's been good
Good to hear. Take care and I hope you enjoy the remaining seasons!
I'm sorry for your loss. It's nice that you have this sort of connection to your dad still.
Condolences, hopefully TM will be a healthy way to keep the memory of him alive
Hey man hope you’re doing alright
I wonder if they would have counted it if someone re-contextualized the word "step" and went like "How to get your soup out of the microwave - Step 1: Walk over to the microwave. Step 2: Open the microwave", making that two steps
At this point, they definitely wouldn't, as the task is "Get to the Microwave in as few steps as possible and open the door before the microwave dings" At that point in time Greg _might_ have given out points for the sheer audacity of calling that "completing the task" but it would take a huge effort to talk themselves into more than two points, I'd say.
@@anotherone5235 well it'll depend on your persuasion skills with the least physical effort. Although if their target is "a show" instead of "a competition", imo it'll be more efficient to just roll, crawl, etc.
@@sixjhontongalamar979 Definitely. If someone was crawling then there'd be a serious discussion what "a step" is (i.e. do you need to set your foot down flatly to take a step or is it a step to rest (a part or most of) your weight on part of your legs (i.e. knees), but I was just thinking if there was a way to contextualize the actual task with Pandsu's proposed solution of writing a "How To" - which is what my initial reply was about :)
@@anotherone5235 I mean they never specifically said FOOTsteps so I thought maybe if someone provided their own definition of a "step" they would count that
@@Pandsu I get that. And I'd say you're on to something, if the wording was something like "Get to the Microwave and open the door in as few steps as possible" And during filming of Season 3 I feel there was a laxer approach to everything, so it _might_ have worked, but I can also see it could have gone down in flames immediately. And it would be fun either way. :D If they were doing this task in a current season and somebody did it, they'd definitely be DQ'ed because the "as few steps as possible" is very hard do spin to also include "and open the door" in this specific wording :) (See also the Yoga Mat task in Season 2)
I want to watch a conversation between Paul Chowdhry and Bridget Christie where they discuss the definition of a step.
I’d love to watch any conversation between Paul Chowdhry and Bridget Christie, and add Katherine Parkinson. On any subject.
@@sfshinz Yes, Katherine should definitely take part, as the innovator behind tiny dance stepping.
This comment is underrated. Bridgett walking weird is still the most hilarious thing to me out if the entire 17 season released.
I've noticed that Friedrich and the other Swedes aren't credited at the end of the episode (at least up through this point). Either way, always nice to see Friedrich, I hope he's doing well.
Since he's a Swede, I'm fairly certain his name is Fredrik, not Friedrich. 😉 (The latter, by the way, does not end in a "K" sound.)
As a non-brit with no access to British tv, I'm looking forward to seeing the upload of season 11.
It was there for me when they were releasing it live but it's since removed sadly. So I second this statement
Gonna have to wait for their weird streaming service to inevitably crash and burn.
Is season 11 channel 4 onwards? Don’t think they’ll put their eps on here
I think season 11 is exclusive to channel 4s streaming service (which is utter shit, theres more ads then show on there), so you might have to wait quite awhile until theyll be uploads on youtube unfortunately. Hopefully channel 4s service dies soon so they can claim the rights back to upload it on here but thats pretty unlikely as of now.
@@gonk9204 It's up in Canada, so it might be your region getting robbed of watching series 11 on youtube
19:29 LMAO Sara going "Poor little Paul!" and him giving her a death glare 😂
I'm amazed by Sara's aim. I would have immediately lost it.
Sarah's amazing pea throwing skills.
The boyfriend Sara mentions when presenting her flamboyant clock isJohn Robbins who is in series 17 wearing a Freddy Mercury yellow jacket!
No way!!! (in Chris Ramsey's voice) Were they just together at the time or are they still an item?
Not together now just at the time
Scoopy's demise had me laughing so hard I had to cover my mouth, for fear of scaring the neighbors.
I've been binge watching these full episodes for a while, working my back through the seasons. Paul creating the snowman might be one of the most unhinged things I've ever witnessed
I keep imagining how great Sean Lock would have been as a Taskmaster contestant. Miss him.
Always nice to see Friedrich
I choked on my food on "Bastard's crying, innit?"

So nice to know who's going to be this series laughingstock right away. Last in the first task. Disqualified from the second task lol
When you can get Alex to laugh hysterically, you know you've done something right. Maybe "right" is not the appropriate word.
Well that's a job prospect I didn't expect: being a Swede in Taskmaster.
Favourite highlights 2:07 flamboyant clock - stove 2:40 microwave oven - clock 6:26 didn't know these trees are generated 8:13 alex can't hold back his laughter 16:53 *These are intelligent people here* 35:36 crying innit
When I was in the US Army as a private, I had a Sergeant who would punish us by making us roll across the green endlessly in front of the barracks. It actually is incredibly nauseating and exhausting. I vomited a couple of times and I wasnt the only one. Gets your clothes ruined with stains too.
That sounds absolutely miserable and pointless.
I love how clear it is through the series that Paul's character is everything Greg finds hilarious
Man, Al had to win, guy was going to lose his stove.
It was a clock
a flamboyant clock at that
A very expensive stove (looks like AGA).
Oh was that current contestant (series 17) john robins’s Queen clock that sarah brought?
Yep!
"Well, if Davies' got a problem with it, I'll knock him out."
That laugh at 35:40
Sara's snowman was the cutest thing ever
I love it when the prize task devolves into a tax scheme 🤣🤣🤣 Is Jimmy Carr a producer on this thing 🤣
lmfao
Sara brings in the Queen clock she stole from somebody who would later wear a Freddy Mercury jacket for all of his tasks. She wasn’t wrong in calling John a fan here, I guess.
I want to see some Taskmaster bailiffs ripping Al Murray’s oven out of his kitchen and giving it to Sarah!
Taskmaster bailiffs, I love that! 😂
How is this episode not called 'Bastards cryin'? 🤣
I NEED a compilation of all the times Greg went into "teacher mode"
So much humor is in the bits going to and from the ad breaks - why are we being denied those sparks of joy 😫
Sometimes Paul has like a twinkle in his eye while keeping a straight face when he knows his joke landed 😂
Just realised that must have been John robins’s clock (from series 17)
"Regular Fred and the London Swedes" _needs_ to be a band
Paul is so serious. He got hung up on the cold aspect of the snowman. He also seems to mishear quite a bit, like thinking stepping on the track was a problem not about number of steps. Later on he tried to surprise Alex by dressing up as a clown in a box when that was how the task was presented to him. He either lacks imagination or thinks to hard. He must've been trolling.
Every time Al Murray says the clock is "just to the left of the knob on the right." My brain follows with "and to the right of the knob on the left is Dave Gorman"😁
8:13 has got to be one of my most favorite physical moments in taskmaster 😭😭😭
The tortoise was obviously supposed to win the first round
From steps to snowmen to Swedes, this episode has been such a thrilling journey through language and meaning.
Paul and Bridget need to go to a class about stepping lol 😂
Oh... I genuinely thought Paul's blue "bear" with the Greg statue was a callback to Greg's sexual awakening with Blue Ted! 😂
Oh that’s brilliant
i love this show bc i pick up on new things every time. “are we on broadchurch?” during the pea investigation… good stuff
I loved this season with Dave and his cheating 😂
its so nice seeing the Swede from the last series back for the final task in this episode
"Don't disrespect me or I'll make you come last." Don't threaten Rob with a good time Greg.
"snowbear innit" killed me
The monstrous snowman was disturbingly cute!!! LOLLLL 31:04
The snowman don’t wanna come out of the freezer be like “I was born here, let me die here” 😂
"Bastard's crying, innit."
The London Swedes... I love their second album
Sarah complaining about the „pooey“ track. And then Alex telling her the soup was „pea“ soup was that another pun that didn’t get noticed? Why are they using the track with all the hurdles in the first task? It doesn’t say they needed to.. 🤔 they could have just go straight over the green?
My God Paul is literally a fucking Gem!!
Paul's approach to tasks is as brilliant as Noel Fielding's with none of the results
When that man with the teeth jumps 😂
I'm endlessly impressed by the team who deals with the props. The stuff they are able to just produce out of thin air is mind blowing.
I can't believe five comedians brought four black and white things and a plain brass thing for 'flamboyant thing' contest
thank you for allowing canada to view full episodes again.. or at least ontairo
I'm guessing the people who think Paul's being serious are also the people who think Mike Wozniak's picture got accidentally smashed
Tbh on my first watch I thought he was serious for a bit and then realised he must have been doing a bit. Coming back to it , It’s obvious, but idk he does really commit so I can see people genuinely believing Paul is serious
Guess i just don't get this kind of humor. Romesh seemed serious too, but then did shit like tree wizard and broke character sometimes. Paul just feels like he's getting bullied left and right
@@mangodude-nq6suI’ve heard that in British humor being the one put-upon is the preferred angle. Idk how true that is though
I just wanted you to know... Every year when Hollywood goes on strike and there is nothing to watch, I always come here to watch the comedians- who will literally do ANYTHING for low pay. 😂 So make sure you thank a comedian near you. They are the REAL entertainers!
Greg's face when Rob threatens to K.O. him 😂
The episode that convinced Noel to wear a halloween costume all of season 4
14:51 “Rob the Retching Roller”
Okay but tortoise shoulda got second? We all agree? More flamboyant than a microwave or an oven?
I wish they’d clarified that Al brought in a picture of his oven. If he brought the real oven that would be first place in my book, but a picture is worth less that the pocket watch for me.
Does anyone else miss this era of taskmaster when Greg was still gleefully wondrous of all the ridiculous things that the participants did? He's a little jaded now.
I can't believe no one thought to cover Alex in whip cream and stick a carrot on his nose
For the snowman task, or just in general?
@@matthewbarratt4935 well, yeah. No kinkshaming!

I would have had Alex carry me to the microwave, and I would have cut off part of the red carpet, wrapped the pea in it, put it back in the box, and then I would have just walked around with it.
I wish all the series were available. Thanks for the repost. I loved the race to the microwave 🥰
They did Paul bad with that clock. He was clearly refering to Flava Flave with that clock and they're all so uncultivated they don't get it
Uncultivated?
4:35 I wonder if this season old Johnny JR will bring in something that "belonged to my ex girlfriend and she doesn't know I kept it".
Fred! Our favourite swedish man!
Looking back at these episodes, it's surprising to see how bare the house was. Looks a lot busier and cluttered now
For the last task on the stage, could the Swedes hold the whole contained bag in their hands and that would be counted as fair? Instead of taking them out one by one?
Or even empty the bag and have them hold the bag horizontally, and then put all of the items back on the top of the bag in their hands? Just thinking….
In series 4 there was a task where contestants had to clingfilm items and then hold them all with one hand, so probably. Especially because Noel just gave all his items to Greg and then held him
