OVERGROWN Sidewalk Edge NEGLECTED For 50 YEARS Gets A FREE Makeover (Part 2)

Many of you that have watched part 1 might understand that when I say this was the hardest overgrown sidewalk edge I've ever done, IT TRULY WAS. At a combined total of 12 working hours, I was able to perform an amazing, overgrown sidewalk makeover for this random abandoned home for FREE. To me, it seemed like it has been neglected for over 50 years, but I'll let you be the judge of that.
I found this property after the cleanup I had performed for a listing agent. When seeing this, I knew someone was in need of some serious help. Even though the house seemed abandoned due to the condition (and nobody answered after I had knocked on the door), I knew the home still had some kind of owner behind it.
It seemed as if the neighbors want nothing to do with it. In fact, looking around the area, I spotted some homes with sidewalks that looked similar to this one, just not as CRAZY. If the neighbors aren't taking care of their own sidewalks, I thought, why would they do somebody else's? This drove me to perform the task of being a good Samaritan and showing others what actions need to be taken in order to preserve the value & integrity of the neighborhood.
If you have not watched part 1 yet, I highly recommend watching it first for the ULTIMATE MAKEOVER SATISFACTION: • OVERGROWN Sidewalk Edg...
By the way, the shin splints have almost healed completely. Thank you all who have shown support in the comments section. I am doing great! All of those who have prayed for my health, thank you.

  • You did it. That is a good standard for the neighborhood and you made it safe for pedestrians to use the sidewalks, crossing. Nice work. Some months back, It's His Turf and his brother's company, Fall River, teamed to start clearing and cleaning sidewalks and yards on a block. By the end of that, people were so resurrected they started their own yard work and it became finished in sped time. It can be done. Thank you for all you accomplished.

Its reductive and makes archaeology look like Laymen job, theres no grid theres no method a Archaeologist uses, in no way shape or form is this like or related to archaeology other then getting rid of dirt that is covering something. is this the study of human history or pre history? In fact, Copper Creek Lawn Care (Brad, the bald guy) has made multiple videos talking about how much money he makes from the KZhead videos (he's extremely honest and open about it), so he'll often take a job for "free" because he knows he's about to make a ton from the video (or videos if he splits them in 2 parts). A bit of common sense and a helping of hard graft, I too did jobs like this in the 1970s and took great pride in silently slagging off those total incompetants who abandoned this task in the first place. • Excellent job again. Both sidewalks look very nice now and safe for pedestrians to walk on. The neighborhood looks very nice now.

  • Supurb job on one messed up sidewalk. The police probablly received a call. They could not believe someone was finally taking care of the problem. Noe people and strollers can use the walk safely. 👍 👍

  • I have no doubt you were exhausted after doing all that. I'm surprised after that many years you could see any sidewalk. I would think the grass would have grown over it completely. Great job !!!!

  • The fact that after all that work you still went back and straightened the left side, damn solid work my dude. That was a TON of shovel work. Great job.

  • My dad was in a wheelchair the last few years of his life. It became really hard to get out but when he did it was the highlight of the week. There were a few sidewalks he couldn’t use that were also not maintained. I’m sure there may be people in a similar situation near this area. Even if someone spends just 30 seconds using this newly cleared walk, don’t underestimate how important that could be to them. Thanks and great work!

  • Great job! Well done. Shame that the concrete was busted under all that sod. Still a great finish to a tough one for sure!
