A short montage celebrating the work of Ridley Scott. Set to music from Unkle, The Black Keys and Muse.
There's some minor violence in this video.

Holy hell he's a versatile director.
The end of this gets me so pumped to write!
The title montage at the end is awesome fantastic work
What a versatile Genius.
By this I fell in love with KNIGHTS OF CYDONIA by MUSE! Thank you!
Froy 2001 me too
me too
i saw Gladiator and Black Hawk Down at a fairly young age, and they were my first favorite films. And they're still my favorite films.
Such an incredibly diverse career... so many excellent films... man!
That big "cast-call" at the end can unleash anyone's inner badass.
Fantastic compilation and what was even better is the background music which has been edited very well! luvd it!
Love Ridley Scott. This one came out great =)
My fave director. Have you considered doing one for John Carpenter?
That was EPIC from start to finish.
I see how you used so many songs to portray the huge variety of films Ridley Scott has made. Excellent.
I absolutely LOVE your use of music. I love your use of UNKLE the most, because they really do deserve a lot of love. :)
One of my favorite directors of all time with a couple o' songs from me favorite bands. WIN.
I've been waiting for this!!
Out of all the films of series I love this one the most
is it just me or is it that every time i rewatch one of your videos it gets better and better
Thelma & Louise will always be my favorite Ridley Scott film :)
0:32 Those are some touching vibes..
Ridley Scott and Steven Spielberg, the greatest directors who will ever excist..
I love you, Kees.
Thank you for making one of Scott. As an aspiring Filmaker his films to me strike the balance between visual masterpiece and fine storytelling. My personal favorite from all the one's I have seen is Kingdom of Heaven. The cool thing about the film is that I got to go where they shot the inside of Jerusulem in Sevilla Spain. It was very cool. This video is very cool as well.
I love some of his movies, and I find sort of sad that sir Scott is not going to get any Oscar... :(
You are the man, great work!
Legend is such an underrated film. It's one of my favorite movies from the 80s and anyone that likes the movie Labyrinth needs to watch Legend.
great as always
You continue to celebrate our best directors in the most magical way, and this is nothing short of that. Well done!!! PS. Can't wait for his return to Sci-Fi with 'Prometheus' and 'Blade Runner 2'.
One of the gretest video that I saw not only in your channel, but also in the whole internet. I think that you introduce people in the true essence of the Art of Cinema. You freakin' rock, man!
awesome as ever.
That was epic. Well Done.
Wow, just wow. You have a bright future ahead of you sir. Good form, good form.
Great Job.
He's one of the best I like so much
freaking awesome!
Another triumph! I dont LOVE any of Ridley Scott's films, but this made me want to see the ones I havnt seen yet. Again, great job! BTW, I would love to see [the films of] Nicolas Winding Refn or Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Neither of them get the respect they deserve.
You honestly inspire my video editing. I love watching how you can combine movies so seemlessly. So many of these movies are different genres and yet they flow so well together. I would love to have your skill.
amazing ,i love this video
I LOVE these videos. They're so nicely done. Neil Jordan and Wong Kar-wai would be solid candidates for future videos, IMO.
love scott, love your videos.
Nice piece of collection. Nice video, all tho I liked his first few films more, then his new ones. Alien, Blade Runner and American Gangster are my favorites.
Amazing work man :]
you got crazy awesome editing skills dude. nice choice of music too. Bravo!
Bravo!
nice video, thanks for sharing
Awesome video, man. Thank you. It just felt kind of short, y'know, there were many more great shots from Blade Runner and so but great job.
I am so happy Ridley Scott has made a grand return to science fiction in 2012. I am looking forward for The Martian and the Prometheus sequel.
Best director ever, i love him
thanks man
Blade Runner is still one of the greatest Sci-fis ever made
HEY ist 1000th video in my favourite videos u deserve it
Well done, sir .The only thing I'd take off for was that the audio edit at the beginning of the Muse song is more noticeable than it should've been, but the transition into text was fantastic.
@keesvdijkhuizen thats awesome keep it up.
Such a great work. You get more and more interesting as time passes, I'm REALLY looking forward to Cinema 2011, you better not screw this one. A little side story: I was showing some raw footage of a project I'm working on to my parents and to some friends of their, when when I got the email alert that you uploaded the video, so I stop the clips that I was showing and I show them yours, they remained speechless, and wanted to see more stuff of yours. you gained 6 new fans.
the ending when you play knights of cydonia is so bad ass
I love all the songs you used in your videos. Can you create a playlist just with your favorite songs ?
muse! love it
@keesvdijkhuizen as someone who works in the industry, I can tell you that you don't need to go to school, you're already a better editor than many getting paid for it.
J.J Abrams: directed Star trek, Super 8, and Mission impossible 3. Richard Donner: directed Superman, the Goonies and Scrooged. James Cameron : directed avatar and Titanic ( of course). Brad Bird: directed the incredibles, the Iron Giant, and Mission impossible 4: Ghost Protocol. Ridley Scott: (all films in this video here), Steven Spielberg (I soppose thats what he means by "Steven") directed E.T, and Schindlers list
How did you even do this for such a large body of work? Amazing.
you got taste for movies and music
thanks man, that really helped.. :)
I just know, G.I.Jane, Galdiator, Robin Hood, Black Hawk Down and they are realy good films!!! That Video is also Great;-))) You use good music to it
Going to have update this one, now that Prometheus has been scheduled for release.
I tought you'll use more Blade Runner. But still you make one of the finest videos on KZhead. This one is good, it's raw. It's whole Ridley Scott. P.S. Ive got personal question. What are you doing for living? or studying? Is it combined with films or production? Cuz i'm curious where do you get all this knowlege and sense used in your videos. If THIS is only your hobby then.....WOAH i'm impressed^^
You are a bad-ass Dutchman, my man! XD
"Have you ever been dragged to the sidewalk and beaten till you.....PISSED BLOOD!!!!!"
YEAH I ALREADY SAW IT its pretty EP!C
I wish you had used a little more classical score music rather than rock. But still well made like the others. I'm glad you did RS because I had forgotten about a couple of the films he's done.
ye, Prometheus is a sci-fi gem, one of the most complexe and best sci-fi movies ever made, like Alien and Blade Runner it will become a classic. After watching it twice i kept thinking about the concepts of the movie like Inception and that what makes it great. We don't see these types of movies often these days
Ridley truly shines in Science Fiction..Some Horror The rest of his stuff is o.k. Looking forward to ALIEN COVENANT! LOVED PROMETHEUS!
I have entered the contest. Maybe I will be lucky enough to meet the man.
@keesvdijkhuizen hey, your work is amazing congratulations! I was wondering if you could make one for Martin Scorcesse?
Can't wait for Prometheus!
This video is helping me get over how bad The Counselor was.
good I like
igual opino que la ultima cancion estaba exelente, el video esta exelente me hace apreciar mas al director de lo que realmente lo aprecio, me pregunto si puedes hacer uno de Paul Thomas Anderson, estaria genial
I really like it, but I still wish it had more 'Blade Runner' and definitely more 'Matchstick Men'.
Add Prometheus. Anyone who understands the original myth (which wasn't just about some demi-god giving fire to mankind, but rather a huge epic about divine judgement and thinking you know better than God) will know it was a masterpiece. I spent four hours discussing its elements with my father and we barely even addressed the horror aspects.
Knights of Cydonia!
What was the movie where it showed napoleon standing over a valley?
Can wait to see Prometheus :)
@ridlazz921 thank you very much
Why the hell does this video only have 1 top comment?
When we all grow up, we will be able to say: We, WE ! were the ones who loved Kees before he got so famous. That is a fact.
He loves cutting frames
Darren Aronofsky deserves a "[the films of]" video :)
What's the name of the song that playes between 0:47 - 0:52 ?
Not enough Thelma and Louis on this video. I only noticed 2 shots of it. Great films anyway.
Needs more Blade Runner. But otherwise this was fantastic.
tony always was a top gun... god rest his soul. I think a tribute for him would be appropriate
what movie is the clip of the motorcyclist dragging his blade from?
tribute for ridley's brother, tony
@keesvdijkhuizen You know what this means? Honestly? That they obtained a great material to make hell-of-a-damn-good Editor! Youve got so much predispositions! Your works have watched over 2 000 000 people - hey, that must mean something;> In few years I want to see your works on a BIG SCREEN! Don't let me down^^ Peace!
outstanding as usual but some blade runner skyline shots would have perfected it :D
I must admit, Kees, as an aspiring editor myself... I'm very jealous of you. Then again, the Dutch are good at everything. But you are too good.
@TheDzigi94 its from the begining in body of lies ;) thought thats almost the only time in the movie that you will see a US Soldier in action
What A Crazy Motherfucking Good Piece Of Art Just Amazing, Keep it Up! PS: I can't wait for Cinema 2011, I'm so so curious :')
Beauty of fight
Please add Ang Lee to my list from last night, please. THank you.
