His win over Till, Askren and Nate were not against top caliber fighter. These 3 fighter are not even in the UFC anymore and were placed in high position that they fell off of very quickly. Then when he finally got put up against a stable ranked fighter that has been tested and worked hard to maintain their position such as Gilbert, Covington and Kamaru, Wonderboy, and even Maia during that time, he looked like an amateur. • Jorge Masvidal was one of the best and most skilled fighters in lightweight and welterweight over the past 15 years. He fought the absolute best of the best whether it was a win or a loss he gave it his all every single fight. I personally think he never looked the same after the first fight vs Usman. He stopped letting his hands go as much and Masvidal was always known for being hard to hit and having great head movement, and that never looked the same after that fight. I really think The pandemic Stopped his big run and the age caught up to him. 2019 was his best year and he fought 3 times that year. The more active Masvidal was the better he was. After over 50 fights, turning 39 this year he still put up a good fight against the best of the best.

Because he is & will always be "Gamebred". His desire to fight and be the best could only ever be matched by his will & determination to put in the work required to be the best @ the highest level. I wish nothing but the absolute best for Jorge & his family. Watching him show up & entertain was a privilege man! I was never bored during any of his performances. I was always on the edge of my seat during his bouts. He has cemented his legacy in the sport of MMA & he has done it at the absolute highest level of the sport - the Ultimate Fighting Championship. 🏆 Jorge I sincerely hope you enjoy your retirement my guy. Kick back & enjoy the time you have now with your child & wife - your family. Salute! ✊️🫵
