What's going over people heads is this is the isu trilogy, starting from Origin and ending with Valhalla. Valhalla focused on what the sages (Introduced in black flag) went through and the memories they had, ofc the sages in Valhalla were basically direct descendants carrying the memories of Isu characters. Odyssey was the story of the staff bearer, kassandra, and her journey to find the isu artifacts, the Atlantis and the underworld and Elysium all were sequences made for her to adapt to the staff based on HER belief such as these memories presented to Eivor based on HIS belief, Origin was a stepping stone, and Valhalla was the departure.
Only person I’ve seen who truly understands assassins creed and it’s lore, people who say it’s not historically accurate or saying it’s not realistic aren’t really fans and just ignore the significance of most of the games story.
Perfect finally someone who understands it. I’m currently trying to figure out what’s the chronological order of these stories. (Valhalla , origins than odyssey right?) or odyssey , origins than Valhalla ? Please help me

Ubisoft really think that copying Elden Ring and God of War is a good idea
that's weird since when the stealth assassinations become god slaying boss fighting fromsoftware carbon copy?
God of War maybe. I don’t think they tapped into fromsoftwares game character, although it would help this game immensely to have more of a soul. Having a boss encounter with a cut scene is hardly unique. The better criticism perhaps is that AC games have lost their identity.
@@bate01071 they definitely took inspiration from the souls-like genre that's created by fromsoft with the stamina bar and focused dodging. I don't know if it's the word for it, but the cutscenes and the fights feel a bit "empty", it's weird
Empty is the word for it. There's hardly anything else going on except for the boss moving around. The boss hardly plays around with the arena at all. Everything feels static and boring here, even the boss's moveset. In Fromsoft's games, the boss typically break props down, fire gets thrown around the arena and singes the ground into cinder, every impact against the ground launches up dust and debris, blasts of wind thrown at your face. They literally play around with the arena to try to gain the advantage over you. There's a lot of detail that goes into Fromsoft games and it really changes everything about a game.
@@utisti4976 the boss attacks feel like they have no impact in AC Valhalla I really agree with you man

I never really thought of vikings as assassins; doesn't fit cuz assassins are stealthy and quiet, while vikings are practically barbarians yelling screaming and hacking
Only way they could've got vikings and assassains together is if they creed was introduced via a close knit relationship from two different factions. Samurai swords were definetly not in the area at the time.
Well the whole point of being an assassin is not to get discovered, so killing everyone before they tell others is one way to do it I guess. If they manage to tell others just kill them too.

It confuses me how eivor never realized the truth of her connection between her and Odin. The pieces are all there.
I think he does but he never makes an actual connection that "He" is Odin reincarnated. To him, he was Odin in the past, the man who is too afraid to die and would do anything to cheat death. While Eivor (throughout the game) is the wise warrior who will fight death at every turn but accepts death when it greets him.

and after that? i cant sit by the fire and warm my bones but it glows like i can.. is there someting more?
Here is my 2 cents on the Valhalla and Ragnarok DLC. I am not trying to troll anyone just presenting my view. I love the new fighting, always felt like just case there are templars vs assassins, does not mean it has to take away from the fighting to be just from the shadows. In a more modern world a assassin would not always need to choose the splinter cell approach and could do a Rambo target takedown, along with all the hostile Tangos in an area. So this is a great setup to introduce new fighting to us, I always missed the option to choose to go in incognito or not. And to be hones, the incognito does not really work ever, it was never an assassination, but execution, in public and messy. Easy for the public to point the blame. If you guys are complaining about this game not being original enough, you should demand it to expand on the options to kill and infiltrate, but then you would also have to say it is an Hitman game and not the original. I believe this game needs a bit of both and non restricted to the player - although it can provide some side effect sort of like alignment, like in KOTOR games that provided some force powers to get easier along with choice or came at extra cost. Maybe some public impact on the gamer.
Being an assassin was never about fighting in public only when needed to, which was usually when the assassins location or presence has been compromised. The assassination in this game doesn’t really work but in the past they work like wonders.
