I spent two years homeless. In that two years, I spent a quiet a bit of time with nature.First lesson I learned was balance. The rocks taught me to focus and take my time. The trees and vines taught me to walk on the earth with respect. The darkness taught me to use my ears, as sight. We are to the flower as the tree is to us. Imagine a world the trees could walk. Would we not want them to walk on the earth with caution awareness and respect? The flower wishes the same of us. Love all living life!

I experienced being homeless for 4 years & had a powerful experience as well. Although I do not wish to experience that ever again I am a better person because I went thru that. Rid attachment to material possessions, learned empathy and to love fellow humans and all creatures unconditionally, learned humility in it's purest sense, learned to advocate for myself & members of all marginalized populations, understood for the first time quantum physics; law of attraction, about energy & that our thoughts & beliefs ABSOLUTELY CREATE OUR REALITY. I learned my own strength. Any one else experience houselessness & wish to share what it was like?.

I’m amazed at HOW FAR outside his confort zone he has came for all of us. The fear to speak in public is massive for people who speak in the language they were brought up and educated. Stage fright. Fear of not belonging. So many real life dangers , facing people’s resistance and apathy, being away from home for years. Not giving up on humanity. Showing up authentically... for the world to witness. We owe him so much for the message in his presence.

I just heard a podcast about the fragility of our western civilization and how people have lost their knowledge of survival techniques. The speaker suggested that after a collapse many would gravitate to indigenous tribal areas to survive. These are the only people on earth who know how to survive in nature without electricity, man made medicines and supermarkets. It is in our own best interest to respect and protect these tribes.

I, for one, am of the opinion, that a person's deep connection to the land, to nature and the elements are instilled & achieved by the methods in which you are raised; what you are exposed to and what you are taught as well as the environment and stimuli that you arent. That was in 2014. What is happening now in Brazil, 5 years later, is absolutely horrendous. The Bolsonaro government is rolling back all protective laws, tribal lands are opened up to mining, ranching, logging etc. We need to support tribal peoples and stand with them against the onslaught that is taking place. Join Survival International, sign petitions, donate, whatever it takes to safeguard their future. They are the ones who have the knowledge and moreover, the attitude that may save us all.

I actually cried when he said his door is always open. I want to drop everything and go and see if this natural life cures or helps my many chronic illnesses. I’m 25 next month and already have a hysterectomy and can’t hold a job because of my other, worse medical issues. I’ve always been an outdoorsy person and I’ve always felt more connected with nature and the animals than the society we live in today. I don’t even know who I am, I have no spirituality, and I don’t know what to do with my life. I already feel it’s over. I don’t have the money or support to do things like this, but I wish I could.
I hope that an opportunity finds you and allows for you to spend time with nature. I really do!

He is there talking to us because they are losing their way of life due to the rapid change in society. Our tribes were dissolved, wherever they are they are, and we had to accept this because of the many diasporas that continue since biblical times to this day, yes it is till happening. And if we jews cannot trace the tribes - I can trace my lineage 500years, and not through DNA- if we don't know how would anyone else. That seems fanatical and a very gentile thing to state. There’s a perception that masculinity has to mean aggression, anger, lack of harmony, volatility, intolerance, strong-mindedness and stubbornness- that’s simply the western contortion of masculinity. Masculinity can be gentle and kind and strong and loving and wonderfully tender all at once, just as femininity can be. Anything else simply holds people back from being the beautiful people they can be.

By some amazing stroke of luck, this American got to do a ceremony with some representatives of the Yawanawa tribe. It was one of the most joyful experiences of my life. I realized our western arrogance towards how indigenous people live, and how we've got it backwards: they know infinitely more than us about living a meaningful, peaceful, joyful life.

Leon, as did I. I just came back from living with the Yawanawa for 10 days. Life changing.
Do they truly know more about living a happy life? Or are they simply infinitely more happy because they are removed from everything that makes us unhappy? I've always known or at least had a suspicion that people who live remotely or indigenously are happier because in their world there are no worries. Living naturally as they do there just simply is no room for unhappiness.
The fact that he wants to be home in his tribe but isn’t. Learning new languages, traveling to different countries because of how we have done natives terribly wrong. You can see he has accepted what has happened but is trying to protect his and many other tribes future. We need to do better.

But - I do think it is a good thing if we can feel the compassion, in the present, for difficult histories in the past still impacting the present, when they are brought to our attention. Listening with open minds to others' stories is a powerful way to be truly human. Feeling that compassion can heal lots of wounds we did not have any direct role in afflicting. Also we ourselves are grateful when we are having a hard experience and receive compassion and understanding, right? I hope these thoughts offered as conversation can be received as only that.

My people (Lakota), do the same thing. We ask permission of the animals and plants to consume them, honor them for their sacrifice. Why? Because they are living beings, with lives and memories. Our brothers and sisters. So it makes sense to speak to the plants and animals before we pick and hunt them.

I didnt understand much, I am German. But I saw his eyes and his face and I heard his voice and know what he is telling about. And he touches me deeply and I feel: Most of us, born and living in Europe in zivilisation, are ill in body, mind and heart, me too. It takes a strong spirit to do what he did. Most people can’t even imagine leaving the comforts of their homes to go somewhere that has a completely different array of languages and societal norms. And to do it without looking down on us but rather with an openness to understanding. I think we’re all brainwashed monsters who don’t give a eff about how we effect other people with our daily routines. But maybe I’m just too cynical. It's the frequency, all energy. It literally sends a signal (vibration) to the spirit, thus the "we are all connected". Nature will do this as well. Even living in a big city, going out at night or during the day. When showing pure appreciation to all of nature it shows appreciation right back. ✌️❤️🌏⚖️🙏♾️

What a beautiful soul.. I’m Japanese and felt a strong connection listening to his song. I agree with him the western way has set us back, nobody even knows how to live in nature anymore or how to heal the body and soul, knowledge has been destroyed and we’ve become slaves to the system and we’re fueling the power that’s creating so much destruction hate and chaos, we have all become lost souls. There is no respect towards our true god (nature) I know many westerners feel the same and is fighting to protect nature. We all need to stand together they control us by keeping us divided.

I have fantasized many times how life could be so much joy if we would leave in a tribal world, where your main priority would be waking up to find something to hunt or gather for our family and our self, be able to explore & wander without been concern on how to pay your taxes, get the newest phone, decide what to dress, worry if you are praying to right God. All of these things the just seem unnecessary if one compares.

Similar social conventions and stress that exist in your society also exist in tribal societies. I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing both a western modern way of life and a tribal traditional way of life. I don’t think I fit in either one of them. The western modern way is too stressful, too materialistic, too disingenuous and detached from the natural way of life. However my tribal culture is too misogynistic where I as a woman felt and was treated like a second class citizen, I didn’t have equal opportunity to education as my male relatives and the gender roles are quite restrictive. However, I love my traditions, my culture’s connection to nature and spirituality and so many other things. I guess I just have to be greatful for being able to be exposed to such different lifestyles and it’s up to me to find my place in the universe just as I pray that you will find that world & life you fantasise about! 🙂
There is something very sweet about him. I noticed it from the beginning, just very innocent and endearing, like a child. But he is not childish, he just seems like a very gentle guy. I love it, that can be rare to see, one who is gentle but yet authentic and wise. A quiet wisdom. Thank you ❤

I'm Brazilian too. My paternal grandmother was from the Guarani tribe. I'm proud of my heritage and I am very connected to nature and a great lover of the winds and thunderstorms since I was very little. I also use medicinal plants.. I've learned with my father. We come from Earth, we eat from Earth and we go back to it.

I'm Paraguayan so i also speak Guaraní too cuz it's an oficial language with Spanish in Paraguay,so i'm not an indigenous but we Paraguayan do speak Guaraní cuz it is part of our culture but i always wondered what was like the Guaraní tribes culture before the Spaniard colonization,do Guaraní tribes in Brazil keep having same habits,culture and customs even after Portuguese colonization?

Being mixed with Native and barren of culture it was really nice to hear him sing.... listened to it on repeat. It was like instead of hearing it with my ears...I was listening with my blood. Like my body heard it not my ears. There is so much shame with Native culture it seems hard to find anyone who knows the culture, are proud of it, and teach it. People care so much about other cultures....but because native culture is more on the respectful side it appears to get pushed aside. It seem to me like the dramatic cultures that complain and make a fuss are the ones that get nurtured and cared for. How do you say....the squeaky wheel gets the oil.... But I think having respectful for each other and caring for the world will make a come back 🪶🦅🫂🌎😘🪶

GS GS To go back to the earth and to our nature I recommend to love yourself, choose healthy habits, eat lots of veggies, love and respect not only people but animals as well. Don't let the media brainwash you, you don't need all the junk they make you believe you need, lots of makeup, clothing, tech devices and so on. Keep it simple, technology can help us sometimes, but don't depend on it. If you do that you will suddenly realize you have more time, spend it doing something that makes you feel useful and happy. Build a relationship with God, by praying, meditating, doing community work, whatever makes you feel your life has a purpose, because we all have a purpose in life. Hope you find it.

Comments about being suprised about him leaning a new language is actually very condescending. Other people learn new languages to communicate. It's very top down and treating him like a child. As an half Indigenous person myself, Indigenous language is way more complex then English. Ofcourse he can learn it in order to help others learn and grow. European language is more primitive then other languages and ways of life. Thank you for helping translating our ways to help others heal. I spent 4 months in the Amazon researching to help understand, learn and go back to my roots. He is a scientist the original scientist of our world. Each one teach one and grow. If you were socialized different (culture, place, time, status) you would be asking different questions. 100 years from now we will be asking questions based on our socialization based on place, time, culture, status. That you exist is a truth, for example. Energy is another truth. Consciousness, or all that is, is another truth. Now, i do know that we create conditions to experience from such as gravity, and the many limitations we human beings experience from our perception. These are not laws, however, for they are not absolutes.
