  • the biggest advantage which makes the bank win the most from my view as a mathematician is the max bet problem. making us reach a point where we cannot keep the raising ratio we calculated for a positive outcome. leading to a limited amount of tries before hitting max bet amount which is way less than the calculated minimum tries it would neet for an almost 100% win... That is mathematically seen the real problem why its tough to win at roulett

  • The simple answer is you must bet more when you win than when you lose. The problem is implementing that. Awesome explanation by the way, I love the analogy to taxes on business.

  • There is another advantage at a roulette table that I don't see mentioned here. It's not just the house advantage of 2.7%, but you must also include the table bet limits. Most live casino tables often have a minimum bet of $5 and often a max (outside) bet of something like $2500. Add whatever progression system you want...you must, if you're willing to risk alot of money, hit your bet within 9 spins or you'll lose $2555.

  • The wheel is random, and I do believe that it's fixed in some cases. If you want consistency in wins learn some systems and be as random as the ball.. You can hit playing the same numbers but not every spin.. Rotate some good systems with progression and you'll win more.. But no matter how much you win, if you don't know when to walk it all means nothing.

    @The_Life_of_KingT@The_Life_of_KingT3 жыл бұрын
  • The problem is in the limits of either the bankroll of the player or the house bet limits. People think getting ten times the same colour is nearly impossible but it happens on average twice every 1000 spins. And nearly all tables have a limit that is high enough to allow ten doublings from the minimum bet.

    @DavidvanDeijk@DavidvanDeijk4 жыл бұрын
    • Another one of the problems is the house advantage. If you have the advantage, then you should be able to win if you can play for as long as possible, whether you have unlimited bankroll or not. And the person in this video is wrong. Mathematics (most specifically, linearity of expectation) proves that there is no system that wins in the long run.

      @GaryLuKOTH@GaryLuKOTH4 жыл бұрын
  • Actually there are just 3 factors that can make or break your gamble. I've been playing the American version for over a decade at many casinos. It all comes down to these 3 factors. Your play, the odds (duh!?), and the person spinning the ball around the wheel. That's it. Want to know if I'm serious. Win too much and see how fast they switch the dealer out for someone else. 9 times out of 10 your so-called luck will be over. The casinos knows the dealer's play a part in the whole game. Some dealers are more consistent, while some are all over the board. If you can find a great consistent dealer you've solved most of the failings of roulette.

    @somerpg@somerpg4 жыл бұрын
    • It is quite crazy that no one really factors in the dealer. You can look at each one as a type of signature involving speed of the flick and position of the wheel. I know dealers that always flick when a certain number is at a certain point on the wheel, some use their lucky number and some just go random to get it choppy. This will upset the rhythm of the game and the hot numbers will drift. Get to know the dealers technique and you are a little bit closer to nailing the win.

  • Nobody says you can't win playing roulette. The mathematical argument (and sorry to say, but it is valid and true), is that there cannot be a system in place in which you can guarantee you will win. It will always be a gamble. There are obviously things you can do to increase or decrease the chances of winning, but there is no bet you can place on the roulette table that is guaranteed to provide you a positive yield after the number is decided.

Some sessions last 10 min if I hit my win limit, and sometimes its an hour. Once I hit my win limit, I leave. Simple I've studied roulette for over 20 years, and there is no doubt that there is a sort of 'sequence" that often occurs when certain numbers show. • The author of this video doesn’t understand the argument they are attempting to refute. No-one is saying that it’s impossible to play roulette and come out ahead, even after a significant number of spins. What the mathematical result shows is that any possible roulette bet is more likely to lose money than to win it, and because each spin is independent, any combination of bets on successive spins is also more likely to lose you money than gain it, and the longer you play, the worse, on average, you will do-if you walk away from the table with more money than you started with, you did it against the odds.

Have a set bank amount , set amount you want to win ( within reason ) .Don't get greedy Don't take cards in only cash . If you loose ( which somedays you will ) leave. ( only bet what you can afford ). The casinos will ( if you are a regular winning ) switch croupiers , switch balls ( different types of ball material. Limit maximum single bets are a killer also . In UK usually 100 pound unless pit manager agrees ( depending on your status / celebrity ) . Those who know have watched stars / celebrities loose large amounts will know. Every time I won I would buy something nice or book a holiday . In essence you can win but like any organisation loosing money eventually the casinos will fathom you out. @RouletteMan@RouletteMan4 жыл бұрын
    • RouletteMan - Ok, then simply explain why it’s not the 3% less payout that we lose. And once your done, your argument is really that one should never play roulette. We play for a chance to win not for a 100% probability of winning. The real motivating factor is learning a strategy that increases ones chance of winning consistently. For example, my last session was 86 spins with 65 wins and 21 loses or 65% wins and 24% loses. With my strategy my bets placed resulted in 86% wins and only 14% loses with a total profit of $4400. My experience is that having consecutive loses is what kills and not having a large enough bank roll to recover three consecutive loses. I am continuing to test my strategy until I have 5,000 spins to test prove my winning strategy. Then it’s on to the casinos as soon as they reopen.

  • We loose, because it is a closed system. If you put 1 unit to red and 1 unit to 0 you get even if red comes, loose 2 if black comes and win 35 if 0 comes. So, if you spin the wheel for 35 times you would loose 1/3x2 because the ball hit the blacks. The variance just gives you a possibility to win sometimes. If you are so lucky to get 0 at first round, you win 35 units if you stop there. But on the long run, this won't happen. You could have rounds you get O last spin and all 35 spins that ends to black. Then you would loose 35x2,because you don't win anything, you loose your 1 unit on 0 and 1 unit on red 35 times. That's the basics of all closed systems, mind you trade is a closed system. If you can't sell anything, maybe you can borrow money and pay it back when you start earning again. That's why central banks release more money to market ( and same time weaken the money value, because it's a closed system and there's more money on the market ). So, if you have a large bankroll, you can "borrow" money your bankroll if you hit the bottom, but because you can't "release" any money, you are still in the same system. Only way you can win is martingale, but you know how that usually ends. Other way is to steal as Einstein said. This is the real reason why some people are rich and some are poor and some steal and that we need social security to prevent the stealing. The poor people don't know how to use different kinds of systems to make more money. They don't understand the concept of interest. This could be the real way to gain money from roulette, if something is. Let's say you reverse martingale with 1 dollar. 5 times red comes 32, if you flatbet it's only 5 or you loose that's -5. If you are fearless, try that. Mind you you also loose if you loose on spin 4. If you end up winning, the winnings should go to some other system in order to not to loose all at the end. If you can use the variance to your advantage, maybe there is a change of some kind, but not within the same system. Happy coming summer to all 🐝

  • Wow, all that for someone to try to tell me that gambling does not have short term guaranteed outcomes and that people can figure out how to game the comp system such that they can come out ahead of the house edge some of the time. All that is true, but there is a concept in probability that's known as the Law of Averages. This is not a theorem, not a possibility, it's a scientific Law, which means it is absolutely a true and proven concept in mathematics. So on a strict gambling perspective, you will lose money directly from the gambling, over time, guaranteed. But what about comps? Well, in the old days before the eye in the sky, when your comps were based on what the pit boss saw when he observed your game, you could increase your bets when the pit boss was watching and then decrease your bets when he wasn't and as long as you weren't caught bobbing your bets you might be able to get away with gaming the comps. However, nowadays that's a lot harder to do because if a large comp package is expected to be offered, a casino will usually have their camera's observe your game when the pit boss isn't looking. In that case it's hard to get them to over comp you. But all that is academic. It has nothing to do with a betting strategy or the odds on a bet. It has to do with trying to scam the house on comps, enough to overcome the house edge. With that said, there is no betting strategy that can overcome the house edge over time. The best advice is to institute a stop loss and stop win, bet to have fun and enjoy the experience, win or lose. Or...learn to count cards in Blackjack.

Its all about winning ratio and law of compensation.. U need to expect a 50% chance Coming out 1 out of 2,2 out of 4, 3 out of 6,,4 out of 8 and etc etc.. As u can see the more long run go.. The more probability ull have to get closer to expectation. A street of 6..ull will expect it 1 out of 6 spins.. 2 out of 12, 3 out of 18.. It might happens 50 spins without.. But in 300 spins the winning ratio will definetly compansate.. From this theory.. Feel free to make up ur desired system.. And be ready to play hor hours before u can see profits

For example, you can play with a 96% success betting on even chances, if you follow the binomial, wich says that you will have that % of success in 5 spins. Or 8 spins betting on docens (or any group of 12 numbers), for example. And so on.

In the final of one Tournaments the last spin I had to pick one number to win and sure enough it came up, $50,000 first prize for me for a $200 dollar entry fee but I came second in another Tournament where the last bet of my opponent was on 8 Black and I chose to place a minimum bet on red so if his number didn't come up I win,, sure enough number eight hit as against my (single zero wheel) 36 other options which would have resulted in my winning, I was shocked that some one else saw something I didn't, guess I was too cocky.

Also I can tell you it isn't random and is predictable, I win because I examine the probability of systems I come up with against the hundreds of consecutive results I collected from dozens of wheels, if it beats all of them and is the most profitable then I use the system. Basically I try to predict the future. It's also easy to go through all that data and test my systems because I'm a programmer and data analyst, if I were to collect 5000 numbers of data I can process it in 30 minutes. That's how I win, it's not that hard if you have the right tools, in this case an app to go through the data but I could do the same with the stock market if I wanted but you need a lot to make a lot in stocks.

  • You can win, if you get lucky, that's about it. Roulette is a true RNG, it can't be predicted and any patterns can only be observed in retrospect. Strategies can help you lose less and avoid counter productive bets but that's all. Martingale is the closest to "winning" strategy you're going to find, but it is negated by max bet limits (usually 100x the minimum bet). Calling any roulette strategy a way to beat the game, is massively over selling it. This is a game that has been around for over half millennium and is still unbeaten, even by its creator who, incidentally, killed himself in frustration over being unable to beat it. You simply can't get around the math, many have tried, all have failed, the game wouldn't be in the casino otherwise. I have been in the industry for 20 years and met literally thousands of people with "winning strategies" all of them show a net loss in the player tracking records. If you want to beat the house, play blackjack, count cards and dont get caught. Otherwise, see casinos for what they are, entertainment. Take in what you are willing to spend on your evenings entertainment, leave you cards at home and have fun. If you win, great - but don't see it a source of income, because it's not, and never will be.

  • I agree with you. Too much thought is given to loosing. Roulette is not as random as people think it is. In fact it follows 2 simple laws. The law of natural order and the law of probability. For instance I can tell you without any hesitation that there is only one outcome after every spin. And that outcome will be 1 of only 37 possible outcomes. This is another important point to remember. It is a closed system. For example it will not be 45 Red or 63 Black. This is not a natural outcome. Because the level of 'Randomness' is LIMITED to ONLY 1 out of 37 results. Sounds stupid right? Me stating the obvious? And yet players still seem to think the Roulette wheel does not play 'Fair'. It is 'Random'. But as you rightfully say when was the last time red spun 7yrs in a row? Or the number 9 showed up 6,000 spins in a row? Never! And never will. Because it is not in the law of natural order.It would be actually unnatural for that to happen as it would be for zero never to show up in 12yrs worth of spins or even 12 hours worth of spins. Doesn't happen. The Roulette Wheel is an amazing generator which is programmed to spin 50/50 odds and evens as well as red and black. That is in accordance to the natural law of order. The same natural law that forbids female children from being born into the world out numbering male children. There has never been and never will be a decade where there is only females born. No males. Bet on it. But yet the experts and the Mathematician will tell you that this is in fact the case. It should occur. But again it doesn't. So then if it is not random there must be some form of order? A pattern? And if so why is it roulette seems so random? Well it's because we do not understand where in the cycle of 'natural order'it is. And thats what makes it seem random. It is up to the player to determine where in the natural order or what count its up to. I discovered there is a certain Geometry that governs numbers. That geometry helped me to make certain decisions around other numbers appearing soon after. For instance I noticed that if the numbers 7-8-6-0-18 showed up one of the following 4 numbers 6-9-35-36 would appear inside the next 3 spins and sometimes they will appear in all 3 spins. Common pattern. And I have found many many others just like them. Try it. The next time you see those numbers come out take 6-9-35-36 straight up and stay with 3 spins. If you hit one of them on the 1st spin go again you will most likely hit again on the same 4 numbers.

    • You need a better strategy instead of just random betting. Try SAME/OPPOSITE when betting on 1:1 bets, this works well for me, or try Red, Black, Red, Red, Black, Black, then repeat. Use both with the Martingale.

    • Shh this never happens when these system buyer martingale, not, it's so stupid, I've seen it go 20 repeats in a row, I've tried to help the guy, but he just want to call people haters and sell his system, which is how he funds his losses. All his system does is increase win percentage, by trasing it for lots of small wins and rare huge losses, which convinces idiots his systems works, and then when they eventually have the inevitable huge loss, he will point to some way they messed up following the system precisely to explain away the loss, so then his customers are out several thousand dollars plus the $500 they got ripped off on the worthless system.

  • Roulette is the most honest game in the casino. Note that I said honest, not fair. Roulette displays its ridiculously high house advantage openly: Thirty-eight slots in the wheel, but all the bets pay an amount that would be fair if there were thirty six slots.. Anybody with even rudimentary math skills can figure out that, with an unbiased wheel, the game is a losing proposition. Anybody who tells you differently is a moron.

    • I'm very eager to help you. Don't simply bet. Must wait until a certain pattern of the spins turns up and then only start betting. Line bet (6 nos ) is the best. For example if the number 30 came out just bet on the two lines 25 to 30 and 31 to 36. Once hit must wait for the next result or if you want to take a risk bet again the same lines but with less amount until a change appear. I had seen before that 25 to 36 came out in a certain occasion more than 10 times in a roll and this is not impossible. You need a bit of luck also in this type of gambling. Good luck to you and happy gambling then.
