"The Square" stars Claes Bang as Christian, the respected chief curator of a prestigious contemporary art museum. His next show is "The Square", an installation which invites passersby to altruism, reminding them of their role as responsible fellow human beings. But sometimes, it is difficult to live up to your own ideals: Christian's foolish response to the theft of his phone drags him into shameful situations. Meanwhile, the museum's PR agency has created an unexpected campaign for "The Square." The response is overblown and sends Christian, as well as the museum, into an existential crisis. There are points I did not understand: He mentioned that he is the person who created the theme, when I believe it was created by the artistry of Lola Arias! Upon answering why the movie is located in a museum, Ruben says that it is because he was invited to show the film in a museum (?). How come? The film was already done. I don't get him.
he was invited to the museum for the actual square thing, not the film, if I understand correctly.
No. Lola Arias had nothing to do with it, Ruben used her name but the piece is fictional.
