The fusing of units does add the stats together. But you have to account for the blanket bonus not adding to it as it is applied after everything else.

Support effects do indeed stack. Frank and stein can fuse together ❤️ Magic Master works well with the red horrors that deal magic damage. Do you know what a gold level soul Orange 🍊 does?
