  • Ive seen kits like this with a little fab work, and a decent standalone/tune run FOR YEARS. A guy had an h2b turbo swapped honda odyssey that he used to beat on for about a decade. Kit just like this. Would probably still be running but someone crashed into him i believe while parked.

  • as someone who's used ebay turbo kits in the past, you definitely get what you pay for. if you're okay with cutting and rewelding, they'll work. most of the time they dont fit right off the bat. there are parts that straight up dont want to use, like cheap wastegates, fuel pumps, injectors etc.

  • Don’t want to sound like a hater but should have got someone who has experience building budget turbo kits to take this on. Theres so much in that kit that won’t be getting used or is scrap. Would have worked out cheaper putting a kit together yourself too. - Cast manifold - Chinese GT3076 (externally gated with 4 bolt downpipe flange) - 38mm External wastegate (chinese ones are hit and miss) - 600x300x76 intercooler - Genuine siemens deka 630 injectors - Make your own oil/coolant lines for the turbo - Make your own boost pipes and downpipe These are the basics, you don’t need 6 useless gauges, manual boost controller etc etc.

  • I was quoted 10k to put a turbo on my 3.2 TT, so I sold it and got a 2.0 tfsi then remapped it, for some strange reason the 2.0 tfsi is actually faster off the line than the 3.2! But I do miss the top end power of the 3.2, but I only found it to be a bit better on a motorway compared to the 2.0, both were dsg Quattro but the 2.0 is a lot better on fuel and feels quicker off the line, hopefully this comment helps someone pick the right car, learn from my mistake! Get the 2.0 tfsi dsg Quattro!

  • My prediction is the Injectors will probably be maxed out at 350 and that intercooler before that at probably 330bhp then it starts going to 50c + on the intake air temps

  • On a budget, get a 2.0 tfsi dsg Quattro and pull out the turbo and send it off to a company that upgrades it, then put it back in, upgrade the intake, decat it, then get a stage 2 remap! Your welcome! Have fun!

    • Few hundred to put new bearings in the turbo and few hundred for the straight though exhaust, 250 for a quantum remap, couple hundred for new intake and that’s it, but new breaks are defo recommended @@whoknows3076

  • That log manifold will warp and crack, well known problem with those SPA knock offs. Wish there was a work around for you, just keep in mind once you have it running.. not sure if under bonnet temps play a role..
