  • Sad to hear that veteran journalist, writer and filmmaker John Pilger has passed away, aged 84. Throughout his unique career he was a ferocious speaker of the truth, and tirelessly advocated against uright and abuse of power. Our world is poorer for his passing. May he Rest in Power!

But then it could be that Assange did hold back some information that the russians handed him and that the charges raised against him were punishment for not publishing all that the russians instructed him to put out there, i.e., the authorities got the rest of the photographs or whatever evidence they were holding against him. Not sure what they had over the guy that originally obtained the info but it would probably have been better to have notified his superiors unless he was worked over in a different way, in which case he might not even have realised he was being manipulated.

The purpose of propaganda is to fool people into believing a lie, so we fight among each other, making the fragmented groups easier to control. To say only Russia and the US do it is false... China does it. Taiwan does it. India does it. Pakistan does it. The biggest difference is how sophisticated the propaganda is. Even this video is propaganda, but do you see it?

    • Assange is a hero of our time! He is boastful, he is a publicity seeker and when confronted with claims he sexually assaulted women he went on the run. All those hand-wringers who are still suffering PTSD because Trump won the 2016 election seem to have forgotten Assange was probably the person who got him over the line. Hillary Clinton blames Assange: "“I do think it’s a little ironic that [Assange] may be the only foreigner that this administration would welcome to the United States,” she said after the election.

He epitomises journalistic objectivity and has shown great courage and determination. The world needs more people like John. He’s a man of integrity, who fights for truth and justice. Yonden is also a great journalist and it was very nice of him to say those kind words at the end of this interview. "In a time of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act" “Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence and thereby eventually lose all ability to defend ourselves and those we love.” - Julian Assange

They have been asking for months not to invite Ukraine to Nato but of course US has openly confessed many times that their main idea is to weaken Russia and destroy their country. On top of that Ukraine was bombing the Russian Ukrainian for eight years since the coup. Therefore this is a proxy war against Russia at the expense of Ukrainian people.

  • "The fact that China is surrounded by some 40 U.S. bases all the way up from Australia through the Pacific, across to Asia up to Korea and Japan and Okinawa, all aimed at the industrial heartland of China." Those words from John Pilger pretty much summed up the attitude of the U.S.A. towards China. A. ASEAN alliance: Failed. B. Quad: U.S.A. + Australia + Japan + India. C. Aukus: U.S.A. + U.K. + Australia. D. Partnership in Blue Pacific: U.S.A. + U.K. + Australia + New Zealand + Japan. E. Asian NATO: NATO + Australia + New Zealand + Japan + Korea => real possibility. John Pilger also talked about the sufferings that Julian Assange has endured during those years. In case everyone has forgotten, it is worth noting the extraordinary overreach of U.S. extraterritorial jurisdiction in the detention of Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou in Canada for almost 3 years to extract concessions from the Chinese tech giant and to suppress China's "Made-in-China 2025" initiative to revolutionize its industrial and manufacturing digitization. 1. Technology sanctions: Huawei, DJI, Hikvision, TikTok, Xiaomi, etc.; 2. Energy sanctions: all Chinese oil and gas companies; 3. Military sanctions: all Chinese defense manufacturers; 4. Investment sanctions: no American can invest in 59 Chinese companies on U.S. blacklist; and 5. Economic sanctions: too many to list (including hurting Hong Kong and Xinjiang economic progress). The U.S.A. has been mustering all its muscles to corner China and to stop China from outstripping its dominance status. The American grand scheme is to reign in China's economic and, by extension, military rise, especially when economists all over the world, including Americans, expect China to surpass the U.S. to become the world's biggest economy in the next few years. The Biden administration vowed never to create a cold war with China but all they did are exactly the opposite of what they proclaimed. When all else failed, the Taiwan fuse will be lit to create a proxy war involving Japan, Australia and possibly South Korea against China.

    • Below is a comment from "@some guy" that was somehow deleted, presumably by KZhead when they found out that the given statistics are false and misleading: @some guy US invested about 123 billion in China in 2020. In the past decades they have GIVEN China billions in foreign aid and as recently as last year still gave them over 50 million dollars (poor China, you know, is a developing country). The US maintains free navigation of key shipping lanes and helps protect ALL shipping from piracy - even Chinese. Meanwhile, China continues to illegally harass Phillipinos fishermen in their own waters. US pushed to have China admitted to the WTA where they are given special stats as a developing nation. The idea that the US is trying to militarily oppress China is a total Chinese fabrication to play on nationalist sentiments and get support for the CCP regime (an unelected, unrepresentative government that censors the media, imprisons people without cause and holds them without due process). All of China's neighbors, including Taiwan, are free to join and participate in whatever organizations they think will help their own countries regardless of how China (or the USA) feel about it. The fact that they feel the need to join into military cooperation with the US shows us who they are really concerned about.
