"Keep your feet warm." We have known this truth since childhood. Even now, when the temperature outside is above zero and the heating is turned off, your feet become cold when you sit motionless in front of the TV or computer.
The ideal solution to warm your feet is to wear socks or sew footwear. I like different footwear: thin, warm, they last a long time, they fit like a glove on my feet.
What fabric should I use? Any knitwear: T-shirts, warm sweaters, scarves are suitable. This model can be sewn exactly to fit any family member, child or adult.
The tracks are double, you will need 4 rectangles, 2 for each track.
1) To determine the size, you need to place your foot on the fabric and mark the length of the foot from the big toe to the heel - this will be the length of the rectangle.
2) The width is measured as follows: we place the fabric on top of the foot, using these measurements we build a rectangle. When cutting, if the fabric stretches, there is no need to make allowances, then the finished tracks will fit the leg.
3) Take the rectangles in 2 layers and fold along the long side. We make a rounding from the fold, this will be the toe of the footprint, and from the side of the heel a concave arc. You can use a round lid from any jar as a tool. We unfold the pattern.
4) Where the semicircle is, the toe, make a mark in the middle and draw a straight line. Measure its length on your foot - from the toe to the bend of the foot I got 13 cm. If you make this length smaller, the footprint will be more open.
5) Sew along this line. We also sew along the concave line of the heel. We turn the workpiece inside out - we get the upper part of the trace.
Sole:
It doesn't have to be cut from the same fabric. It would be even better to take a drape, a denser material, let it not stretch. You can stitch the leather for longer use.
- I cut out the sole with allowances.
- Mark the points in the middle of the heel and toe and apply the upper part. Everything should fit perfectly.
- Sew in a circle using an overlocker or zigzag.
- We turn out the footprints, put them on our feet and enjoy the result.
- For decoration, I sewed a fur bubo.
You can put an insole inside, it will be warmer.
