Because hitting the bag is all he can do? I did a bit of research... This guy has only had 10 fights - 0% win rate, 0% KO rate. Got KO'd 3 times. Based on most of his street advice, I'm reasonably confident he's never been in a street fight. His boxing advice is good - but he's no street fighter. Not that I have a problem with him living in his own little fantasy world where he thinks he's a street-fighter god - and it works as clickbait. I guess it just gets under my skin a bit that he goes to such lengths to get other people to validate his fantasy, and that a lot of his advice his just "Punch them and hope for the best." and people act like this is ground-breaking secret street fighting knowledge.

I'm confident I would win and even if I didn't I would not get KO'd, and I would certainly knock him around a fair bit. Honestly I would walk into that ring without a shred of fear and not just because of his 0% win rate. Even if it wasn't me who fought him... have you ever seen him fight anybody? Across all of his videos all he ever fights is the bag. He has been in 10 fights and has lost every single one. I know lots of lads who can smash the bag good - doesn't prove they can fight. I'm not really criticizing his boxing advice though, I'm criticizing his reality-based advice - I think a lot of what he shows wouldn't work on the street and would even endanger people who attempted it without decent foundation in some form of boxing or martial art. It's just a power fantasy and he's surrounding himself with people who are all patting each other on the back about how badass they are when most of them have probably never been in a street fight in their life and wouldn't have a clue what to do even after watching all of his videos.

He does telegraph a lot. Not so much in this clip but if you know what to look for like unnatural behaviour for the scenario, changing stance from square to dominant hand back, sudden sucking in of breath, cocking back before a punch pulling a face or even just unnatural facial expressions or how they use their eyes. Being a boxer a lot of the time this guy will switch stance and strike in a timed 1,2 cadence instead of rolling the movements into one.

And you know in a fight you'll already be moving and these small movements will be hidden or even faked. All coaches say do one thing and then they'll not do it exactly like they've described!

@@Cloppa2000 I've never picked that with Tony Jeffries but I'll keep an eye out for it. Boxing is a great art and I loved doing it. Don't think it gets the respect it deserves post MMA fan boys. Krav Maga was where I really started picking up on tells. We fought square stance so you could launch from nothing if suddenly attacked so there was no time wasted if surprised, just reaction. I've even faked out new boxers by feinting a heavy shot when they pull a face loading up a shot to stop them from committing to it. Dropping the hand before a hook is another common one. These techniques would work against someone untrained, but if they know what to look for or are suspicious, body language can give it away. I prefer saying weird stuff that makes no sense to get them thinking like, "let's not go to purple" or "am I wearing the pants for this?" It takes up valuable brain power to analyse what that might mean and leaves less power to process other things.

I love this guy's non-telegraphed power!
He does telegraph a lot. Not so much in this clip but if you know what to look for like unnatural behaviour for the scenario, changing stance from square to dominant hand back, sudden sucking in of breath, cocking back before a punch pulling a face or even just unnatural facial expressions or how they use their eyes. Being a boxer a lot of the time this guy will switch stance and strike in a timed 1,2 cadence instead of rolling the movements into one.
...even in this you see him loading up in his legs.
@@ninjamonkey169 Every fighter does. Even Tony Jeffries pulls his hand back half an inch before jabbing! I was pretty shocked to notice that!.. And you know in a fight you'll already be moving and these small movements will be hidden or even faked. All coaches say do one thing and then they'll not do it exactly like they've described!
@@ninjamonkey169 I see it but if the other guy thinks he is intimidating the victim and is not expecting the strike, he'd think that turning away is scared behaviour. I'll look at others more closely though, as like you said, if you know what to look for you'll see it. I wasn't even thinking to look for it in these clips.
@@Cloppa2000 I've never picked that with Tony Jeffries but I'll keep an eye out for it. Boxing is a great art and I loved doing it. Don't think it gets the respect it deserves post MMA fan boys. Krav Maga was where I really started picking up on tells. We fought square stance so you could launch from nothing if suddenly attacked so there was no time wasted if surprised, just reaction. I've even faked out new boxers by feinting a heavy shot when they pull a face loading up a shot to stop them from committing to it. Dropping the hand before a hook is another common one. These techniques would work against someone untrained, but if they know what to look for or are suspicious, body language can give it away. I prefer saying weird stuff that makes no sense to get them thinking like, "let's not go to purple" or "am I wearing the pants for this?" It takes up valuable brain power to analyse what that might mean and leaves less power to process other things.
