watch this fight and watch khabib versus edson barboza. Both barboza and conor were elite strikers but how different khabib's game plan was for both. In barboza's fight from the first he kept closing the distance to avoid kicks but with conor he was defensive and backed up to avoid conor's vicious counters. his ability to stay composed even after all those mind games of conor is appreciable.

Conors take down defence was very impressive He was 2 years retired and came back injured leading up to this fight. You could cleary tell his strikes where weakened by his balance due to the injury. So between ring rust , injurys. and to win a round before losing focus. Fair play. If the fight was two years earlier. Id say khabib would be asleep. That fight against alvarez was proves my theory. He was at the peak of his career. Won two titles in two different weight classes at the same time whilst holding both together. Then money may weather offers $100million which any one would take.
