Tiger Snake
The Tiger Snake is a venomous species crawling around Australia and its coastal islands. There’s no question it lives up to its name when it comes to danger! These snakes generally prefer sources of water such as creeks or wetlands. The Tiger Snake's deadly bite is full of venom packed with myotoxins, coagulants, hemolysins, and neurotoxins - a fatal concoction for the human body.
These snakes can reach a brutal three to seven feet in length, although males are generally larger than females. Their diets mainly consist of frogs and tadpoles but may extend to other creatures like small rodents, bats, insects, fish, and birds. In extreme cases, they're also known to feast on each other!
Rattlesnake
You’ll find rattlesnakes in diverse habitats thanks to how adaptable they are; they can live in places ranging from the desert sand and wet swamplands to green meadows! These cold-blooded reptiles are essential parts of a balanced ecosystem. As predators, they control small mammal populations and even provide food to larger animals.
Most people bitten by rattlesnakes have most likely trampled on them - so watch your step because these bites can be quite a nuisance. Even though a rattlesnake bite is rarely fatal, the venom can be potent and result in death if you fail to provide timely medical treatment. Other symptoms of a savage rattlesnake bite include temporary or permanent muscle damage, loss of a limb, internal bleeding, and unbearable pain around the bitten area.
