  • This is a far cry from my Uncle's old late 90's Mercedes station wagon. Haha. I remember thinking it was nice looking on the outside but that the interior was dull & uninspired. It also was kinda boring to drive. But I think it's safe to say that Mercedes has definitely made some major improvements in both those areas.

    • Improvements that naturally comes with age/technology/evolution, but Mercedes still has the same problem... they still are WAY to expensive, you dont get most luxury or comfort or speed or reliability or looks for your money... not even overall.... BMW is much more for the money... even Audi.... Mercedes are in the Porsche price range... and who the **** would turn down a Porsche for Mercedes... unfortunately, many rich idiots enough.

    • It's some sort of adaptive cruise control, lots of newer cars have it nowadays but without the lane switching, it's pretty cool! My Volvo XC60 has it and it honestly saved my life twice already!

    • Your cousin is smart, he got rid of it before it broke down: German manufacturers' strategy is to system engineer their products for leasing, meaning the cars will start developing problems shortly after the lease expires. Their thinking is to compel their customers to just ditch the car after four to five years and get into their next lease payment, that way they have a steady stream of income from expensive renting of the product. They had to come up with a different business model since their products aren't price competitive, so the quality had to be sacrificed. It's a classic trade-off in system engineering. This thing is not your grandpa's indestructible Mercedes of old.

There is only problem he went to Massachusetts for a car meet, when he came back to nyc he cracked his rim. Nothing happen until he came home and found out. Finding new rims for it was hard but we found it. Later after year he sold since he wanted to slip through cars. Now he has a m5
