Things are heating up this clay court season. So far Injuries is leading the field.
WTA Finals was easily the highlight of the Madrid Open. ATP was strangely flaccid.
it was a crazy injured carnaged madrid tournament and Rome is starting with some of the injured players not playing or undecided. thanks for the video Cam
Hey Cam - Olympic rankings are determined June 10 - ranks after French open - could be cool to cover the race for that too going forward
You could animate the points changing as you talk about rankings, it would be so much easier to follow who's dropped/gained how many points
Want to see Rybakina win RG or Wimbledon so she can move to 3 where she deserves. Iga and Aryna still solid as 1&2 unless Rybakina finally wins a GS this year
Ii is not the matter of deserve or not deserve in sport. It is the result which make a difference.
@@elwiraludwikowska9576 and that’s where Rybakina should be given her results in 2024
Thank you very much Cam for your excellent analysis 👏👏 🙏🙏🎾💙🇬🇷
Good job Cam. Everything is stable.
Lol.... I wish I could read your thoughts. 'Stable' could mean anything...🤔 - my uncle's cousin keeps his mule Ruth in a stable.
On the women's side it feels like there's the top 3-4 players and then everyone else.
Actually three: Elena, Aryna and Iga. Who would be the fourth one?
@@jukkao.parviainen8669 I would say Gauff although she hasn't done that much this season so far.
@@postive-vibes Too fragile forehand still, on the other side she has now a top coach. She should evolve from the forever talent to a consistent top player. Will it happen? In my opinion, it’s now the clear Big Three. Any of these three doesn’t feel that the match against Coco is a real threat.
Thanks Cam. As per usual excellent Rankings Show. My favourite channel 👍🏾
Thanks for the video Cam, you are quick! 😁interesting to see who makes a run at Rome. Rublev wins my vote as a player of the week😁
Congratulations ❤❤
Thanks Cam. That was an interesting tournament. Quite entertaining.
"Tsitsipas, Badosa drop" Haha
I love Rybakina, Iga, Sabalenka ,Zheng.
Swiatek is almost 3500 points ahead of no.2 Sabalenka. Most probably she will keep her no.1 atleast till Shanghai open or WTA finals where she has to defend the titles.
Cuz this WTA era is so lazy compared to Justine Henin and Serena Williams's era
@@wimzswimz9843Elena, Saba or Iga would swipe the floor with those ones….it’s like any other sports, it’s evolving. Iga is currently breaking almost in the every tournament some of Serena’s records and she is at the end of May 23 yrs old.
They win a room heater.
Cam, your race to the finals point are different with the official source
Girls final was great.! Stoked to see Roob’s win. Hope the young guns are healthy for RG., thanks Cam, love ya work 🎉
How can one purple patch make Gauff still at number 3? The ‘big 3’ are ahead of the pack in form
Over 3,500 out of Coco’s 7,300 points came from that purple patch. Expect she will fall back to 4th by conclusion of this year’s USO.
I even don't understand why iga swiatek is too good despite of crowded schedule while the others are so weak. Really one of the worst WTA era ever
@@wimzswimz9843So how many months you have been watching tennis, or you live in 90’s? Stop watching WTA if you don’t like it. It’s plain obvious why you don’t understand.
@@jukkao.parviainen8669 So, what's the matter with my comment? Nobody like you can stop every comments from other people besides mine! Everybody has the right to give an opinion you know! Or you're angry i'm correct that today's WTA era is one of the worst era?
@@wimzswimz9843 No, I am not angry. I am just wondering how you you deflect the former tennis professionals like Andy Roddick saying that Swiatek is a centennial talent. From my part, I know how hard she trains in the all areas of her play. First of all, extremely difficult western forehand grip and even she said in the press conference after the final that you can’t compare men’s and women’s tennis, because women would naturally loose. But we can take the example of USO 2022, where the shot speeds were constantly measured. The result was that Sinner hit the forehand 4 mph faster than Swiatek, on the backhand only Thiem was able to hit the same speed. Iga’s average was higher than top20 on the ATP side. Of course you can have your own opinion, but copying and pasting it everywhere is senseless as there is no science to back it up.
Let's roll Cam, when are we starting Rome? I am on tenterhooks and am already suffering from withdrawals! 😭 The suspense is growing... after Rome we will have a good idea who will be licking their wounds and who will be turning up for RG.
Think Ruud will make another final
Iga just harvesting what she plants. Absolutely over-professional player, she's not only a tennis player, she's a full-time athlete, she lives the sport like Cristiano Ronaldo, etc., it's beyond only a work. I recommend to read some of her interviews to the polish media outside mainstream publications because there she can express better how she works. I'm not a fan because my kind of player are the bashers, but I gotta recognise her quality and dedication without a doubt. Unfortunately she has a curse: she's not american so she gotta work 1000x more to have the right recognition, anyway she's not stopping any sooner.
Watching her play is like watching paint dry
Wow are the ATP finals a priority for Nole? Maybe not at this stage…
He still has the chance to at least enter ATP Finals 2024 for the last time!
With the bunching of players in the 3,000 - 4,000 points and lack of consistency amongst the top 10 WTA players outside the Big 3, it starting to look at a random draw as to who goes into the Top 10 WTA players.
Of course this is one of the worst WTA era cuz some players are mostly lazy
wimzswimz9843 well, most of current generations are lazy, just children of consumerism.
Any of the top 8 can win 🏆 this year FO.
🤷♀️ Parabéns à vencedora do torneio em Madrid'24 e N.º1 WTA Iga Świątek. 💪🏆
still no 1 is amazing for 37 years old man
428 weeks already then i surrender cuz he's been 37 years old, so he needs miracle again to defend Roland Garros title
And Badosa & Tsitsipas breaks up
El tenis esta un ervidero.. Puede pasar cualquier cosa con el Ranking, me refiero al de hombres, porque el de mujeres, se consolida 1GA.. Y Sabalenka, no suma puntos. En Madrid... 👍
Big thanks to Rublev for saving Madrid from becoming a total farce. A masters title, 1000 points and 1mln$ for FAA for having a string of walkowers and retirements would be ridiculous.
That’s no fault of FAA
Rybakina will be a champion of RG or Wimbledon, US Open. Fingers crossed 🤞🍀❤🎉
Wimby, RG is for Iga, USO is for Saba or Iga.
@@jukkao.parviainen8669or Coco defends her USO title so all 4 of them have a slam win
@@tousan2320 So she was also just 19 yrs old when she won her first Slam like Iga. There is hope then.
@@tousan2320 I think a clue is to concentrate to singles and not play doubles.
Wow, Novak out of contention is definitely a surprise, lol.
The biggest rankings change was Tsitsitpas...😬
Novak hasn't even been in a final this year.
Cuz you don't understand how the ranking system of tennis works
No leí ningún reconocimiento para Sabalenka finalista del torneo Mutua Madrid conociendo el duelo que está viviendo. Valiente Aryna ❤🐯🐆
I wish they marry each other. Rublev and Swiatek. That way the cold war will finally end. The earlier cold war did not end with end of communism in east Europe.
The next generation is bright. The next generation still belongs to Novak Djokovic
😂 If you say so! If he's the Next Generation, why isn't he reaching finals or winning tournaments?
@@DaveOwen-vn6ie No problem if he hasn't reached any final cuz he's been the future so he actually just enjoys his short journey. Moreover, it was out of my expectation cuz he did a very great job by winning 3/4 finals of GS, 2 ATP masters 1000 + ATP final + ATP 250. This is the reason he is still no. 1 until after Roland Garros 2024. Nobody is everlasting, but he's been reaching until this so far
