Blake didnt have clutch, go-to moves to finish out games. Because he couldn't generate easy baskets, he was dead tired at the ends of crucial games. To cap it off, Doc's "system" didn't get ANYONE easy shots like Ty Lue gets this Clippers team.
Fr, Ty Lue’s offense is almost a polar opposite to Lob City. All the excellent passing open 3’s generated on transition are a true testament to easy shots. W Take.
This show is cool. Just watching old NBA players talk about the game, unfiltered. JJ has so many connections, it just makes sense. What a great idea.
I agree. I love hearing real talk about how things really were. I literally laughed and cried watching AI on All the Smoke. It made me remember why he was my favorite player.

Dwight would’ve been top 10 if he didn’t stick his snake in every hole he found. He had like 10 children within 5 years. He dropped off mentally before he dropped off physically. Completely self-inflicted.

Such a heartbreak to hear about that '10 Team. We went nuts in '09 in Downtown Orlando on Orange Ave when we went to the Finals. Unfortunately a missed layup swang the momentum in the other direction, but then we added my Daytona Beach HS LEGEND Vince Carter. As a Magic fan, those were the days! JJ, I was rooting for you so hard to carve out some playing time and to see you go on to have the career you did makes me happy as a fan. Then Matt Barnes, dude, your energy and the way you scrapped was so rad to see in a Magic uniform. Thanks for the memories boys!

I love the Warriors. Just like Barnes described. It is so refreshing to watch a team with no egos who just want to win. And to date, the core has stayed together. Imagine that. Players sacrificing money to win and create a legacy / dynasty that evolved organically (I am ignoring the KD stint; I wasn't a super fan of that acquisition).

Duke JJ was a legend and one of the best shooters in NBA history

Players like Steph, Klay, and Dray love to share the ball, which Durant couldn't live. The passing mentality from Pops to Steve is the utmost meaning of basketball.

I don’t think that’s what it comes down to at all, you must’ve forgot that until the warriors won in 2015 a “jump shooting team” HAD NEVER won a championship even though they made it there often (09 magic). It really was their lack of egos, that’s why igoudala won mvp. Curry didn’t care if he was taking those shots

The end of this is the most important thing. Different sport but this past Super Bowl when a lot of sports analysts were saying all of the pressure was on the Rams as the Bengals weren't suppose to be there and were young all I thought was sports has been littered with promising young teams who got to the final dance early and never got there again so the Bengals had as much pressure as the Rams, there is never a guarantee in the future.

Draymond would NOT allow the high flying Blake Griffin to beat the Dubs… he personally took on the challenge to attack both physically and psychologically dominate Blake’s game… once Draymond established himself into Blake’s mind, It was all Warriors. The game within the game… Draymond does this to whomever he guards, J.Brown, Joker… makes him the Best overall Defender in my opinion.

Shaq always said Stan was a master of panic and that sounds exactly like what they're saying caused them to fall apart, he panicked that the Celtics might make adjustments and beat them and ruined their momentum, chemistry and rhythm by changing things before even knowing if what had gotten them to where they were would work.
As a Celtics fan who doesn't know basketball, Barnes and Reddick describing a new offensive install hurting their flow is so interesting. The assumption was just that the KG Celtics teams were defensive stalwarts that forced the Magic to grind but they made a very good coach overthink and surrender the initiative.

JJ, Blake, CP3 and now Matt Barnes have all expressed this deep regret for the Clippers not winning it all during the Lob City years. But the reality is, they just weren’t good enough. I remember those years vividly. I never once looked at the Clippers in any given year and thought “Man, they can legitimately win it all this year.” There were always better teams in the west.

So funny with Stan Van Gundy. What Matt described was a total scrub move by SVG and this dude stayed having a coaching job. I hated that about the NBA. A bunch of coaches that never won anything just rotated coaching jobs and it was so hard for young talented coaches to get a chance to do something.

Man that series vs the Lakers...Jameer Nelson being forced into the starting lineup after coming back from injury was the biggest mistake. Skip to My Lou was balling at the starting pg position and they screwed that chemistry up when Nelson came back.

That Orlando team was too reliant on 4 standing around on the outside and dwight howard in the middle. Stagnant offense despite the talent. And Dwight Howard's footwork problems that plague him throughout his career first became evident.

My problem with Chris Paul or playing pickup with someone who thinks they are the leader. Who do they think are or What have they done to think they should be a leader. I go to play on the Warriors team, I might not like it but I have to take Steph, Draymond or Klay's stuff because they are proven players on championship teams.

The problem was that Blake thought he was on cp3's level and he wasn't even close. Blake was an undersized forward who was weak on defense. CP3 made that dude & DeAndre Jordan, which is why u haven't heard much from either of them since.
Eh I wouldnt say Blake is on co level but blake is definitely much better than deandre. Like blake was still pretty damn good on the pistons.

And yes Blake developed a jumper in Detroit but his points were garbage points and did not help them win games. In Blake cp3 yrs that use to leave him open to shoot because he just didn't have that shot then. Without cp3 that team was just another team nothing special.
