In the 2005 TV series "Supernatural," the 1967 Chevy Impala, affectionately known as "Baby," transcends its role as mere transportation to become an integral character in its own right. This classic American muscle car, with its sleek black exterior, chrome accents, and timeless design, exudes an aura of nostalgia and power. It's not just a vehicle; it's the trusted companion of the Winchester brothers, Sam and Dean. Baby serves as their refuge, their sanctuary, and their hunting ground, housing an arsenal of supernatural weaponry in its trunk. This '67 Impala symbolizes family, resilience, and the enduring spirit of two hunters on a never-ending quest to battle the forces of darkness. It's an icon of the series, a vessel of memories, and an embodiment of the brothers' unwavering bond in the face of the supernatural.

  • After growing up with TV car shows where the car is a star, this show really brought that vibe back even dedicating one episode to the car entirely. The show had that nostalgic feel all the way down to the soundtrack of classic.

  • My old lady was absolutely obsessed with this show lol, . Always liked their car, as basic as it is. . We actually have the matchbox size replica. I was just watching "Stephen King's, Sometimes They Come Back" . . And there's a killer old customized Chevy in it that you might want to do one on, it's the villain car. . I think it's a Bel-Air but I'm not sure, cuz the front end looks customized. . it blows flames out of the tailpipes, and it's driven by ghosts lol. . . Sick car tho!. . Edit. . So I looked it up it's actually a 55 Chevy one fifty

    • @@CarStarz42 i can help with that, i know alot about it, i studied the truck heavily throughout 2021 Its a 1962 Dodge W300 Powerwagon, specifically the single cab with the long-utiline stepside bed, it has a 426 Hemi behind a floor-shift 4 speed, it was restored from apparently a field wreck, and has snowplow mounts, due to the truck being purchased in missouri snow is frequent during winter, "alegedly" the engine made 1000 horses on a dyno test before it was purchased by the production company, it had enough power to rock the 3 ton monster violently, and it was indeed supercharged, with a perfectly made hood scoop to cope, apparently during filming the truck kept up with the impala with ease, the truck apparently as im told changed hands a few times up west, and hasnt been seen since 2008 there was a double that was made, it was a prop that had no engine & drivetrain, and it was the one that was pulled from the swamp, they originally used a small john deere to pull the wreck, but that failed due to the rain so they used a kubota front end loader with wider tires, this was a actual wreck that they dressed up to look identical, it was apparently left at a scrapyard after filming

  • I have a soft spot for 1967 full size cars. The blue 67 Impala clip showing a presumably restored car backing up at a car show was identical to one I got some driving lessons in. My granddad, who had a aversion to driving anything newer than ten years old bought a 67 Impala in 1977. It had 100k of rural miles on the clock - 250 six, 3 speed manual, manual steering and brakes, no AC. He drove that car in a mostly rural environment for another 80-100k. Had to replace the motor once and acquired a 67 Bel Aire (283 Powerglide with AC) as a spare car and a 67 Caprice (I think - or was a really loaded Impala) for parts (though I don’t think he ever cannibalized it). He preferred the six cylinders and found them readily available when someone was dropping a V-8 in their Chevelle or Nova. Anyway, the Caprice had a 327 but was missing the 4 barrel carb. The Impala’s frame finally rusted out just behind the front suspension and had to be junked. Last time I saw any of those cars was 1989 at his estate auction. In retrospect, I would enjoy having the 327 car today. Being a Midwest car, it probably also had its rust issues, however. The world was a better place when big boats like that cruised the roads and the car didn’t have to have SS badges to bring back warm memories.

That was really not needed and came across as cheesy. Still my favorite auto in a series and actually my first driving lesson was with my families 67 Madera Maroon 2 dr. fastback.
