totally recommand Val Gardena, the network of ski runs is huge I'd still add the Jungfrau ski area in Switzerland (Grindelwald - Wengen - Schildhorn)
Does this person just Google names of resorts rather than build a list on any sort of qualitative criteria?
The inclusion of Courmayeur in the video of top 15 indicates this person has not skied much in Europe. It did managed to include the most expensive resorts in France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Germany.
@@gunsumwong3948 No German resort can be considered a great resort in Europe
@@sandersson2813 Have you skied Garmisch-Partenkirchen? Which parts you dislike it?
@@gunsumwong3948 It's alright, ai just don't think it ranks in a top 15. It's pretty average in every way, size, terrain, lifts.
Yes
Ski centar is Three valleys in France, Kromplatz in Italy ,Sella ronda Italy. Sella ronda include Val Gardena , Sestriere , La villa and so on. But your list is done by nice towns and villages. I passed almost all of them and I can say Kromplatz is really No1 😊.
Nice vid!
i would swap out some resorts here and put other ones in place. HIntertux,Wengen, ischgl,sölden all unmentioned im sure even i missed some
what about les Arcs
Shame the commentator can't pronounce some of those names correctly. I'd also question some of those resorts as being amongst the best in Europe.
The video material during presentation of Verbier does not show Verbier.
Pronunciations of names are criminal... Out of 15 maybe 2 or 3 resembled to originals... 😕
😂😂😂
As expected I have been to everyone of them although I needed to check Zugspitze is actually Gramisch Partenkirchen in Germany. However I lose respect for this video when it include Italian Courmayeur in the top 15. It is a tiny resort of just 42km piste! It neighbour La Thuile is a much better bet not only it has with 150km piste but is linked with the French La Rosiere resort. It is one of the rare opportunity to ski two countries in one resort. The top choice of Zermatt is linked with the Italian Cervinia too. In fact Zermatt is the most expensive European resort but can be skied easily by staying in the Italian side which is a lot more affordable because it can be reached by car to the bottom of the chairlifts.. The video mention Meribel and Courcheval which is linked side by side together with Val Thorens known as the mighty 3 Vallee with over 600km piste and 200 chairlifts. Val D sere is at the end of the same Tarentaise Valley which houses the world's biggest skiing paradise starting with Vamorel, then at Moutier one can go to the 3V, further up at the middle there is a town called Boug St Maurice one can access the Paradiski formed by the 425km piste of Les Arc linked with La Plagne . Boug st Maurice is also the access point to a small resort called St Foy and also the La Roisere that links with Italian La Thulie I mentioned earlier. The end of the Valley is called Domain Espace Killy formed by Val D sere with Tignes that has over 300km piste. I am please the video mentioned Val Gardena and Contina D Ampezzo but disappointed that the video did not mention these are the 2 out of the 4 corners of the might Sella Ronda the world's biggest skiing loop of 40km which can be skied clockwise or anticlockwise. Any serious skier could not possibly ignore and not try this famous loop in the Italian Dolomites that has a total of 12 resorts making up a total of 1200km piste. Dolomites is so large that it could take weeks to try all the 12 resorts but area around Sella Ronda is definitely the best the Italy could offer. In conclusion the video did present the best or the most expensive resorts in French (Courchevel), Italy (Cortina D Ampezzo), German (Zugspitze), Swiss (Zermatt) and Austria (St Anton/Lech). Courmayeur is just the odd one out.
Contina D Ampezzo is not part of Sella Ronda. But of course it is part of the Dolomiti Superski pass.
You should do your own ski channel. I’d love to know the best place for learners with cruises blues for my friends. With some apre ski and a bit of charm. If a resort exists let me know.
there is also no way zugspitze makes it to the top 15, been there is sort of my home mountain so I feel qualified to roast it :D, even if you include Garmisch-classic you only get around 60 kilometres of which around 10 are rarely open because of the bad weather conditions and snow safety. Zugspitze does not have a single black run and Garmisch-Classic only has two black runs, one of which is almost never open, however one of the is the Kandahar run which is quite nice for expert skiers. Garmisch and Zugspitze also have some logistic problems: In Garmisch-Classic you always have to wait because of the long queues at the important lifts. And for Zugspitze you will have to take a special train which is also slow as hell, but quite fun to ride with some stunning views. However, I still want to say that Zugspitze and Garmisch-Classic are some amazing resorts but some Austrian resorts not mentioned like Sportgastein&Bad Gastein (POWDER), Mayrhofen some glaciers like stubai or Wilder Kaiser would have been better choices at least for me
Serfaus - Fiss - Ladis
Val D’Isere = Val Diz Air……… not val dizarie 😂
Courmayour? I’ve been skiing and teaching in Europe and the resorts listed above for the last 15 years and I’ve never even heard of it. Apart from that, I’ve spent time in every resort on the list, and thus would like to change some of the orders around. First of all, put some respect on Austrian ski resorts. Verbier should be top 5, as it’s skiing is amazing both on and offpiste (albeit lacking in parks). Meribel should also be higher, as the 3 valleys has an excellent range of difficulty.
Hello. Im looking to book my first big ski trip(mainly looking for the alps region) im an intermediate to mostly experienced skier that is looking for steep slopes and big runs and secondly some good view is always nice. Could you suggest any resorts/paths for what in your opinion could be the best and most affordable places that meet the above mentioned criteria?
tell me you have never been to any of them, without saying you have never been.
This guy just likes all the comments. Even if we tell him his list is shit.
its a AI generated script and list. i bet it is !1 more and more obvious on yout tube these days. its just ok but its not real world. Vernier at the bottom with M eribel. joke. only an AI wouldnt know whats really better than others
Great list but you need to work a little on your pronounciations - just type them into google translate! For Val disere the last e isnt prnounced hahah For Lech, you should include St Anton in the same breath
Thanks. It was a tough video to pronounce. Thanks for the heads up.
@@globaltravelchannel np. google translate will make it much easier for the next one :)
@@globaltravelchannelyou used a computer generated voice. be real ! and it was absolutely terrible
I'm watching this whal I'm in val thoren France Les 3 valleys
Val Badia >
Zermatt village is cute, has some stunning views, connect you to Cervinia but trust me, there is a handful of resorts way better…you can’t compare the slopes grooming, lifts and quality of some Austrian resorts.
what0s the best Austrian resorts then?
@@aldoron2102 Sankt Anton am Arlberg, or, The Arlberg.
In this day and age my primary concern would be snow availability. I've checked which resorts are open right now (August) and there are only three: Zermatt, Saas-Fee and Hintertux. So I'd probably be choosing from these 3. Grooming quality matters little if the damn mountain is bare.
Best is Engelberg Switzerland
Zell am see
Szklarska Poręba ⛷️🇵🇱🤣🤣🤣
Ahahahaha Just looked at the map, only 13 runs with a max altitude of 1362m 😅😂
- one actual picture per resort - rest is just stock footage - read text from Wikipedia = video delivered This was cringe.
computer generated AI text input and computer generated voice with bad pronunciation and stock footage not even of the resorts. All just to make videos for Ad revenue. its the new way now. using AI. ppl with No experience relying on AI generated story telling and images. this ranking is ridiculous. Verbier should be one or 2.
Strange Ranking. For example, kitzbuehel #2 may seem a bit overrated. Anyway, suggest to work a bit on the pronounciation, like Val d'Isere.
Zermatt
this is a list of the most expensive resorts, but not the best. And Garmisch should not be anywhere near this list. If you’re purely into skiing and don’t care about all the après-ski stuff then there’s a ton of amazing resorts in Europe.
Agree with Garmisch/Zugspitze as he called it, I think this guy has never even stepped into German mountains or he would know how terrible they are compared to competitors. (Skied a lot in Garmisch so I should know)
Hintertux should have been mentioned, as the only remaining all year round skiing resort in the world.
Zermatt is also all year skiing
@@matteocerbai Zermatt gets closed often, in fact it's closed right now. Hintertux uptime is much better.
@@DestroyerOfLiberasts it is closed for a month every year maximum
not true.
How did he manage to mispronounce all of the names in the video?
Gee those pronouciations were wild
5:14 zugspitze aint in france
Where the f**** is Sölden and Ischgl?
:)
Not inclunding Serfaus Austria, or even putting Chamonix or Zermatt (why the fuck) before any austrian resort is like, what the fuck ? Have you ever skied in Europe ? Do you know what SKIROUTE means ?
Mont "Blonk" really ? Get it together.
Those are the most famous but not the best resorts.
I agree that the pronunciation of resort names in this video is dreadful It is as if the voiceover guy is doing it for a laugh. Val ‘d iser was particularly amusing
Val d’Isère… you’re not even trying to pronounce that right. It seems you are making stuff up. How many more comments will tell you… wait, one way to increase traffic is to increase comments. I get it.
If you say val dee setty on more time I’m gonna off myself
oh, those name pronunciations. lol.
The Ischgl-Samnaun area is for me the best ever in Europe, and you don't even mention it. Shame on you!
I know, I know. We are going to do a part 2 and that definitely makes the list!!
I go along with this one as it at least is one resort in two countries. Ischgl is just as nice as St Anton/Lech but possibly slight less expensive. The two are just opposite to each other on S16 highway.
Don't agree with your resorts.
Why does KZhead search bring up the worst videos?
Han aner ikke hvad han taler om
В голяма грешка си брато
Pronounce much?
Horrible prononciation
it is a computer generated voice silly . . .
Short on detailed info and credibility. Didn't watch more than 60 secs.
Lazy video! Lazy editing! Lazy script!
Don't believe a word of this . He can't pronounce the ski resorts. My best ski resort. 1. Meribel 2. Verbier 3. Zermmat 4. Chamonix 5. Vengen 6. Kitsbul This is the best resort in order
Does the narrator even ski? Some odd choices and awful pronunciations 😊
content and list and script seems AI generated. its not a good list and not in right order either. and computer generated voice over is terrible. Meribel and Verbier near the bottom is a joke. Kitzbuhel is pretty, but hardly one of the top ski resorts.
what about les Arcs
