  • Many of you like the video but say that it's too fast!! If I could re-edit it I would and I'd make it slower! But I cannot so the only thing I can suggest is you slow down the speed in the settings! Instead of normal, you can watch it in 0.75, see if that works!!!

If she lost her accent she would be less interesting , at least to a guy ! A pretty face can only get you so far, but alongside a pretty accent, there is no defence !

She is such a sweet and entertaining young person who I thought was very funny and maybe a little naive that I was Hooked from the start. However she is speaking spanish , which now forced me back into learning spanish. If I want to try a different approach there are numerous other spanish sites. She is literally Enticing me to learn Spanish. Don't be too hard on her. Maybe your reasoning applies for someone who is professing to be a certified teacher , but Laura even says she does not want to be a teacher , she wants to be an artist , a you tuber , and a friend . The spanish lessons are simply the glue that brings it all together. CIAO !

  • Y : AND Please remember that when Y is before a word that begins with an "I" or "HI", we use "E" as conjunction of equality, instead of "Y", with the same meaning. Examples: Mar E isla: Sea and island Aguja E hilo: Needle and thread. Very important!!!

    • What would be the consequences of using "y" instead of "e"? Why is it "very important"? Thank you

    • @@moffman87 There won't be "consequences" as people not understanding you. They'll understand you. Spanish people will appreciate your effort speaking Spanish. This rule is very important because it helps you to speak easier. Here you have a few examples: - Carmen y Isabel: Try to read it. "Y" and "I" are the same sound, so you need to make an uncomfortable pause between "Y" and "Isabel". Carmen e Isabel (correct one): Now try to read this one. It's much fluent and easier, isn't it? You don't need to make any pause between "E" and "Isabel". Maybe you think this wouldn't be necessary but in Spanish you'll see that fluency and musicality in sentences are more important than simple grammatical rules. It happens the same with "O/U": - Claro o oscuro (wrong): Try to read it. You need to make a pause. - Claro u oscuro (correct one): You don't need to make a pause to pronounce it. I could have told you that we use them because Spanish grammar says so, but even they are grammar rules, this is the reason why we use them. I hope I've helped you. If you need any other info, just tell me. Regards.

This is such a helpful video that really encompasses so many useful words we all use in natural speech, and maybe can sort of figure out with listening but not enough to know fluently when speaking, that most classes or apps just won't mention but are so important.

This chick is unable to simply state that ESTO is "Gender NEUTRAL" or "IT" as it's properly taught..... and goes on about a bunch of non-sense to TRY to explain that concept. She's also teaching the WRONG THINGS.... She says "Aquel, aquella, aquello" is "Those" which is WRONG. "Those" is PLURAL when these are SINGULAR "That" w their "gender variations" I would not waste a lot of time.....on this.......just some Chick trying to MONETIZE her channel.....

    • Hola, Me gustan muchissimo tus videos, da verdad. Your energy, editing and jokes are all really, really fun to watch and make acquiring it an entertaining pleasure. (???) and then you offered to take/drive her there : "te llevo" "vete, corre" - "come on, hurry up, run!" He subscribido, por supuesto, y me espero con alegria a mas y mas y mas 'input' Please keep it up y muchas gracias por tu trabajo! GRACIAS!

    • @@Mosesnick This message is so sweeet!! It made me smile hard! I do agree that this is a great method as (in my opinion) is more entertaining and motivating. As you said it makes you love your mistakes and learn from them! It's so cool that you also try to teach this way! Keep it up! And yeah!! You almost got it! 'te vas? por?' y después 'a qué hora lo tienes (at what time do you have it/do you have to be there?)' and then I offered to drive her, exactly! Very good! I spoke quite fast so it's great that you understood most of it! If you have any suggestions of anything you would like to learn in particular, like any particular topic you would like me to do a video about, then for sure tell me about it!!!! After all I want to make content that will help you guys! :)

    • @@spanishafterhours Me gusta mucho que mi respuesta te ha gustado, wahey! Sobre las temas, diria que cualquier cosa que te gustan grabar, la nos gustaria escuchar. If you enjoy talking about it and get excited talking about it, that will translate to us because enthusiasm is infectious. Some kind of story maybe focusing on lots of preterito and imperfecto but nothing else, so that we can hopefully see the difference between when each are used. Or lots of present simple vs future to help us recognise the endings. I try to do this with my guys by having conversations and telling stories where everything has to be in either (a) past simple or (b) present perfect because learners always confuse those two. So I want to separate them and untangle them from each other in my students' minds. To narrow the focus and simplify things a bit, tensewise. Otra cosa es que me gustaria mucho escuchar a un conversacion entre usted y alguien mas. Conversacion entre 2 personas es muy util por escuchar a la interacion social natural. Y saber que son las palabras y las espreciones que usan corrientemente las hablantes de Espanol. Pero, no quiero ser .. quisquilloso (ho ho, que grande palabra) Gracias otra vez por tu respuesta. Keep doing what you do. Adios!

    • @@spanishafterhours O, EN REALIDAD, que pensaria de bromas o historias muy, muy pequenas? Podiamos practicar y recordar los verbos porque nos gustan las bromas. No es importa que serian graciosas. No las uso en mi escuela porque es demasiado serio, pero pienso que las bromas y historias bastanza pequena a ser memorabilisado sean muy util Gracias AGAIN

    • @@Mosesnick HAHAHAHAH muy bien!! Quisquilloso! Todo me parece muy buena idea! I was thinking that maybe I can read a childrens book changing it all to one tense! And I can totally see telling sotris in one tense too!! It's great! (Because it is difficult to concentrate in grammar while doing comprehensible input! thanks for that. And I was totally planing on doing natural conversations! I was planing a debate in which the both of us has to defend a point of view (for example one defends dogs are better and the other cats are better) and then another one that's a natural conversation on a topic that if downloaded could be listened on repeat.
