Despite my numerous praises (and complaints) I went over in my review for Suicide Squad, I will never, and cannot ever forgive Rocksteady for putting the Arkhamverse into this game, and murdering it thoroughly.
That’s the main reason people hate this game not the relatively dry story and missions but the fact they killed of the bat in a game series all about the bat
To your "Why does the Arkhamverse needs to be attached to this game?" question, it's simple. Because if the Arkhamverse wasn't attached to this game, then it wouldn't get that many sales for both Rocksteady and Warner Bros. That said, they did it to not only get sales from gamers but also fans of the Batman Arkham series. And I get that the whole purpose of the game is to Kill The Justice League. Superheroes and Super Villains get killed in media. But the thing is that if you're going to kill a beloved hero, you have to make it, at the very least, as somewhat respectable as possible. Don't do it just for the shock value or you did it because you hate these heroes and want everyone to love your new characters. This, to me at least, is terrible. They did say that down the road they will bring the Justice League back from the dead, but they can't recover from this. The damage is alright done and there's not enough damage control in the world or universe to change it. Personally, as a Batman fan and Batman Arkham Series fan, I don't consider Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League canon. Batman Arkham Origins through Batman Arkham Knight is canon. Anything else beyond those 4 games is non-canon. In short, F Rocksteady, f Sweet Baby Inc and most of all f Warner Bros.

I don’t care what the davs say this game is not canon to me I refuse to believe that this game is canon to the Arkham verse. There’s a theory that the justice league which they kill are not the original characters but clones for example when boomerang cuts flashes finger off then when we see him again with purple eyes his finger is back to its original place like it was never cut off and I hope they go lead with that in the sequel if it ever happens.
As for the continued Batman Arkham, i can see them bringing in a younger Arkham origins like Batman from another universe (similar to how Lex is bought into the Arkham verse). And they can get Roger Craig Smith to voice him from Origins, due to the unfortunate passing of Kevin Conroy...... I also would love to see them return to an Arkham game with the Shadow of War nemesis system, it is literally built for Batman lol
bro that is such a good idea, i only recently played shadow of war and it’s easily one of my fav games solely bc of the war system in it it’d be perfect for a batman game

I think a really cool trick they could've done which would have amplified the game would have been changing the "good hero". Imagine, Batman as the good hero instead of Wonder Woman. He could have worked with the squad to actually take down the Justice League using his contingency plans etc... furthermore, throughout the game Brainiac is actively trying to capture Wonder Woman etc... Batman is known to hide in plain sight as well as hide in the shadows, being untraceable and undetectable - it's literally perfect, he could have been helping the squad whislt staying incognito etc. He would have also had good dialogue with Waller as the don't seem to like each other etc. Batman should have been the good hero, it would have honoured his legacy of being "arkham Batman"... the Batman who canonically helped kill the Justice league. Great video nonetheless
what this game released as and what rocksteady initially wanted it to be i believe are 2 very different things all the delays the amount of people who left rocksteady during development and wb's involvement whatever that was turned what should have been more like guardians of the galaxy into marvels avengers

The Arkham verse....... ISN'T DEAD. I tell people forget not only is this a life service game meaning the story is clearly not over, But a multiverse one at that, besides the numerous and I mean numerous hints throughout the story The Justice League is clearly not dead My hypothesis, first thing is we don't even have the bodies of all the members, second after the flash boss fight it's clear that brainiac teleport at the body somewhere else, So my prediction is every new season when we discover a new elseworld that's where we'll find the Justice League member and now we have to rescue them

They couldve at least put this game into another universe , then bring arkam batman and justice league into it to team up with the suicide squad & beat all verions of brainiac for exemple , this wouldve been a better game .the joker is dead in arkam city but they bring back a new one from another universe but cant do the same for batman ??! instead they killed the original and the whole arkam franchise , well that brillante.... its still time to save it with a dlc story , where brainiac actually cloned the arkam justice league (the onces killed )to create an army , so the next mission is to save the original members that are prisoners somewhere and used to be cloned . and we can call it suicide squad save the justice league . But i doubt they wanna do this , this new rocksteady team didnt made the arkam series, this is why they distroyed it!

This is a problem with Batman in general. Even though he's still a normal human he's the definition of plot armor. And Rocksteady had to nerf him to make the game fair.
