I found this machine with old antique rust under the ground. I don't know how many years it was buried in the soil, maybe 100 or 150 years old. First I took off the rust and separated all its parts And restored all its parts one by one This match is in use after restoration And this antique piece is beautiful to look at too

  • When I was a kid, we had identical cutter like this but maybe 3 times larger :) We used to chop hay and straw to make, with addition of some roughly grinded grain, feed for cows and the horse during winter time. It was dangerous work. I had heard of some people maiming their fingers in those gears garbing the uncut yet material, because they were not careful.

  • I didn't know that a machine such as the chaff cutter existed, but anyway, the restoration job was good. It looks much better and it works like a charm too. Excellent work.

  • Very sloppy, imprecize and superficial work. It will not cut ever because it's not sharpened properly. Bad work. And finally, I think it's a fake restoration.

  • If you have that much rust all over the machine why the wheel and bolt are turning so easy I’m not sure if that’s rust for sure 👎🏽

    • He used reverse electrolysis to fake the rust and age. You can even still see the left over wire where he had wired it up.
