Gilbert has been CHAMPION HUNGRY for years. He has not changed one bit. He's still an animal and super talented. He wants fights, and he always has. I'm hoping this humble athlete gets his fights He so deserves. The guy just wants to fight, and as fans, we want to see him fight. He absolutely ROCKED Usman, and I believe he could have won than fight.

Believing "he coulda woulda shoulda" what's the point, didn't happen. It's MMA anyone can win at anytime. Usman ultimately ROCKED him as a FINISH as opposed to Burns rocking him and recovering. I can understand if you say you believe he can win the re-match. Definitely he can win a re-match. For comparison, I believe I also could have invented KZhead cuz my idea was ROCK-solid but I didn't. You literally can't fault Burns. He's the welterweight Dariush. Just guys putting the work in but seeming to hit a snag where they're being continuously ducked (Masvidal/Belal-Burns, Poirier-Dariush) or overlooked by the company they're working hard for.
Nah Dariush never got a title shot. Burns got smoked by the Nigerian nightmare.

I hope this isn't taken the wrong way, it's really helped Gilbert Burns that he learned the language. He's already had one title shot (Burns vs Usman) and he could well be working his way toward another. It helps that he communicates effectively. We all know what he wants.

That shtick getting old. I think it only works if you actually win the title. Otherwise you loae, people dislike you, and they come at you in real life (Masvidal). He's playing a "heel" WWE character but in this "script" the heel doesn't get the win for the face to come back and overcome him. The "face" Usman was actually more menacing than the heel. I think that's why we don't see or hear from for extended periods of time, because hea carefully crafting the next "angle" for his character. I don't believe that "UFC was gonna cut me for being a boring fighter" line.
