  • His career really has been magical so far. It's just amazing how in tune he was with his success. Both inside and outside the cage, his come up was special. No WWE grooming like Brock, no Olympic background like Rousey, no pro boxing father and uncle like Floyd, no one taught him how to use his intuition, or how to navigate massive success. He read books, watched videos, worked hard. That's it. Fully self made; everyone around him was telling him it was impossible. Even in the UFC, fighters and media were telling him what he was saying was impossible. No one believed that anyone could come up from nothing within a few years like Conor did. He showed all of us.

    • Get the fuck out of here. Floyd changed the boxing game and Conor simply stole what he did and took it to MMA. Conor took what the WWE did as far as characters and brought it to MMA. He even does McMcmahon’s walk. He changed the UFC but he’s not a combat sports game changer. Mayweather did that. He became his own boss, called the shots. As for Floyd he didn’t just have a father and uncle. His dad sold drugs to his mom, dad locked up at 16 and his uncle pretty much raised him from having no dad , a mom strung out on drugs , from poverty into the richest combat sports figure in history. I won’t knock Conor’s come up but don’t dare belittle someone else when you clearly don’t know the story. Fuck outta hear. He’s a white man like you so naturally you will make it seem like he did something that no one else did before him.

    • @@mightymouse652 He was handed history. He was the first one that Dana saw more money in allowing him to jump weight classes. It's all show with McGregor. I said from day one that if you put him in with a top notch wrestler he'd be pummeled. That's why Dana held off so long on having him fight a grapple or wrestler. Dog and pony show. Ever wonder why Aldo didn't get an immediate re-match? Because Dana was afraid McGregor would lose the re-match. That was a lucky shot. As the next 2 years went on Mc got better and Aldo got weaker - the rematch gave Mc a little cred.

He didnt prove himself as a champion? He beat the best there was to beat, got titles in 2 divisions and even managed to finish Nate diaz. And now when he comes back to mma he will face the best there is in his weight class. Being khabib numagamedov. I dont think you will understand but try. Look at everything he did

Respect where respect is due and what is due to others, they earn themselves. It is the law.

  • Love him or hate him, You have got to respect the fact that he came from a small suburb in Dublin Ireland with nothing but hard work and dedication. In one of his first fights early in 2008 he came up to a person recording his fight and said ' I am the future'. Little did the 22 year old apprentice plumber realise just how prophetic those words would turn out to be. Fast forward 4 years later and he was signing a contract with the biggest MMA company in the world, And who could forget the infamous words Conor shouted into the mic after the spectacular ko win in his debut fight against Marcus Brimmage...'Dana, 60Gs Baby'. And from then he put on some amazing fights at featherweight, To even dethroning the only UFC Featherweight champion Jose Aldo in spectacular fashion. The Brazilian fighter had not been beaten in 10 years and yet in 13 seconds he was knocked out by Conor. He then of course lost to Nate Diaz but went on to avenge the loss. Conor then made history in the UFC by defeating Eddie Alvarez to become the first ever UFC fighter to hold two belts simultaneously, Which he had done in the previous promotion also. Of course after this he went on to fight Floyd Mayweather in a multi million prize fight and even though he lost the bout he was praised by boxers such as Mike Tyson among other famous sports stars. Not bad for a Kid from crumlin in Dublin Ireland. He returned to the UFC to fight Khabib which he lost in the 4th round to a Neck Crank/RNC, but is the only fighter to have won a round against the undefeated champion. Unfortunetley Conor found himself in a lot of legal troubles, including assaulting an elderly man having a drink, Breaking fans phones and of course the infamous bus incident in Brooklyn. During this time he was'nt the guy we all loved to watch in the octagon and he lost a lot of his fanbase, There were also allegations made by a woman which he was questioned on and released without charge, His manager recently issued a statement ' Warning that Conor was not going to be an easy payday for wannabe Accusers/Gold diggers'. Of course this is not word for word what he said but that was basically the point, Conor also made a public apology for his behaviour and said that he was basically going to be a better person and role model to the millions of kids and people that look up to him. Conor came back to the UFC to fight Donald Cerrone at Welterweight and Conor won the fight in less than 45 seconds, Even using shoulder strikes to cause serious damage to cowboy's nose and orbital bone and then finished him off with one of cowboy's signature moves a brutal head kick and some hammer fists. It was great to see what felt like the old Conor McGregor back in the octagon and it was Clearly an emotional moment for Conor and his family too after all the negative publicity. Conor now has Ko's & Tko's in 3 different weight divisons in the UFC, Conor is due to return in January to face an old foe in Dustin Porier who conor beat at featherweight. This looks to be a really great fight as Porier has been doing extremely well at Lightweight and Conor has said that he will donate half a million dollars to a charity that Porier does a lot of work for called The Good Fight Foundation which is a great charity. Conor has also been very genorous in donating 1 million euro to the childrens hospital in his native hometown of Crumlin...Our Ladys Childrens Hospital , He has also donated and helped with the ongoing pandemic that the world is going through and please God we can find a cure/vaccine to stop this terrible pandemic that has cost so many people their lives. May God bless their souls and comfort their families. Anyway, after all this typing I guess what i'm trying to say is what I said at the start...And that is love or hate the guy, Nobody can deny that this Irish kid set out to become something that statisticly a kid from a working class background is not supposed to become , But Conor McGregor did'nt give up. Instead of accepting the 9 to 5 apprenticeship job, He kept going and kept fighting and most of all kept reaching up to the stars until eventually he became one himself...A Superstar...!! Mark Glynn Ballyfermot Dublin 10...!!

  • thought the floyd stop was WAY early when it happened and STILL think it was way early. Two men that are proven warriors and because Conor bends over and is taking contact they stop it? MMA fighters take shin bones to the head... That ref knew Conor gets winded late, Conor even told the ref that... "If I get dropped, take it serious, anything else and I'm just winded at that moment"... the ref saved floyd from a second wind Conor... might have meant something, might not have, we'll never know.

    • Why are people still saying this sh1t? Aldo, Mendes, Holloway, Alvarez ... How many belts have you won? Floyd fight was stopped early but I don't think TBE 50-0 would have lost or slowed down in rounds 11 or 12 so probably wins via judges ridiculously lopsided scorecards regardless. I do feel the referee protected Floyd a lot but without a KO in first few rounds McGregor was too inexperienced in that ring to beat Floyd. I get annoyed when boxing fans suggest that Floyd could have walked Conor down any time but he just wanted to make the fight longer etc. If Floyd could have knocked Conor out early in the fight or even land some big shots, he definitely would have. I feel people are most honest immediately after a fight, and Mayweather was impressed by Conor despite what he says now. A liitle bit more experience in the ring, 8 rounds max, and honest scorecards and Conor beats Floyd for sure. I think he beats any stand up fighter in the world over 3 rounds guaranteed.

Now mayweather wants to come to the octagon but change the rules so its actually almost like boxing in an octagon. In conclusion, floyd maywheater is a coward. And hes always been a coward, he will never have the balls that conor has by going into the others arena and playing by their rules. If maywheter did do this he wouldnt last 10 rounds or 5 in cotagons case he would be KOd even faster than Jose.
