  • I remember meeting Stan in Ruislip near QPRs training ground, I thought I would ask him for his autograph. He was stood in the door way of a record shop with his back to me, I asked excuse me Mr Bowles. He turned round and looked shocked, shit he said, you frightened the life out of me, thought you were a bookie after money 😂 Wonderful player was Stan.

  • I was coming out of the Springbok 15 minutes before KO. See Stan coming out of the bookies with a coat and plimsolls on, over his kit. People were patting him on the back and saying get a goal today Stan.

  • Abe: I will always hold QPR dear to my heart. Back in the days of Rodney Marsh and Stan Bowles, they had provided me with much entertainment and delight as I peregrinated to the area of Shepard's Bush, and trecked happily to Loftus Road. Their styles of play and presence of personality were personified with prestigious prowess. I wish the new and historic players all of the best. Big up QPR. London Town is the capital of the universe for billions of people who had arrived and will come and go in the future.
