  • Dude thank you so much for making this video, I've been wanting a chrony test of the Mod 25 in .22 cal for so long! I bought the Supertact in .177 a while back but had to return it cause the breach hole was incredibly tight, loading pellets without damaging them was a pain but I miss being able to take a powerful break barrel on my backpack so much that I wanted to order it again on .22 and now you've convinced me! Seems like it loads those pellets without any issue, thanks again!

  • Hatsan 25, Hammerli Firehornet, Webley Typhoon, it's practically the same gun, all of them used to be spring-loaded, now Hatsan has moved towards gas springs. I know that you Americans like the .22 caliber for its hunting capabilities, but from my own experience, I can say that such a large caliber in any gun smaller than 17 juli makes no sense. The shot fall is very high, too high. I'm from Poland, where we have a limit of 17 Juli and a better choice is the 177 caliber. Especially if you want to shoot at a target. (Hunting with an air gun is not allowed in Poland) Then you load very light Crosman Wadcutter or JSB Exact Expres pistol pellets, and Very high muzzle velocity cuts beautiful, even holes in the disc. For this reason, I have not yet purchased the Crosman 2240, because although it is a very nice gun, I would have to convert it to a smaller caliber. Crosman 2300 again, it's great, but very expensive to buy in Poland. If you want a real gun with a classic spring that is well made - buy the Diana LP8 Magnum or the Weihrauch HW45 - these are real guns.

    • Hello there. Yes, I have seen a few guns like the ones mentioned. They look just like the Hatsan mod 25. I have seen a similar situation between the Hatsan Jet and the Reximex mito pistols. They also look like the same gun. I'm sorry to hear that the gun laws in Poland are so strict. America is on the way to that very situation.

    • Also, I think Crosman makes the best looking pistols. They remind me of a Luger. Thanks for commenting and watching.

  • those are thumpers. when the cylinders heart up they make the air expand more = velocity , keep a record of your guns fps and the days conditions to find out valuable info besides performance you can tell if it's starting to wear down or what conditions it shoots best at. My only suggestion is to take advantage of those nice woods you have in the background if you can for a dedicated range . It's accuracy has me wanting one for the backpack for sure.

  • This actually made me reconsider wanting a Ruger pistol... Anything under 400fps sounds a bit low to me even for 10m shooting {P17 is right arround 400fps and is still very fun} The Hatsan seems to be pretty equal in power to the (not detuned to 495fps) Benjamin trail pistol! [Edit; nope twice the weight but same velocity] Good enough for a plinker for sure! I guess the lower power ones still can be great basement/ short range shooters tho {Extra edit: YT censorship is strong today. Tried to reply 4times I quit}

    • Yeah I was looking at the Ruger also. I probably would have gotten one if it had come in .22 cal and had more power. The Hatsan Supercharger is a tower of power for a break barrel pistol. I'm glad this video helped. It was fun to make. Thanks for watching.
