This is a typical residential rainwater harvesting set up.
The system consists of ;
1. The catchment , that is the roof.
2. The first rain separator also called FRS to segregate the first few minutes of rain.
3. A sedimentation tank to settle any dust in the water. It also acts like a first rain separator.
4. A two chamber filter comprising of aggregates, silex and activated carbon.
5. An underground water storage tank to collect the water.
6. A recharge well to collect any excess water or overflow from the Storage tank. It also collects the surface run off.
Some of the salient features of this set up are;
A. A two chamber up-flow filter is used since the catchment has many plants and the water needs additional filter.
B. A sampling valve is given to collect water sample for purpose of testing.
C. Filter is designed in such a way that the filter can be back-washed after every rain.
So heartening to see every drop of water being saved and used. Salute your passion.
If every home had that set up there will be no water shortage
this is what exactly I am looking for in my new house to implement. Thank you very much.
The only proper video of RWH system i have seen 👏👏👏👏
This is one of the robust system I seen. Good job
Excellent engineering! You've thought deeply of every aspect of rain water harvesting, conservation and usage. Kudos!
This is what I searched for. Thank you Sunil Ji
Hi Sunil, I really applaud your passion and enthusiasm for renewable energy, which includes rainwater harvesting. Keep doing the good work. You are the hidden gem of India👏👏👏
Liked the way you presented and your beautiful system. Thanks for sharing
Amazing and well thought out water harvesting system! I'm inspired!
Superb Mr Sunil… keep up the good work! And your video is always informational.
WOW SIR WHAT A PLAN WISH YOU ALL THE BEST GOD BLESS YOU 🙌 SIR REAL INDIAN LOVER I HAVE A NO WORD FOR IDIA TNKYU SO MUCH SIR YOUR IDIA PURCHASE FOR EVERYONE I LIKED NEXT BHARATRATN EXEPT YOU SIR
Awesome work Sunil👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Very useful understand.. explanation Sir keep doing
Water warrior for future.
Very well done good work 👍
Nice..Maybe a light weight option using plastic tanks should also be considered...might be much cheaper and easier to implement for majority..
Agradecida, Sunil. SP/BR 🇧🇷
Really very neat and simple work processing for save rain water
Very well explained 👏
very nice
Thank you making such an informative video. What would be the cost to setup such system of a water harvesting of capacity 1lakh ltr?
V good, thnks
well done Jnb
thanks for video... do you maintain seperate tank for rain water? if how to avoid contomination of water stay for long time?
Hello sir nice setup...from where can i buy this mounting structure with mounting clips pls share thank you
Awesome and useful !
Thank you
Thank you sir
Mr.Sunil what are the dimensions of your modified rapid sand filter? and why you are not using sand in one of the layers as a filter medium? Please do reply
1. Each tank is about 150 ltrs in capacity. 2. If I use sand , I had to increase the size of filter .
It's just wow
Have done bacteriological test for water collected in the sump? Is it drinkable? You've commented that you've tested water coming from the filter but have you did it from the sump?
Great system..Highly appreciable..Any estimate sir, how much did this full system costed you?
Awesome
Very nice
Interesting concept having Rain water harvesting, solar plant & composting for Roof top garden.. Interested to know the details of investment of 3 or 5 KVA Solar plant and Rain water harvesting systems.. Do you take up the work at Pune?
What’s the cost ?
How much does it cost you for the whole set up?
Sunil, Can we implement bore water recharge well for 30*40 sq ft house where we have just 15*15 space free space left in the ground floor? or how much space required for the borewell recharge setup?
You have to space requirement of 10 by 10 feet of surrounding bore required
Have you tested the filtered water in a laboratory? Is it good for drinking?
Yes , if you have observed there is a valve through which the water can be collected for testing .
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Big metro cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur..... are wasting billions of gallons fresh pure rain water every year ! We have to just catch it !
Can we send to bore well
Amazing... can i know how much it cost for building this Rainwater harvesting system....
Plumbers are costly people. The material costs don't matter, but, their labour charges are astronomical. There is no proper basis to charge. The plumbers look at you and charge hefty sum.
You have to be a good intelligent contractor/civil engineer to negotiate with plumbers. The other point is that plumbers get discount of materials purchased from hardware dealers. 😅
Can you provide blueprint of system
👌👍💚🤝👏🙏🙏🙏🇮🇳
हमारा भारत हिन्दी भाषी देश है। हिन्दी में बोलिए। आंग्ल भाषा में नहीं। क्यों कि आप का सिस्टम ही समझ में आयेगा भाषा नहीं।
Awesome
