I think most people's fear, is when he knows at end what needs to be done to get endings and everything, he will be "too tired", or "don't have time" to do it.

@@gillsejusbates6938 the biggest catch of this game is a tiny bit of 4th wall breaking and some rather very hidden secrets. so if u will find game fun enough to play trough it it kinda slaps you in the face at some point and then there is high chance that u will feel the need to dig deeper and u find everything a lot more fun. genocide run/ending is very interesting experience when u will get the vibe of normal ending but overall yea this game is for sure not something uber crazy. it just baits you into thinking that its just a silly basic game for kids and then kicks you in the balls for shock value xd

I have not seen one person do any true run on their first playthrough.
It's almost impossible to do a no-mercy or all-mercy run on your first playthrough, of course that's what he plays first

I don't know why people were screaming at others to be quiet when they said Yellow means you can SPARE them, the game LITERALLY tells you in the beginning that YELLOW means you can SPARE, Asmon just didn't pay attention to it.

Nahh, the neutral run is the best one to introduce you to the game, then you can play the other true routes

@@j4yd32 actually, you kinda can, if you spare everyone and do the side things in your 1st play through, after the final boss you can just load your game and from there you can do true pacifist, the game even tells you how if you didn't fight a certain someone, and even tells you "load your save" if you didn't kill anyone

Cringy part of the fandom aside, this is and still be one of the most compelling and fun "pull-on-your-heartstrings" game I've ever played for something of its size and scope.
It’s been about 9ish years since Undertale was released most of the people in the fandom at its peak who grew up are much older now. The fandom for the most part has chilled out in recent years (Too busy counting the days until deltarune is out) but unfortunately it still has a bit of a backseat problem.
@@aidans1188100%. i think mainly the backseat problem comes from the nature of the game. people want their favorite creators to experience everything the game has to offer as they consider certain hidden bits as part of the games true vision. it's just not possible though without backseating and ruining the experience. people have trouble accepting that.

People might want Asmongold to do the "good path", but i want to see the "neutral path". The love he gained would hit harder.
you can't get pacifist on your first time, you need flowey to tell you after neutral to go back to the core's bridge to get that undyne call for the letter.

@@DarthZ01 It still is after FINISHING the neutral route, whether you go through it whether you like it or not, there is no possible way to get to see the events of the real laboratory without first defeating photoshop flowey, so start again or load the game, it is still your SECOND RUN.

The thing about code is debatable since with Undertale it works well with the top down 8-bit style but with 3d games you gotta deal with trying to code for a lot more things which I don’t know since I don’t do coding

Are we living in an alternate universe? Did someone cause a split in the timeline? What made Asmon wanting to play UNDERTALE? I didn't watch the stream, so this just seems out of the blue. I'm glad he's trying it out tho, even if he's most likely killing everything on his first playthrough.
He killed Toriel, but he didn't want too. He just didn't realize how the talk/mercy mechanic worked at that point yet. Other than that, he seems to be sparing overworld characters now (non-random encounters) meaning the only other thing he killed by accident at this point is Lesser Dog since it presents as a random encounter. He even went on the Papyrus date.
Caught the stream yesterday while he was doing the skeletons voice. I was like “wtf is going on here?”
Alarm goes off, reach over to check phone and see the notification Asmon is playing Undertale. Laugh it off since I'm clearly still asleep. That would never happen. Figured I would enjoy this lucid dream, so I jumped off my second story porch to fly around town. Broke my arm. I'm now watching this from the ER.
Craziest part of this post is letting notifications go off like alarms when youre sleeping. If KZhead EVER woke me from a slumber, to tell me someone did a video, id shatter the phone.

Weirdly enough, Asmon's purely unspoiled run could be taken as Frisk's "first & original timeline". Especially with Toriel's bossfight too. Them having grown attached to Toriel would listen to her and maybe even sleep everything off until the voices beckon them to continue. Or they would be forced to fight, being chocked beyond comprehension when she takes too much damage and falls even before you could finally hold back This is what an era of reading Undertale fanfics would give you
