Daily Homesteading: Moving the Chicken Coop
IS SPRING HERE….OR ARE WE JUST BEING HOPEFUL?!
We’ve had a few nice days through the week and we are getting the “spring bug”! We decided to move the chicken coop further back then it was to give the grass a chance to grow back in that location as well as give them a new location of fresh grass and unpicked ground!
Deep down we KNOW winter is NOT OVER but we are being hopeful and starting our spring clean up and starting to organize where the layers will go for the spring to fall, getting a brooder ready for the chicks who are due to hatch in a couple weeks as well as get a location prepared for the meat birds who will arrive in 6-8 weeks! We also have been considering adding some more animals to the mix so stay tuned!!
