What is it that I am missing why so many haters of this guy? It sounds like to me he tried to bring to trump’s attention about a situation that the FBI knew about that trump may not of known himself and how to handle this matter. Pretty cool if you ask me... secondly trump seemed pleased and friendly with Comey until he denied the special request by Trump for his loyalty. What that meant is only conjecture by me but I think we all know what that meant.
After reading all the comments, I want to say: if you haven't read Comey's book, do so. (Hint: I got it out of the library). It doesn't matter if you agree with him on everything; it's interesting and often humorous. Only the last third, if that, has anything to do with Trump.

You need a hearing check. James Comey stated on camera the POTUS can legally fire the FBI Director. What more evidence do you need to realize Comey's own actions or lack of action got him fired?? In conclusion - the core assertion of the Steele dossier was correct - that Russia was involved in a concerted effort to meddle with the US election.

Comey was Fed. Prosecutor for most of his career, hence a law enforcement official, with plenty of experience with investigations and criminals. As for the "trenches", only two FBI directors were agents.
